In Han Country, Liu Jing had no relatives or connections and lacked power and influence. When the time came, she wouldn't be able to do anything about him, but her little strategy had been seen through by Lin Mo.
Liu Jing hesitated for a moment, her eyes showing determination as she wrestled her hand from Jiang Wei's grasp and said, "It's getting late, I still have to cook for my mom and dad."
Long Jianfeng and his group's eyes held a hint of fierceness as they stared intensely at Lin Mo, clearly resenting him for spoiling their plans.
Jiang Wei's brows furrowed in anger, "Xiao Jing, didn't you say we were good friends? How come you don't even trust me?"
"It's not that I don't trust you, it's just that I really have something to do," Liu Jing bit her lower lip as her hands nervously clutched her dress.
"There's no need to go," suddenly Lin Mo said, looking at the door of the private room with a frown.
Just at that moment, the door to the room was pushed open. A group of men wearing tank tops, with shaved heads, poured in, about a dozen strong, their bare arms and necks tattooed with various strange patterns.
Some had tattoos of birds and beasts, some had inscriptions, and others had bizarre patterns and totems. But one look at these guys and you could tell they were not to be messed with.
The man leading them had his right arm in a cast—Quan Xiangyu, whom they had seen today at the restaurant.
Beside Quan Xiangyu stood a man dressed in traditional Han Country attire, around forty years old, his gaze sharp and predatory.
"Big Brother, the ones who hit me are these two people, they're both from Huaxia," Quan Xiangyu said upon entering the room, his face showing anger and viciousness as he saw Lin Mo and Yingzi.
Inside the room, Long Jianfeng, Jiang Wei, Nie Ping, and the other young men and women were taken aback by the group's arrival, their faces showing panic and even some confusion.
"It's Quan Dongyi," Long Jianfeng said, his face slightly pale.
Although everyone was students, some gangs in Han Country were well-known, and naturally, they had heard of Quan Dongyi.
This was the younger brother of the leader of Seoul's Bloodthirsty Society, a dominant force in Seoul's underworld.
Quan Dongyi looked casually at Lin Mo and Yingzi, then coolly found a sofa to sit down on, and his followers hurriedly lit a cigar for him.
"Brother Dongyi, I'm Long Jianfeng. I don't know if you remember me? I met you once at a banquet with my father," Long Jianfeng said, bracing himself as he approached.
Quan Dongyi lifted his head, glanced at him briefly, and then said, "The son of Mr. Long Hao, I have some recollection."
"Brother Dongyi, today is my birthday with my classmates, I wonder if Brother Dongyi..." Long Jianfeng asked cautiously.
The crowd breathed a sigh of relief seeing Long Jianfeng able to talk to Quan Dongyi, whom the latter seemed to recognize. Jiang Wei, Nie Ping, and the other young men and women even looked at Long Jianfeng with a hint of admiration.
The Bloodthirsty Society was one of the largest gangs in Han Country, and with Quan Dongyi's special status as a super Big Shot, ordinary students like them would never have the chance to speak directly with him.
But Long Jianfeng only had the privilege to talk; even though he was lustful and cunning, he was smart. As a minor, he carried little weight, perhaps only his father could have managed a few words in that situation.
"Are those two your classmates?" Quan Dongyi's gaze focused on Lin Mo, his eyes occasionally flashing a cold light, like a leopard sizing up its prey.
"They are not my classmates," Long Jianfeng said.
"Then you have nothing more to do here," Quan Dongyi said, looking past Long Jianfeng and directly at Lin Mo. "Is it you who hurt Quan Xiangyu?"
Long Jianfeng, Jiang Wei, Nie Ping, and the others looked at Lin Mo in astonishment.
So it was this guy who had beaten up Quan Xiangyu. No wonder the other party had come straight to the KTV.
"Yes, I beat him. What about it?"
Before Lin Mo could speak, Yingzi stood up, her pretty face flushed with a trace of anger.
Lin Mo had casually imparted some magic to Yingzi, enabling her to understand the languages of various countries; this bit of magic was nothing more than a trivial trick.
"You are very beautiful," Quan Dongyi squinted his eyes and stared at Yingzi, his gaze filled with a hint of greed, "but since you hit my man, you owe me an explanation. Otherwise, I can't establish myself in Seoul."
Suddenly, Quan Xiangyu interjected, "Big brother, don't waste time talking with them. Let's grab them first—I want revenge. Let the big brother enjoy the girl first, then let me have a turn."
As he spoke, Quan Xiangyu licked his lips.
"Shameless," rebuked Yingzi, as she kicked Quan Xiangyu in the stomach. He rolled back like a tumbling gourd, his head swarming with pain.
"Damn it, capture them for me!" Quan Dongyi had not expected someone to dare attack Quan Xiangyu in front of him and cursed furiously, a trace of murderous intent emanating from his body.
A gang of thugs received the order and charged straight at Lin Mo and Yingzi.
Lin Mo sat on the sofa, unmovable as a mountain, while Liu Jing clutched her small hands nervously, her face filled with anxiety.
Long Jianfeng, Jiang Wei, Nie Ping, and the others had already hidden themselves to the side, fearing they would be caught in the crossfire.
"Mr. Long, can you please help?" Liu Jing suddenly turned to Long Jianfeng, pleading.
Long Jianfeng stood as still as a statue. Even if his father were here, it wouldn't be of any use. The opponent was a figure from the underworld, and he dared not confront Quan Dongyi.
Yingzi extended her palms and stepped lightly like walking on ripples, her figure elusive. The thugs charging towards her were sent flying before they could even touch her clothes. In a moment, more than a dozen thugs were all lying on the ground. Even Quan Dongyi, seated on the sofa, couldn't hide a look of shock and amazement in his eyes, his brows tightly furrowed.
"You think you're great just because you can fight?"
Fire blazed in Quan Dongyi's eyes, filled with anger. Several of his men who were less injured stood up and pulled out handguns from behind them, the dark barrels aimed at Yingzi.
Inside the private room, Long Jianfeng and the others fell silent, not even daring to breathe heavily.
It was a handgun; no matter how skilled you are, you can't block bullets.
Han Country had relatively lax gun control, especially for Quan Dongyi's men to be armed was not out of the ordinary. They would normally not use them, however, to avoid causing public alarm.
Seeing them draw their guns, Long Jianfeng's legs turned to jelly, and he stammered fearfully, "Brother Dongyi, my classmates and I don't know them. Can we leave first?"
"Go ahead," Quan Dongyi replied calmly, with an unfazed expression.
To Long Jianfeng, it was like hearing the sound of heaven. He turned and ran towards the exit of the private room.
Jiang Wei, Nie Ping, and the others followed behind him, leaving the room one by one like fish threading through water, except Liu Jing stood still, unsure whether she should leave or stay.
"Xiao Jing, hurry and go," whispered one girl, seeing Liu Jing still standing there.
"I..." The hesitation was clear on Liu Jing's face.
After all, Lin Mo and Yingzi had come with her, and the entire incident had started because of her family's restaurant. How could she possibly run away by herself at this time?
"Xiao Jing, you go back with your classmates first. We'll be back shortly," Yingzi said to Liu Jing with a reassuring smile.
Liu Jing bit her silver teeth; staying here now would be useless. Pulled along by a classmate, she too left the private room.
Now, only Quan Dongyi's group and Lin Mo and Yingzi were left in the entire private room.
