Chapter 30 Not Poisonous

After filling out the information, Lin Feng and Feng Jingwen left the bank.

“Do you want to drive your car, or mine?”

Feng Jingwen pressed the car key, and a yellow Beetle flashed its lights.

“Mine, please.”

Lin Feng took out his car key, and the black BMW beeped.

Feng Jingwen followed the sound and saw it, her beautiful eyes showing a hint of surprise: “The latest BMW XS, I love this car so much!”

“If you like it, feel it.”

Lin Feng smiled and, like a gentleman, opened the passenger door for Feng Jingwen.

“Lin Feng, you’re amazing. Even the low-end version of this car costs over three million, and yours is a completely imported one!”

Feng Jingwen examined the interior decoration, her curiosity about Lin Feng’s development over the years growing.

Although they hadn’t seen each other for many years, Feng Jingwen had heard about some of Lin Feng’s achievements from other classmates.

According to them, Lin Feng had remained an academic prodigy, full of knowledge but living a very meager life.

Now, seeing this, Lin Feng was nothing like what they had said!

Lin Feng noticed the surprise in Feng Jingwen’s eyes and understood her reaction.

He drove them to the Imperial Hotel.

Quite a few cars were parked at the entrance of the hotel, all belonging to his high school classmates.

Feng Jingwen had already posted in the group chat about attending the class reunion with Lin Feng. Upon learning that Lin Feng would also be attending, the classmates had been discussing it in the group.

Lin Feng didn’t care. He got out of the car and went to the private room for the gathering, where all the attending classmates were already seated.

The moment Feng Jingwen and Lin Feng appeared, many eyes were drawn to them.

Feng Jingwen, with her bombshell figure and stunning looks, was undoubtedly the most eye-catching sight.

In contrast, Lin Feng was dressed ordinarily. While handsome, his reputation in recent years hadn’t been great, leading to everyone’s disdain and indifference.

“Jingwen, we’ve been waiting for you, you’re finally here!”

Class monitor Pang Ye greeted them with a smile.

He was tall and burly, dressed in designer suits. His career had been booming in recent years, and he had always been a leader among their classmates.

Today’s gathering was initiated by Pang Ye, and those attending were mostly his followers.

“Class monitor, not only am I here, but Lin Feng is too.”

Feng Jingwen tugged at Lin Feng’s sleeve, pulling him to the front.

“Oh, Lin Feng, you’re here. Have a seat!”

Pang Ye responded indifferently and personally moved a chair for Feng Jingwen.

Lin Feng noticed the lack of warmth from his classmates and didn’t bother greeting them. He sat beside Feng Jingwen and quietly took a sip of his drink.

“Jingwen, you’re still as beautiful as you were back then. I heard you work at a bank and earn tens of thousands a month, so you’re doing quite well among our class!”

“Yes, Jingwen. You and the class monitor are the ones doing the best in our class. We’ll definitely need your help when we handle our business at the bank in the future!”

The crowd chatted enthusiastically, but not a single word was mentioned about Lin Feng.

“Alright, let’s eat and chat. The owner of the Imperial Hotel is my friend, so everyone feel free to eat and drink as much as you want. I’m treating today!”

Pang Ye said with an arrogant smile.

One of his followers seized the opportunity to ask, “Class monitor, I heard the owner of this hotel is a well-known underworld figure, known as Brother Gou. How did you become friends with him?”

“Your information is too outdated. This hotel has changed ownership. The person in charge now is Brother Dao.” Pang Ye chuckled.

“Class monitor, what do you mean? How did it become Brother Dao’s?” everyone asked, confused.

“It’s like this: this Brother Dao was originally a subordinate of Brother Gou. Later, Brother Dao cut out Brother Gou’s kidney and took his place!”

“And when I got to know Brother Dao, he hadn’t achieved his current status yet.”

After Pang Ye’s explanation, everyone listened with pounding hearts, sighing that Brother Dao was truly a ruthless individual, daring to cut out people’s kidneys so readily.

Lin Feng, however, wasn’t concerned at all, as the Brother Dao they were talking about was actually his subordinate.

“Jingwen, I ordered your favorite dishes. Taste them and see if they’re still the same as back then!”

Pang Ye then picked up a piece of food with his chopsticks and offered it to Feng Jingwen’s mouth.

“Wow! Class monitor, this display of affection is too blatant. We feel like we’re third wheels!”

Several female classmates feigned shock, understanding Pang Ye’s intentions.

Feng Jingwen felt a little awkward and politely refused, “Thank you, class monitor, but I’ll do it myself!”

“Oh, right, you guys don’t know what Lin Feng does now, do you? He’s actually doing better than me and is now one of my biggest clients!”

Seeing her classmates’ cold attitude towards Lin Feng, Feng Jingwen took the initiative to bring him up.

To her surprise, the crowd responded with disdain, “Jingwen, you don’t need to put in a good word for Lin Feng. We know what he’s like.”

“By the way, Lin Feng, I heard from a friend that your girlfriend dumped you and is now with a rich second generation. Is that true or not?”

As soon as these words were spoken, Lin Feng frowned slightly and sneered, “It’s true, but it wasn’t that she dumped me. We just weren’t compatible and broke up amicably.”

“Tch, we’re all classmates. Do you have to pretend in front of us? Who doesn’t know who?”

The crowd snorted, giving Lin Feng no face at all.

“Enough! How can you say that about Lin Feng? You don’t know him, he’s not what you think!”

Feng Jingwen couldn’t stand it anymore, feeling that her classmates had changed so much that she barely recognized them.

“Jingwen, why are you so angry? Is there something between you and Lin Feng?”

The crowd found it amusing.

“Yeah, you mentioning it reminds me. Back in school, Lin Feng secretly liked Jingwen and wrote a lot of love letters to her. I accidentally saw one!”

A classmate suddenly recalled.

Feng Jingwen knew nothing about this. Hearing it now, she looked at Lin Feng with astonishment, her pretty face involuntarily flushing.

Lin Feng felt a bit awkward, but he wasn’t someone who would deny what he had done. He admitted it openly, “That’s right, there’s nothing wrong with liking someone. I did write them!”

“Lin Feng, you really have no shame! You liked her, but she might not have liked you!”

The crowd taunted him.

“Say whatever you want. I do what I like, and it doesn’t concern any of you. Watch your tone and speak with respect!”

A hint of coldness flashed in Lin Feng’s eyes. If it weren’t for the sake of their classmate relationship, he would have truly taught these guys a lesson.

Feng Jingwen remained silent, her face flushed. She felt a strange sensation, a mix of secret joy and uncertainty about how to face him.

In contrast, Pang Ye’s face turned ashen, his teeth grinding with frustration.

Seeing Feng Jingwen’s shy expression made him even more uncomfortable.

Could these two really have feelings for each other?

Just as Pang Ye was contemplating this, the private room door was pushed open, and a group of tattooed men walked in.

The leader was the scarred man whom Lin Feng had subdued, also known as Brother Dao.
