"Oh?"
Young Master Morgan finally looked at him with a domineering gaze filled with the aura of a supervisor.
"There's someone named Lin Mo who seems to have an unusual relationship with Miss Su Xinhe. I heard it from others, so I immediately reported to Young Master Morgan." Han Xuan bowed his head, not daring to look at him.
Young Master Morgan's eyes widened, "Is there still someone in this world who doesn't know what's good for them and dares to vie for a woman with me? I'd love to meet him."
"Whoever dares to vie for a woman with Young Master Morgan is just courting death." Han Xuan hurriedly echoed.
"Alright, you can leave now. I've remembered your name." Young Master Morgan's lips curved into a sinister smile.
Han Xuan, elated, said, "Thank you, Young Master Morgan."
As long as Young Master Morgan casually mentioned his name in some setting, his status within the Han Family would rise significantly, making taking over the family business just a matter of time.
After Han Xuan left, a blood-red glint flashed across Young Master Morgan's eyes, "Su Xinhe, you are mine, and I can't wait to have you."
"Go and close the door, I'm hungry." Morgan ordered.
The four bodyguards standing behind him slightly changed their expressions, immediately turned around, exited the private room, and firmly locked the door.
A woman with long purple hair fell softly into Morgan's arms, her eyes flirtatious as she said, "Young Master Morgan, you're hungry. What do you want to eat? I can call someone to deliver it."
"I want to eat you." Young Master Morgan's face displayed a sinister smile, suddenly embracing the purple-haired woman and placing his mouth on her fair neck.
"Young Master Morgan, are you going to eat me?" the woman laughed seductively, suddenly widening her eyes, her face contorted in pain.
Young Master Morgan raised his head, his mouth stained with crimson blood, revealing two ferocious fangs.
The other women in the private room turned pale with fright and fled in panic.
Soon after, the room was filled with screams of women, but it only lasted for half a minute before everything fell silent.
Young Master Morgan pulled out a tissue to wipe the blood off his lips, his sinister face wearing a creepy expression, "The blood of these women is really hard to drink, but perhaps a woman like Su Xinhe with excellent genes has delicious blood!" With that, Young Master Morgan extended his tongue to lick the bloodstains on his lips.
The next day.
St. Peter's Hotel, luxurious cars lined up, with hundreds of bodyguards heavily surrounding the hotel, their expressions serious, attracting curious glances from passersby.
Opulently dressed men and women stepped into the hotel, all core figures of America's high society families and conglomerates.
"Young Master Morgan." A young man in a black suit, with a confident demeanor, walked briskly toward another young man with a glass of wine.
"Master Billy."
Harmon Morgan smiled slightly.
"Young Master Morgan, today is your engagement ceremony with the most outstanding member of our Billy family, Miss Su Xinhe. Congratulations, congratulations." Master Billy said with a smile, holding up his wine glass.
"It's all thanks to Master Billy's help."
Harmon Morgan raised his glass.
"I hope that in the next councilman election, the Morgan family can cast a vote for us, to help us secure a councilman seat. You know, the Billy family has the fewest council members among the four great families."
Billy showed a helpless expression.
"That can be easily arranged. Once I marry Miss Su, we'll be the closest partners." Harmon Morgan said with a smile, patting Billy on the shoulder.
No one was around the two of them, as the sons of prominent families like Morgan and Billy, very few were qualified to converse with them.
As they spoke, their gaze suddenly fell on the entrance of the hotel's banquet hall, where several Asian men and women walked in together.
"These people all wield significant power." Jing Jin whispered, noticing several councilmen he had seen on television, along with some famous super-rich.
Though Jing Jin, Liu Huwen, Han Xuan, and others came from decent families, in relative terms, ninety percent of those attending the Morgan and Billy family banquet were more powerful than their families.
Thus, Jing Jin, Liu Huwen, and Han Xuan all behaved cautiously.
Beside the trio stood a man and two women, namely Lin Mo, Wu Yuexin, and Su Xinhe.
Su Xinhe wore a gray gown that showcased her graceful figure to perfection, her delicate earlobes adorned with a small pearl necklace reflecting a faint sheen.
"Sigh."
Su Xinhe sighed softly, with a slight aloofness on her oval face.
"I do wonder how you plan to handle Young Master Morgan?" Jing Jin secretly sneered, his eyes glancing toward Lin Mo.
Han Xuan, similarly, glanced at Lin Mo and said, "The Morgan family is the most powerful family in Chicago, even stronger than the Billy family; their influence is immense."
Han Xuan deliberately elevated the Morgan family's status, because the Han Family's dependency on the Morgan family undeniably boosted their own standing.
"Xinhe, Little Yue, we've been waiting for you."
Across from them, two men and two women approached with smiles, all dressed luxuriously and exuding extraordinary demeanor.
One taller male with gold-framed glasses said with a smile, "Xinhe, I didn't expect you'd be getting married so soon after graduation."
"Hmm."
Su Xinhe managed a strained smile.
The four before her were all Su Xinhe's college classmates, graduates of the world-renowned Harvard University, all elites among elites.
The man in gold-framed glasses was named Cao Sen, a finance major graduate who now held a senior position on Wall Street and came from a well-off family background.
The slightly chubbier man was Ma Quan, a college sensation who started his own business and was now thriving.
As for the two young women, both of whom were above average in appearance and dressed exquisitely with abundant jewelry, they clearly fared well. The one with short hair was Zeng Xuan, and the one with long hair was Meiqi.
The group gathered to chat.
Jing Jin, Han Xuan, and Liu Huwen mingled warmly with the four, exchanging business cards, flattering each other, knowing well that networking equates to wealth.
Suddenly, Cao Sen's gaze landed on Lin Mo, who hadn't spoken a word. He smiled and asked, "Xinhe, is this also your friend? He doesn't seem to be from our school?"
Zeng Xuan, Meiqi, and Ma Quan all focused their attention on Lin Mo. Seeing his unimpressive attire and lack of elite aura, they couldn't help displaying disdain.
"He's a high school classmate of mine, Lin Mo." Su Xinhe said softly.
Lin Mo cast a calm glance at the group, his expression indifferent, "I didn't go to college."
To be continued tomorrow.
