"There's no need, just give me an address." Ye Tian said.
Gong Tianli no longer doubted him. After a few words, he could feel Ye Tian's demeanor and immediately gave him the address.
After hanging up, Ye Tian instructed the driver to head towards Gong Tianli's location, an old courtyard in the countryside. The courtyard was small, situated in a mountain village, and looked much like it did decades ago. Gong Tianli had grown up in this courtyard. Later, when his mother fell gravely ill, he felt it was unlikely she would recover, so he brought her back to their ancestral home.
Outside the small courtyard, however, the scene was entirely different. Wide roads led to rows of mountain villas, with one or two luxury cars parked in front of each house.
After Gong Tianli became famous, he brought prosperity to the entire village, making this small mountain village one of the wealthiest in Ba Province.
Ye Tian's car drove into the mountain village. Upon entering, he saw rows of garden villas, making it seem like a wealthy district to an outsider. Amidst these villas stood a very old courtyard, with a large pine tree at its entrance, its canopy shading half of the courtyard.
Beneath the pine tree stood a tall, middle-aged man, accompanied by several attendants.
The car stopped, and Ye Tian and his companions alighted. Zhang Longsheng, the King of the Southwest, had parked his car further away and did not drive up. With one King of the Southwest and one King of Bazhong present, he did not wish to encounter the latter.
Gong Tianli strode forward, cupped his hands, and bowed deeply, "Divine Doctor Ye! Thank you for traveling so far!"
Ye Tian nodded slightly and replied, "I have long heard of the King of Banan's reputation. It is an honor to meet you."
After a few pleasantries, Gong Tianli glanced at Zhang Longsheng's car in the distance. "Are those Ye Divine Doctor's friends?"
Ye Tian said, "We are traveling together. After examining your mother, I will leave with him."
Gong Tianli smiled, "Since the King of the Southwest has come to Banan, I must offer my hospitality."
Zhang Longsheng, with his sharp ears, recognized the name as it was spoken. He then gracefully stepped out of his car and said with a smile, "Brother Xi, I apologize for intruding uninvited, and did not wish to disturb you. I didn't expect to be recognized by Brother Xi so quickly."
Gong Tianli chuckled, "I recognize the King of the Southwest's vehicle, especially since your license plate number is so unique."
Zhang Longsheng's license plate was five ones, and as he resided in the country as a citizen of Myanmar, his license plate was black.
"Haha, it seems Brother Xi knows my situation in great detail."
Gong Tianli asked, "Brother Zhang is traveling with Divine Doctor Ye. Did Brother Zhang also inform Ye Divine Doctor about my situation?"
Zhang Longsheng did not deny it and replied with a smile, "Brother Xi is a filial son, and Divine Doctor Ye highly respects such people. Upon hearing that your mother was ill, he disregarded medical taboos and came to examine the elderly lady."
Gong Tianli was deeply moved and bowed to Ye Tian again, "Divine Doctor Ye, your great kindness is beyond words!"
Ye Tian said, "Mr. Xi, let us first go and see your mother's condition."
"Please, come in!"
Ye Tian entered the main hall and turned left, entering a bedroom. Inside, an elderly woman lay in bed. She was over eighty years old, with a sallow complexion, and was in a semi-conscious state.
Gong Tianli said, "My mother has been gravely ill for over half a year, and her condition worsens daily. I have consulted many renowned physicians and used numerous remedies, but the results have not been good."
Ye Tian stepped forward to examine her and found that the old lady had endured many hardships in her youth. Now in her eighties, she was at the end of her life, her vital flame about to extinguish.
He sighed softly and said, "It appears the old madam suffered greatly in the past, with many hidden injuries and old ailments."
Hearing Ye Tian's words, Gong Tianli's eyes welled up with tears. He said, "In my childhood, our family was poor, and my father passed away early. My mother, with her frail shoulders, raised us three siblings. She would set up a stall in town to sell breakfast at three in the morning, return home at noon to tend the fields, and go up the mountain in the evening to gather mushrooms to sell. She slept less than three hours a day. Only when I grew up and could earn a living to support the family did she stop working so hard."
Ye Tian commented, "It was precisely that period of relentless effort that consumed her vital energy prematurely."
Gong Tianli asked, "Sir, can you cure her?"
Ye Tian was silent for a few seconds and then replied, "Yes."
He took out a small bottle, opened it, and poured out a pill, saying, "This pill can restore the old madam's vitality."
"A pill!" Gong Tianli's body trembled.
