Chapter 1268 A Word on Completion

Unknowingly, this book has been written for a year and a half.

It's time to say goodbye to everyone.

Let's talk about the book first.

I originally thought this would be the first book I wrote to reach a million words, but I didn't expect it to drag on... tut! Writing it to nearly three million words.

As a newcomer, being able to write so much with relatively stable results makes me a little proud. (Hands clasped)

Regarding the plot, I'm quite satisfied. The only regret is that the romantic relationship between the male and female protagonists was too fast at the beginning. They confessed without much buildup (although many readers still complained it was too slow...).

Apart from that, on the career path, I didn't write much about the film and television industry. As a result, when Jiangnan's identity was revealed, it wasn't as exhilarating as Tingyu's. These are all problems with my plot arrangements.

I also know that I still have a lot to improve in terms of plot control. My writing skills are insufficient, making some aspects not very smooth, especially towards the later stages. I feel like my brain went numb, and it felt like my body was drained every day just writing, unable to produce a single word for half a day. That feeling is worse than constipation...

Then there are the characters.

The characters in the singing group were all set from the beginning, but my writing skills are limited. It was very strenuous to portray Gong Juren, Jiang Xiao'e, Zhang Yang, and Zhang Wei, so I weakened the "Slipper Brothers" and the Shen siblings in the later stages.

However, what I didn't expect was that after portraying so many people, Shen Jinghong would actually become the most popular character in the later stages...

Actually, like Chen Shuhao, I originally intended Shen Jinghong to be a minor opponent who wasn't very important. But later I realized that a genius character with such a good background, coupled with Mo Yan's guidance, shouldn't be an enemy of the protagonist. He has the arrogance of youth, but he should also inherit Mo Yan's broad-mindedness. I think he is like Mo Yan in his youth.

So, in terms of character design, I added some plot to him, and he became the current Shen Jinghong.

In fact, many plots and characters in this book have deviated from the original intentions, but this is also normal. After all, once the author starts writing, the development of the characters is not something the author can control. The best way is to let them tell their own stories.

Regarding the ending.

In fact, a foreshadowing of the two crossing over was planted in the first chapter.

I didn't write about their choices. As for what their final choice was, anyone who thinks a little should be able to figure it out, especially since they sang a song.

Then there's the update schedule.

As I always say.

Although I'm short, I'm very persistent.

In the early stages of this book, I didn't take any days off. In the later stages, when I lacked inspiration and got stuck, I only used the website's monthly leave of absence. In a year and a half, from the creation of this book to the finale, there were no missed updates, and I received the full attendance award every month. Isn't that amazing?

Then, regarding the "padding" issue, although you gave me the nickname "Shui Guo" (literally "Water Fruit" or "Padding Fruit"), I don't think I padded it that much. After all, in the entertainment genre, without lyrics, song analysis, and audience feedback, it wouldn't be called entertainment.

It's worth mentioning that the comment section of this book simply stunned me. There are nearly 400,000 comments. This means that if each comment has ten characters, the total number of characters in the comments is more than my book itself...

I have to say, everyone in the comment section is a talent. When I have nothing to do, I often scroll through the earlier reviews and see many readers who have been following the book from the beginning and have accompanied me all along. (I wanted to mention names, but I was afraid of missing someone and disappointing you, so I won't name anyone. Please apply it to yourselves.)

Oh, and there are a few readers who have been criticizing my plot since the beginning and are still watching. I can only say, "You're amazing, I give you a thumbs up!"

To be honest, I'm very touched. As a struggling author, the most gratifying thing is feedback, whether it's praise or criticism. Both mean someone has read the book, and that's enough.

Then, about the new book.

It's also an entertainment-themed book.

However, the style of the new book is quite different from this one. Su Yu has Lin Chaoyang, his father-in-law, as his backing, so I never wrote about capital games. Moreover, Su Yu's personality leans more towards being a slacker who would rather lie down than sit. Therefore, it's not easy to set obstacles for him.

But the protagonist of the new book has very clear goals and will face more obstacles. He won't be as smooth sailing as Su Yu, which is a new attempt in a way.

I've also made a bold change in the romantic storyline, which can be considered as "getting on the bus first, then buying a ticket later."

New book title.

Um...

I think I've said most of what needs to be summarized.

That's all for now.

Thank you for accompanying me for so long.
