A strong wind whipped everyone's clothes, drawing all eyes.
Then, elegantly dressed entrepreneurs, exuding an air of composure or arrogance, entered, led by a group of welcoming hostesses.
Beyond their attire, the sheer aura emanating from these individuals set them apart from ordinary people.
They were, at least, leagues ahead of everyone present.
"What's going on?"
Lei Zhengtang, who had just stood up, abruptly sat back down, his eyes widening.
Beside him, Wei Chen, the largest building materials dealer in Hanjiang, stared with disbelief.
Trembling, he pointed at someone on the screen and exclaimed, "He, he's Zhong Jihua, the biggest board tycoon in Modu!"
Wei Chen's shout nearly deafened Lei Zhengtang.
He stared intently at every face on the screen. Not only Zhong Jihua, but also building materials magnates from Modu, Jingdu, Jinmen, and almost every other region across the country were present.
Some were even unfamiliar to Lei Zhengtang.
At that moment, Lei Zhengtang felt as if struck by lightning, slumping onto his seat, his comical face fixed on the television.
"Haha, look! Old dog Lei's face is absolutely hilarious!" Yang Fei pointed at the screen near Ling Feng's feet and couldn't help but mock.
Ling Feng clearly saw Lei Zhengtang's expression, a cold, disdainful smile curling his lips.
"Hmph, if you enjoy watching a joke so much, keep watching!"
As Ling Feng spoke, Tang Zhao, who had been startled awake, pointed at someone on the screen and exclaimed, "Is that Modu's board tycoon Zhong Jihua? How could it be him? How could he possibly attend our bidding conference?"
His mind was a whirlwind of confusion.
Yang Fei directly answered his question, "What's impossible? For my elder brother, nothing is impossible!"
Tang Zhao looked at Ling Feng in disbelief, gasping and his face filled with astonishment. "Mr. Ling, did you invite these distinguished guests?"
Ling Feng waved his hand noncommittally, pointing at the screen. "Keep watching the show."
Tang Zhao quickly turned his head, then swallowed hard before picking up the microphone. He addressed Guo Zhigang and the other three, "Don't just stand there, go and welcome the guests! These distinguished guests are here for our bidding conference!"
Guo Zhigang and the other three had been stunned by the scene.
But upon hearing Tang Zhao's urging, they snapped back to reality, a surge of joy washing over them. They exchanged glances and hurried off the stage to greet the arrivals with utmost respect.
However, what Guo Zhigang and the other three hadn't anticipated was that the arriving guests were far more enthusiastic than they were.
Zhong Jihua, leading the group, immediately spotted Guo Zhigang. He strode forward, grasped Guo Zhigang's hand, and laughed heartily, "Haha, President Guo Zhigang! I'm Zhong Jihua, the one who buys wood boards. A pleasure, a pleasure!"
"Haha, thank you for your hospitality. Today we are on your turf, so we hope for your kind consideration during the bidding!"
Guo Zhigang was utterly bewildered, taking a long moment to process.
The entire audience was equally stunned, the scene falling into a dead silence.
This was Zhong Jihua, the top board tycoon of Modu, a magnate whose stature was unmatched by few in the entire Dahua region!
In terms of assets, Wuhu Group was insignificant compared to him!
Such a prominent figure was being so warm and courteous to Guo Zhigang?
Guo Zhigang felt as if he were dreaming. If not for Lu Youhai nudging him, he would have remained lost in a daze.
"Oh, oh, Mr. Zhong, you are too kind. Your presence is truly an honor for us!" Guo Zhigang finally responded, his tone laced with a hint of awe and trepidation.
But before Zhong Jihua could be seated, a group of people approached.
"Hello, President Guo, I'm Lin Min. I'm in the steel business in Jinmen, and I appreciate your consideration this time."
A beautiful woman from Jinmen, appearing to be around thirty, was exceptionally capable, clearly a strong businesswoman.
This was the Lin family, who had risen to prominence in Jinmen during the era of Daxing Heavy Industry!
The Lin family's steel business had reached its third generation.
Lin Min, as the successor of the third generation, had most of her companies involved in investments, forming the Lin Group. She rarely appeared in their original steel business.
Yet, Lin Min was present today!
"Miss Lin, you jest. Your presence is the greatest consideration for us!"
Guo Zhigang felt his hands sweating, his heart pounding furiously.
This young female entrepreneur, Lin Min, renowned on the Dahua Rich List, was Guo Zhigang's dream woman!
For this forty-year-old bachelor, it was almost too much to bear!
"President Guo, hello, I'm from Jingdu..."
"Hello, President Guo, I'm from Hong Kong..."
As each person introduced themselves, Guo Zhigang and the other three felt a sense of numbness, mechanically shaking hands.
Many of these individuals were their idols!
There were even some elder statesmen, entrepreneurs who had achieved fame thirty or forty years ago, legendary figures in the Dahua business world.
These people had come one by one, even shaking their hands.
In stark contrast to the lively scene involving Guo Zhigang and his colleagues, the local building materials dealers from Hanjiang were all deathly pale. The atmosphere was deathly silent, with not a single person daring to stand up.
They were genuine participants in the building materials market and were most familiar with the magnates entering.
What did they represent to them?
If they were the foundation stones at the bottom of a pyramid, then Zhong Jihua, Lin Min, and others were the figures at its apex.
The disparity was immense!
They were the idols they had yearned to meet.
And today, their dreams had come true, only to realize with horror that it was a nightmare!
These people were right before their eyes, yet not one dared to approach them for a greeting.
Because no one present was blind!
Everyone could see that Zhong Jihua and the others were here for this bidding conference.
The people from Hanjiang, however, were not here for the bidding conference but for Wuhu Group.
The two sides were already at odds, making the situation not just awkward, but excruciatingly so!
All the building materials dealers in Hanjiang felt as if the sky was about to fall.
