Chapter 244: 244: Decisive Break

Chapter 244: Chapter 244: Decisive Break

Wang Yan was observing Catwoman Xiaojie’s demon pattern closely, his eyes flickering, as if he had deciphered the mystery within Xiaojie’s demon pattern.

Suddenly, Wang Yan felt an intense aura of heartbreak and despair emanating from Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting on the other side of the corridor.

Wang Yan was stunned and quickly looked up, only to find that Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting were already gone.

“Xue’er? Feiting?”

Wang Yan immediately dropped Catwoman Xiaojie and dashed towards the other side of the corridor.

“Brother Wang Yan, I haven’t finished talking about the demon patterns yet. There are many mysteries in them; if we spar, you’ll understand.” With that, Catwoman Xiaojie leaped, blocking Wang Yan’s way.

Wang Yan urgently dodged to the side, trying to bypass Catwoman Xiaojie, while saying, “No need, I’ll spar with you when I get back.”

However, Catwoman Xiaojie immediately blocked Wang Yan again, chuckling, “We can do it now, why wait?”

Wang Yan charged to the other side again, saying, “We sparred last time, there’s no rush for now.”

Catwoman Xiaojie smiled, saying, “Last time I went easy on you because I was afraid of hurting you. But now you’re also a Demon Master, so we can spar properly.”

As they spoke, whichever direction Wang Yan turned, Catwoman Xiaojie was there to block him.

Looking at the speed, Catwoman Xiaojie was indeed faster than Wang Yan. No matter how Wang Yan tried to dodge left or right, he couldn’t get past Xiaojie’s blockade.

Wang Yan was anxious, feeling Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting were getting farther away. He urgently said, “Stop blocking me, or I’ll really use the power of demon patterns.”

Catwoman Xiaojie laughed, saying, “Sure, we are sparring, we should use the power of demon patterns. But even with it, you won’t get out of this corridor.”

Catwoman Xiaojie’s last words were the truth.

Even if Wang Yan used the power of demon patterns, getting past Xiaojie’s blockade wasn’t going to be swift.

Then, Wang Yan suddenly halted, his eyes fixed behind Catwoman Xiaojie, showing a fearful expression as he exclaimed, “Black Dragon.”

Catwoman Xiaojie was taken aback by Wang Yan’s exclamation, not understanding how Lord Black Dragon could appear here.

However, out of reverence for Black Dragon, Xiaojie quickly turned to look behind her.

But upon looking, she found there was no one behind her.

At this point, Xiaojie realized she had been tricked.

Immediately, Xiaojie rushed to turn back, raising her arms to stop Wang Yan.

However, as Xiaojie turned, she saw a shadow brushed past her, instantly darting out of the corridor, disappearing outside the school building.

And this shadow was precisely Wang Yan.

Watching Wang Yan escape using a trick, Catwoman Xiaojie chuckled to herself, saying, “This kid is really cunning, knowing to use Lord Black Dragon to scare me. But how did he know Lord Black Dragon’s name?”

While Xiaojie was pondering, Wang Yan had already dashed out of the school building.

But outside the building, Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting were nowhere to be seen.

Wang Yan urgently leaped, landing atop a nearby stone table.

With a touch of his toe, he soared to a treetop, and with another step, he flew to the campus’s towering tree, dozens of yards high.

Standing atop this tree, Wang Yan scanned his surroundings.

He saw that the campus was mostly deserted, except for two people rushing towards the parking lot.

Though they were far, Wang Yan could tell at a glance it was Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting.

Wang Yan stomped his foot, flew from the treetop, and swiftly leaped to the crown of another tree, tens of meters away.

He saw himself continuously flying in mid-air, stepping on treetops one after another, chasing Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting.

When Wang Yan caught up with them, Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting had already gotten into Beiming Xue’s Maserati, hit the gas, and the car sped out of the parking lot.

By this time, Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting’s eyes were blurred with tears, preventing them from seeing the road ahead.

Just then, a figure suddenly dropped from mid-air, blocking the Maserati’s path.

“Is it Brother Wang Yan?!” Driving, Beiming Xue exclaimed with joy and surprise.

Crying alongside, Ouyang Feiting retorted, “He’s not our Brother Wang Yan anymore, don’t stop the car.”

Though Beiming Xue didn’t stop, with Wang Yan’s sudden appearance, she hesitated, murmuring, “If we crash, won’t we hit Brother Wang Yan?!”

Ouyang Feiting shouted, “He doesn’t care about us; he won’t stand in front of the car for us. He’ll definitely jump away.”

Hearing this, recalling what she had seen earlier, Beiming Xue bit her lip lightly. Amid her indecision, the Maserati continued speeding toward Wang Yan, as she hadn’t released the gas pedal.

The Maserati drew closer to Wang Yan, yet he stood firmly there, motionless.

Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting furrowed their brows tightly, biting their teeth in pain, staring unblinkingly at Wang Yan through teary eyes.

He ignored the speeding Maserati, his deep gaze piercing through the car window at them, showing no intent to leave.

“Is he crazy? Why doesn’t he dodge? He should move away…” Ouyang Feiting murmured, watching Wang Yan stand unmoving like a sculpture.

As the Maserati nearly crashed into Wang Yan, Ouyang Feiting shrieked, tugging fiercely at Beiming Xue beside her, yelling, “Stop quickly!”

Even without Ouyang Feiting’s shout, Beiming Xue had already slammed the brakes.

The speeding Maserati screeched, tires squealing and rubber burning on the ground.

Finally, the Maserati skidded, stopping just in front of Wang Yan.

When the Maserati halted, its front was merely a centimeter from Wang Yan’s legs.

Seeing the Maserati finally stop, Wang Yan breathed a sigh of relief.

He was not worried about being hit by the car; even if the Maserati collided, he wouldn’t be hurt.

Wang Yan was concerned about Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting.

He sensed a decisive aura from them, fearing if they left, he’d never find the two who cared so much for him again.

Seeing they’d almost hit Wang Yan, Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting jumped out of the car, especially upon realizing the car’s front was only a centimeter from Wang Yan, they burst into tears.

“Waa—Brother Wang Yan, you have no sense!”

“Brother Wang Yan, are you trying to scare me to death?”

Tearfully, they rushed into Wang Yan’s embrace, one on each side, hugging him tightly.

Feeling the decisiveness from Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting in his arms gradually dissipate, replaced by warm care for him, Wang Yan felt relieved.

Although he still hadn’t figured out their earlier dispute, as long as they returned to normal, it was alright.

Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting cried a while, then lifted their heads and looked at Wang Yan.

“Brother Wang Yan, I thought you didn’t want us anymore?” Beiming Xue said, still aggrieved.

“Not want you two, why wouldn’t I want you two?” Wang Yan asked puzzled.

“Don’t you like Catwoman Xiaojie? Do you find her waist attractive?” Ouyang Feiting jealously asked.

Talking about Xiaojie’s waist, Wang Yan thought Ouyang Feiting referred to Xiaojie’s demon pattern on her waist, so without thinking, he said, “It looks nice and quite mysterious.”

However, as soon as Wang Yan said this, he saw the decisive aura reemerge from Beiming Xue and Ouyang Feiting’s bodies.
