“Rebels, die!”
Ye Zixiao suddenly leaped into the air.
He bypassed the soldiers firing at him and crashed into the crowd. He unleashed five or six punches in rapid succession, each one sending an enemy flying.
“What is that?”
“Enemy attack, there’s an enemy attack.”
“Quick, quick, kill him.”
The enemy ranks erupted in chaos.
Within the throng, Ye Zixiao was like a berserk beast, charging and smashing his way through, a visible black energy emanating from him, his entire being radiating killing intent.
One punch.
An enemy’s head exploded!
One grip.
An enemy’s neck snapped!
Anyone who came near him was instantly killed or wounded. Yet, the soldiers with submachine guns nearby, witnessing Ye Zixiao’s rampage, found themselves unable to aim.
Guns were effective at range and in one-on-one combat, but not in close quarters. Especially when a large group surrounded one person, how could they fire? Opening fire would inevitably hit their own men!
“Draw sabers, kill him.”
Chu Nantian roared from not far away.
He had recognized Ye Zixiao.
Seeing his nemesis, his blood boiled. Chu Nantian wished he could flay Ye Zixiao alive, but as a commander, he had to consider the bigger picture and couldn't personally engage Ye Zixiao in a death match.
Amidst the chaotic crowd.
Many soldiers fixed bayonets.
“Kiss my ass!”
Ye Zixiao cursed, but he picked up a submachine gun. Spinning in place, he unleashed a whirlwind of bullets, cutting down a circle of enemies.
After emptying the magazine.
Ye Zixiao switched to another gun.
“Damn it, fall back!”
“This guy is a lunatic.”
“Fire, fire!”
Seeing their comrades falling in swathes, the remaining soldiers panicked. Some retreated rapidly, others shrieked like ghosts, and some, in their panic, instinctively opened fire.
The battlefield was filled with shouts and curses.
Bullets exploded wildly in the crowd.
Unfortunately, not a single bullet hit Ye Zixiao. Instead, dozens of his own men went down, because before the wild firing began, Ye Zixiao had already plunged into an even denser cluster of people.
“Kill him, kill him!”
Chu Nantian roared in fury.
But it was useless.
Facing Ye Zixiao, who was as ferocious as a wolf king, the soldiers, despite their basic training, dared not get close. To approach meant only death!
The Chu family’s elite special forces, over a thousand strong, combined with the Xiao family’s more than two hundred men, had held a decisive advantage. But Ye Zixiao alone had disrupted the Chu family’s offensive.
“Who is he?”
“Is he even human?”
“God, this is bloody unbelievable.”
“Charge?!”
“Damn it, why aren’t you charging?”
Within the disarrayed Chu forces, a growing sense of dread began to spread. The soldiers already had reservations about rebelling, and even the loyal troops were reluctant to fight their own countrymen.
Now, facing the rampaging Ye Zixiao.
Many soldiers began to retreat.
“Charge, go and kill him!”
Chu Nantian continued to bellow.
“Kiss your mother!”
A cold female voice suddenly cut through the air.
“Who’s there?”
Chu Nantian instinctively turned.
A beautiful figure descended, two curved blades slashing towards Chu Nantian’s head. Fortunately, Chu Nantian was a hidden master and instinctively retreated, successfully evading the two attacks.
“Tang Keke?”
Chu Nantian exclaimed, raising his handgun.
“That’s right, it’s me!”
Tang Keke advanced with her twin blades.
“You, know martial arts?”
“I know more than your mother!”
Perhaps it was due to prolonged exposure to Ye Zixiao, or perhaps it was her hatred for the traitors, but Tang Keke had adopted a foul tongue. She raised her twin blades and charged at Chu Nantian again.
A burst of gunfire…
Chu Nantian emptied his handgun in one go.
But Tang Keke was at the peak of her speed. She not only dodged the bullets but, in a flash of movement, brought down a blade, slicing off one of Chu Nantian’s ears.
“Your mother!”
Chu Nantian exploded in rage.
He bore no personal enmity towards Tang Keke; his deepest hatred was for Ye Zixiao and Lin Qingzhu, who had disfigured him. Before his old grudges were avenged, he had his ear sliced off by this female magnate.
