Chapter 32 A Familiar State

Zhang Wenwen stood triumphantly atop a pile of fallen Divine Race soldiers, her expression haughty.

Blood stained her robes, and blood dripped from her hands – the blood of the Divine Race!

Zhang Wenwen, leading the True God Cult, had actually annihilated the supposedly invincible deities!

Witnessing this scene, even Zheng Hao was moved to kneel on one knee.

If previously Zhang Wenwen’s miracles were attributed to sheer luck, aided by Zhang Chen’s power…

Then this scene before them was inexplicable.

Even if Zhang Wenwen's luck was still involved, it was now a part of her strength.

Moreover, such preposterous luck could no longer be explained by science. If not divine favor, what else could it be?!

Others also prostrated themselves.

Many powerful individuals had initially respected the True God Cult out of their admiration for Zhang Chen.

But at this moment, they sincerely believed in the existence of gods. At the very least, Zhang Wenwen’s faith seemed to be genuinely real.

*Whoosh!*

A portal suddenly opened.

Swarms of Gromos, in utter panic, fled out.

Though they were fleeing disaster, the simultaneous appearance of so many Gromos startled everyone present.

One was enough to be fatal, let alone so many appearing at once?!

"Giji giji!"

Xiao Ruan spun a few times in mid-air, signaling everyone to relax.

"Huh? Xiao Ruan? You’re back! Where’s Dad?"

At this moment, Mo Ran and Xiao Bai, having concluded their battles, also returned from outside the city.

"Giji, giji!"

Xiao Ruan's tentacles waved anxiously.

"What? Dad disappeared?!"

"Slow down, speak slowly, don't rush!" Mo Ran asked anxiously.

"Giji…"

Xiao Ruan floated onto Mo Ran's shoulder and chattered away.

"You’re saying… Dad found something incredible in another world."

"Then something collapsed, the energy disappeared… and Dad vanished with it?!"

As Mo Ran spoke, he was on the verge of tears with worry.

"The True God has vanished?"

Zhang Wenwen was taken aback.

She absolutely refused to believe that Zhang Chen, a deity, could die. He was forever an unconquerable being.

Furthermore, Zhang Wenwen had an inkling that her sudden victory was deeply connected to Zhang Chen.

"Don’t worry, the True God will be fine."

"Didn’t he disappear before during the final battle with Xu Linna?"

"But he reappeared soon after."

"We just need to wait patiently, the True God will definitely return!" Zhang Wenwen said, her eyes filled with anticipation, proud and confident.

Meanwhile…

Zhang Chen found himself once again in a spiritual form.

However, this time, it wasn't in the apocalyptic world, but in a… world he couldn't even describe.

The architectural styles of this world were a fusion of ancient and modern, East and West. Some areas featured modern high-rise buildings, others had ancient-style structures, and some were Western in design.

It gave one the feeling of being in a chaotic, time-warped setting.

Yet, the energy flow in this world was exceptionally stable, with no spatial turbulence.

This indicated that the world’s architecture was intentionally designed by its craftsmen.

"This place’s aura feels familiar!"

The Netherworld Mushroom, which had been suppressed and struggled to speak in the Divine Realm, finally spoke.

"Yes, it does feel familiar, but I’m certain I’ve never been to a world like this!" Zhang Chen nodded in agreement with the Netherworld Mushroom.

"This world seems to have three types of meteor energies flowing within it, how miraculous…" the Netherworld Mushroom continued.

Zhang Chen activated his Absolute Vision.

Instantly, the entire world’s energy network came into view.

Indeed, as the Netherworld Mushroom had said, the powers of the three types of meteor energies converged into a new form of energy.

Powers that were originally repelled had fused seamlessly, without any sense of discordance.

Although the energies of the three meteors were not abundant in this world, their combined might had surged severalfold.

Furthermore, there was a tall tower in this world, atop which sat a pink crystal the size of a fist.

This was unmistakably a fragment of the core of the third meteor!

It pulsed with a radiance as dazzling as the sun within the world's stable energy network.

"If I obtain that, my spiritual form should be released!" Zhang Chen muttered to himself.

His previous spiritual form had been a result of the Time and Space Meteors.

Thus, upon returning to the past, he had been forced to relive all events, reaching the point of the great battle before shedding his spiritual form.

The way to break free from temporal energy constraints was to complete the time loop.

So, would completing the task related to the third meteor involve absorbing this fragment of its core?!

Zhang Chen’s thoughts stirred.

Having acquired parts of the cores of the Time and Space Meteors, Zhang Chen could perform spatial travel even in his spiritual form.

In the blink of an eye, he arrived at the top of the tower.

The pink crystal was within arm's reach.

Zhang Chen reached out and lightly touched it.

His finger passed directly through the crystal…

"As expected, in my spiritual form, I cannot make any substantial contact with anything in this world… not even the meteor core."

"I need to find an intermediary, have them absorb the energy, and then I can absorb the energy from them to release my spiritual form." Zhang Chen rapidly analyzed the situation.

"But… whom should I find to absorb this meteor?" the Netherworld Mushroom asked.

"We need to find someone whose body contains almost no energy, so they can better integrate the meteor’s energy."

"This world’s energy composition is too complex. If one already possesses this energy within them, they cannot fully absorb the meteor core."

"If that were possible… this meteor core wouldn’t be left here for nothing!" Zhang Chen stated.

"I sense a powerful consciousness, possessing strong conviction. Someone with such qualities should be more capable of completing the task!" the Netherworld Mushroom inquired.

"Of course, take me to him!" Zhang Chen nodded.

*Whoosh!*

Zhang Chen vanished instantly.

He reappeared in a dilapidated wooden hut.

A little girl, clad in rags but with a solemn expression, knelt before a statue, her hands clasped in silent prayer.

In the bare room, there was an exquisite wooden chest containing a clean and beautiful dark red robe.

"Master, look at this!"

The Netherworld Mushroom projected a part of its consciousness towards the chest.

"This robe… it looks like the robe of the True God Cult." Zhang Chen immediately recognized the robe’s origin.

"It seems this little girl is a follower of the True God Cult."

"Is there a True God Cult in this world too? I wonder how many followers there are!"

As Zhang Chen spoke, he heard the little girl’s prayer drawing to a close.

Finally, she uttered:

"The sole follower of the True God Cult, devoutly offers…"
