Chapter 789 The Giant Club

"Alright," Ye Tian thought for a moment.

Wu Zongnian was delighted. "Good! The day after tomorrow, these people will gather in Zhonghai. It will be a bit of work for you, brother."

"I made several hundred billion dollars from this boxing match. For now, I'll leave it with you to manage for me."

"No problem. By the way, we are preparing to form a Giants Club. The entry threshold is fifty billion dollars. I suggest you join."

Ye Tian's interest was piqued. "What can this Giants Club bring me?"

"Members can be individuals or consortiums, but it must be in cash. We expect over thirty members, with a total of over 1.5 trillion dollars. With such a large sum, we can accomplish many things."

"Like what?"

Wu Zongnian smiled. "For example, starting a war in Eastern Europe, causing natural gas and coal prices to soar. We can then buy futures and stocks at low prices. In about three to four months, our principal could double."

Ye Tian was surprised. "You can cause a war in Eastern Europe?"

"We aren't causing the war, but we have enough money to offer substantial benefits and obtain the most confidential intelligence. We've already spent a billion dollars on the intelligence department of a certain country in Eastern Europe alone."

Ye Tian thought for a moment. He had earned quite a lot from this boxing match, over eighty billion dollars in total. He said, "I'll give you eighty billion dollars." After giving that amount, he still had nearly sixty billion left, which was enough for his expenses in China.

Wu Zongnian chuckled. "You made over eighty billion from one boxing match. I'm tempted to change careers."

"Opportunities like this only come once; they can't last."

After hanging up, Lin Ziyi asked, "Tian Ge, is there a risk in investing so much money?"

Ye Tian smiled. "How could there be no risk? The greater the return, the greater the risk. But I trust Old Wu; he's a top expert in the financial world."

Lin Ziyi sighed. "It's still more profitable to do finance. Even after ten years of selling medicine like us, it doesn't compare to the profit someone makes in a month of trading."

"Leave the professional matters to the professionals," Ye Tian said.

After dinner, Ye Tian and Lin Ziyi returned to their room to rest. He didn't cultivate that night, choosing instead to spend time with Lin Ziyi.

The next day, Lin Ziyi, as the president, slept in. Ye Tian had been quite energetic the night before, and she was a bit exhausted, so she decided to sleep late.

Ye Tian, however, couldn't afford to be lazy. He went to the research building early in the morning.

The Xiaokang Oral Solution had been developed and was currently undergoing clinical trials, still some time away from its final launch.

Ye Tian's purpose today was to create a health supplement for Taichuan Pharmaceutical, focusing on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

Zhu Hongyan was already at work and was in a meeting. When Ye Tian arrived, the meeting was halfway through.

Seeing her boss arrive, Zhu Hongyan smiled. "Boss, today is the weekly meeting. Why don't you say a few words?"

Ye Tian smiled. "I won't speak. Please continue."

The attendees were all master's and doctoral degree holders in medicine. They had either graduated from top medical schools at home and abroad or possessed extensive research and development experience. Among them were several senior researchers from international pharmaceutical giants, who were world-class drug experts.

Ye Tian heard Zhu Hongyan set a goal for today: to develop a targeted cancer cell drug within one to two years. The reason for developing such a drug was that there were four experts in this field present, possessing rich experience.

One of the leaders, a balding man in his fifties, presented a paper for discussion. The paper was by a foreign scholar who claimed to have discovered a target on cancer cells. It was described as a sort of switch for cancer cells; under specific conditions, when the target was affected, the division of cancer cells would halt.

This was clearly a significant, even groundbreaking, discovery. However, it was merely the beginning. It would likely take immense human and material resources for humanity to understand its mechanism and then find suitable targeted drugs.

As everyone was discussing, Ye Tian suddenly said, "I recently obtained an ancient prescription that is used to treat cancer. After hearing the introduction to this paper, I feel there are commonalities between the two."