Chu Nantian’s appearance was now utterly hideous.
His rage reached its zenith.
“Bitch, die!”
Chu Nantian cursed, dropping his empty handgun. He snatched a bayonet from a fallen soldier, his face contorted with fury, and lunged at Tang Keke, roaring, “I’ll chop you into pieces and feed you to the dogs!”
Clang!
Clang, clang, clang…
Chu Nantian swung his bayonet several times.
All were blocked by Tang Keke!
“Are you a Martial God?”
Tang Keke asked with a hint of surprise.
“You know now, it’s too late!”
With his killing intent at its peak, Chu Nantian suddenly launched a flying kick. The speed and power of his strike were so immense that Tang Keke couldn’t counter, only manage to cross her twin blades in front of her chest to block.
Boom!
A dull thud!
Crack!
Chu Nantian’s kick snapped both of Tang Keke’s curved blades and struck her chest. He sent her staggering back, five or six steps before she could regain her balance.
“Pfft—”
Tang Keke coughed up a mouthful of blood.
“Bitch, still not surrendering?”
Chu Nantian pressed forward with his bayonet.
“Surrender? Kiss your mother!”
Tang Keke showed no fear. She dropped the broken hilts of her blades and suddenly darted forward. After a few rapid left and right dodges, she appeared behind Chu Nantian?
“What’s going on?”
Chu Nantian was completely dumbfounded.
He had never expected her to be so fast!
Giving Chu Nantian no chance to react, Tang Keke, now behind him, formed her hands into claws and raked them down Chu Nantian’s broad back.
After a series of ‘pfft pfft pfft’ sounds…
Chu Nantian’s back was gouged by Tang Keke’s fingernails, creating more than a dozen deep furrows. As strips of flesh were torn away, blood hadn’t even begun to flow, but bone was visible!
“Waaah, damn it!”
Chu Nantian screamed in agony.
But before he could retaliate, Tang Keke flashed to his front again. This woman’s fingernails seemed sharper than blades as she clawed at Chu Nantian’s face and chest.
Another flurry of ‘pfft pfft pfft’!!!
Chu Nantian’s face was unrecognizable.
One of his eyes had been gouged out, a terrifying gash opened in his neck, and his chest was a mass of bloody wounds. His clothes were in tatters, and he stood like a demon, shrieking.
“Save me, I’ll kill you.”
Chu Nantian, now frenzied and terrified, began to retreat. He realized that in terms of speed, he was no match for Tang Keke. He was reluctant to accept it, but it was the truth.
“I am also a Martial God!”
Tang Keke, covered in blood, said coldly.
A burst of bullets forced Tang Keke to dodge and retreat. A squad of guards seemed to rush forward, protecting Chu Nantian as he began to withdraw into the crowd, temporarily escaping Tang Keke’s pursuit.
The entire battle situation had once again turned.
Ye Zixiao, like a savage beast, had thoroughly thrown the Chu and Xiao forces into disarray. Tang Keke, like a female ghost, had left Chu Nantian brutally mangled.
The soldiers grew increasingly demoralized.
They stopped attacking and switched to defense.
On another front, the Chu forces attacking Lei Guo’an were also facing significant obstruction. Not to mention the bravery of the guards, Jiang Xiaoyao and her dozen subordinates were making them cry out in pain.
As the Chu family’s situation became less than optimistic.
Chu Feng received a call from headquarters.
“What? What the hell are you saying?”
Upon receiving the report, Chu Feng’s face turned ashen with terror.
“Report, Commander-in-Chief, a large number of unidentified armed forces have appeared at the North Gate of Beihai City. They are not troops from Jiang City, nor from the Sunken Country. They are a special operations unit of unknown origin.”
“A large number of unidentified armed forces?!”
Chu Feng’s eyes widened upon hearing this, and he roared, “That’s impossible! Besides the soldiers from Jiang City, no other city could have arrived so quickly. Contact them and ask for their origin?”
“Report, Commander-in-Chief, the other party has refused to communicate. I estimate they are likely planning to attack the city.”
“Attack the city?!”
Chu Feng was completely stunned.
