Seeing they were truly drunk, Ye Tian called a designated driver and first sent Ding Wenbin and his girlfriend away.
Afterward, he took Zhang Jiliang back to the hotel. By the time he finished, it was already eleven o'clock. Jin Duoduo smiled and said, "Ye Tian, I'm suddenly hungry. Want to get some late-night snacks?"
Ye Tian was actually hungry too. When people drink, they tend to eat less, making them feel hungrier afterward.
He smiled, "Sure, you pick the place."
Jin Duoduo led Ye Tian to a noodle shop and ordered two bowls of scallion oil noodles. The taste was indeed good.
A bowl of noodles wasn't much, and they finished quickly. Just as Ye Tian paid and was about to leave, a few men with bags tucked under their arms entered the doorway, each exuding a sinister aura from the streets.
One of them bumped directly into Ye Tian and Jin Duoduo. As they looked up, both Ye Tian and the other man froze.
This man was in his early twenties, with a scar on his left face that ran through his eyebrow, making him look ferocious. Yet, even so, Ye Tian recognized him. It was Chen Guangda, the one who had tried to force himself on Jin Duoduo back then and had been beaten soundly by Ye Tian.
Chen Guangda froze for two seconds and blurted out, "Ye Tian, Jin Duoduo!"
Ye Tian raised an eyebrow, "Chen Guangda!"
Chen Guangda chuckled, "It's rare you still remember me. Old classmate, long time no see!" As he spoke, he extended his hand.
Ye Tian had always looked down on Chen Guangda. He said indifferently, "No need to be so familiar. I can tell you're still holding a grudge."
Chen Guangda withdrew his hand and said with a fake smile, "Oh, isn't this the class beauty? You two really are a thing, aren't you? You're together now, right?"
Ye Tian replied, "Does it have anything to do with you?"
Chen Guangda laughed, "Aren't we old classmates? I'm concerned about you." Saying this, he raised his hand to pat Ye Tian's shoulder.
Ye Tian flicked his hand, and Chen Guangda staggered back three steps. He looked slightly surprised and said, "After a few years, you're still this strong. As expected, you've been training."
Ye Tian said, "Chen Guangda, if you have nothing else, we'll never meet again."
Chen Guangda reached out to block Ye Tian, his expression turning cold. "Ye Tian, you ruined my plans back then. Today, I'm going to settle the score with you."
Ye Tian said indifferently, "You want to settle the score? Fine, but this is a place to eat. Let's take it outside."
"Good!" Chen Guangda sneered. After a few years of making a name for himself in the provincial capital, he now had people following him, over a dozen brothers. Thus, he didn't take Ye Tian seriously.
Ye Tian pulled Jin Duoduo and led her to an alley opposite the restaurant. He asked, "Chen Guangda, how do you want to settle this?"
Chen Guangda's gaze swept over Jin Duoduo, and he chuckled, "I didn't succeed last time. Today, I'm going to have my way with Jin Duoduo right in front of you. I want to see if you can save her this time!"
Jin Duoduo angrily exclaimed, "Chen Guangda, you're truly shameless!"
Chen Guangda let out a strange laugh, "Jin Duoduo, we should have consummated our affair back then, but this kid ruined it. Today, we'll fulfill our old dream, haha..."
"Slap!"
Chen Guangda's laugh was cut short halfway when Ye Tian slapped him to the ground. The other men immediately cried out to help, but suddenly they felt the world spin and all fell to the ground.
Ye Tian pinned Chen Guangda to the ground and began to beat him mercilessly, focusing on the painful spots. Chen Guangda endured for a few seconds before letting out miserable screams, "Stop hitting me, Ye Tian! I was wrong, ow..."
After a few minutes of beating, Ye Tian tidied his hair and said, "Chen Guangda, you're still such a loser. With your meager abilities, how did you manage to become a bad guy?"
Chen Guangda, now a bruised mess, lowered his head in silence.
Ye Tian said coldly, "Next time you see me, you'd better stay far away, or I'll beat you every time I see you!"
After teaching Chen Guangda a lesson, he pulled Jin Duoduo and left the scene. After walking for a while, Jin Duoduo suddenly pursed her lips and started to smile.
Ye Tian couldn't help but laugh either, "Chen Guangda really doesn't learn his lesson."
Jin Duoduo said, "Back then, he was so arrogant and overbearing on campus. After you beat him up, he immediately became much more low-key. How could he not resent you?"
Ye Tian replied, "Let's not talk about him. Duoduo, is your bank job going well?"
Jin Duoduo said, "I plan to resign by the end of the year."
Ye Tian asked, "Oh, why?"
Jin Duoduo stated calmly, "My parents have found me a job in the county town and want me to go back."
Ye Tian asked, "What are your thoughts on that?"
Jin Duoduo smiled slightly, "Last week, I passed the actuary qualification exam, so I'm thinking of working at an accounting firm."
