Ye Tian: "Was it caused by Tang Zhen?"
Tang Ran then recounted the events of that year in detail. When Tang Qiqi was young, her brother Tang Zhen took her to play by the river. Tang Qiqi accidentally fell into the water and was swept down a cliff by the strong current.
Tang Qiqi was severely injured and could never stand up again, remaining in a wheelchair. Tang Zhen consulted numerous renowned physicians, but none could cure Tang Qiqi.
Because of this, Tang Zhen felt immense guilt and always wanted to make amends. Tang Qiqi did not blame Tang Zhen, and their sibling relationship became even closer than before.
Ye Tian: "So, Tang Qiqi's condition might not be a physical injury."
Tang Ran: "Tang Qiqi was unconscious for a period during the fall and lost some memories. We all suspect she must have experienced something. After all, when Tang Zhen found her, more than a day had passed since she fell off the cliff."
Ye Tian nodded: "There must be another problem."
In less than fifteen minutes, Tang Zhen returned to the Wan Yan Lou. He said, "Mr. Ye, my sister is willing to accept treatment!"
Ye Tian: "Brother Tang Zhen, please join us for a meal. After we eat, we'll go see your sister."
Tang Zhen nodded in agreement, but he had no appetite for food. Instead, he kept drinking cup after cup, his gaze constantly drifting outside.
Ye Tian paid him no mind. He drank some wine with the others and sampled several local specialty dishes. The meal lasted an hour and a half, and he thoroughly enjoyed it, saying with a smile, "Wan Yan Lou lives up to its reputation."
Then he said to Tang Zhen, "Brother Tang Zhen, let's go to your home."
Tang Zhen immediately stood up and led the way quickly.
The group walked for about ten minutes, arriving at an ancient courtyard. The courtyard was five sections deep. After passing the front courtyard, they reached the central courtyard. Many flowers and plants were grown in the central courtyard. A gentle, spirited, and beautiful girl, about fifteen or sixteen years old, sat in a wheelchair watering the flowers in a pot.
Hearing the commotion, she turned around, smiled playfully, and said, "Brother, which one is the divine physician Ye?"
Tang Zhen quickly replied, "This is him. Qiqi, Divine Physician Ye's medical skills are extraordinary. He might be able to cure you."
Tang Qiqi had heard similar words countless times, but she still showed a happy expression: "Really? Then this humble woman thanks Divine Physician Ye."
Seeing this girl, Ye Tian was infected by her optimistic, upward, and innocent nature. He smiled and said, "Hello, Qiqi. My name is Ye Tian. I know a little about medicine. I'd like to ask you a few questions first."
Tang Qiqi nodded: "Yes, please ask, sir."
Ye Tian: "I'm not much older than you. You can call me Brother Ye."
Tang Qiqi smiled sweetly: "Okay, Brother Ye!"
Ye Tian's expression turned serious. He walked up to Tang Qiqi and reached out to take her pulse. After a few minutes, he asked, "After you fell, do you not remember what happened before Tang Zhen rescued you?"
Tang Qiqi shook her head: "I don't remember. My mind is a blank."
Ye Tian: "You don't just not remember; that period of memory has been sealed by a strange power. Now, I can help you unlock this memory. Are you willing?"
Tang Qiqi hesitated for almost no time and nodded: "I am willing. I've always wanted to know what happened then. Please help me, Mr. Ye."
Ye Tian nodded, reached out, and touched Tang Qiqi's forehead. His Nascent Soul vibrated, and a trace of wondrous spiritual power penetrated her brain, dispersing that inexplicable force.
Instantly, her sealed memories surged forth like a tide.
Tang Qiqi's expression shifted from surprise to shock, and finally to a calm and peaceful state. After a few minutes, she smiled slightly: "Brother Ye, I remember everything now."
Ye Tian: "Can you tell me?"
Tang Qiqi nodded gently: "But I can only tell you, Brother Ye."
Tang Zhen immediately said, "Good. We'll all go out, and you can tell Mr. Ye alone."
After everyone had withdrawn, Tang Qiqi suddenly asked, "Brother Ye, do you think there are spirits and monsters in this world?"
Ye Tian said without hesitation, "Of course, there are. Did you see a spirit or monster?"
Tang Qiqi nodded: "I entered a water manor. A large fish saved me and said that when I come of age, it would marry me."
