“No stars?”
Lin Xiaoxiao’s words instantly put Tang Xueyao on alert. She quickly walked to the window and looked up at the sky.
Indeed, it was pitch black, and nothing could be seen.
But the moon was still in the sky in the distance, and next to the moon, a few stars could be seen.
As her gaze shifted slightly towards the city, the stars in the sky seemed to have been wiped away, leaving only pure blackness.

Soon, only Tang Xueyao, the drowsy Underworld Mushroom, and the two mentally unstable Xiu Min and Xu Ruina were left in the room.
She had witnessed the strength of the Black-Tailed Swallow Legion before.
If it weren't for Hu Zi back then, that one person might have been able to annihilate the entire city.
Although Tang Xueyao had absorbed some of that person’s energy (and some was eaten by Hu Zi), she still felt she wasn’t confident in facing other members of the Black-Tailed Swallow Legion.
Firstly, her combat experience was lacking. Secondly, that fatty held a low position within the entire Black-Tailed Swallow Legion. Even if Tang Xueyao’s strength was comparable to a member of the Black-Tailed Swallow Legion, she would still be at the very bottom.
Therefore, after considering everything, the odds of winning were slim.
She could only hope that the Underworld Mushroom would awaken and help her fight, so that she might be able to protect the True God Cult’s base.

Lin Xiaoxiao’s side had begun to act.
Streams of energy beams shot straight up from the ground into the sky, carving dazzling lines of light in the dark night.
However, when these beams reached the sky, it was as if an invisible abyss swallowed all of them.
There was no explosion, no rebound, they just silently disappeared.

Then, more illumination skills were launched.
Energy orbs were pushed into the air and then exploded, illuminating the surroundings as if it were daylight.
Yet, the sky remained as dark as ink, and nothing could be seen.
The giant dark presence not only devoured energy but also swallowed light.
If the opponent had made any reaction, Tang Xueyao felt it would be normal.
But the opponent made no move, which made her very uneasy.
Firstly, it indicated that her army could not cause any harm to the opponent, so the opponent didn't need to respond to such an attack.
Secondly, it suggested that the opponent might be preparing a major killing blow, one that, once unleashed, would bring about utter devastation.
“Su Ran, how are things on your end?”
