Chapter 287: Chapter 155: He Said: As Long as He’s by Her Side (1)
Rebecca Quentin seemed quite satisfied with Howard Geoffrey’s answer and fell quiet.
Howard Geoffrey kissed Rebecca Quentin’s cherry red lips and asked, "Is there anything else, little jealous one?"
Rebecca Quentin bashfully gave Howard Geoffrey’s broad chest a gentle punch, "There’s much more. I’ll slowly interrogate you in the future."
Upon hearing her mention "the future," Howard Geoffrey suddenly gazed at her fixedly.
"Becca, shall we go register?" He wanted to set a permanent term for this "future."
Rebecca Quentin also deeply gazed at Howard Geoffrey, still unable to believe it.
They looked at each other as if the whole world had become just the two of them, with love written all over each other’s face.
Just as she was about to answer at this crucial moment, a bodyguard ran over, stammering behind Howard Geoffrey, "Mr. Geoffrey, the child woke up...he’s crying now, and we can’t manage."
To have these tall and burly bodyguards take care of Andrew naturally left them helpless.
The situation was disrupted, and Howard Geoffrey’s face turned livid.
Rebecca Quentin, however, had a smile on her face, "I’m going to check on Andrew!" She said, and shyly ran off.
Howard Geoffrey turned around, angrily scolding the bodyguard behind him who didn’t dare to raise his head, "So many people, and you can’t even calm a child down?"
The bodyguards groaned inwardly...
Boss, it’s not fair, we’ve never taken care of a child!
Rebecca Quentin entered the cabin, and after checking that the child wasn’t wetting himself, she picked up Andrew from the small bed on the plane, who was now crying with a flushed face.
She rocked him gently, soothing him, "Baby, be good, don’t cry..."
As soon as Andrew was back in Rebecca Quentin’s arms, his little mouth immediately puckered up and he even started to smile.
The few bodyguards in the cabin who were frightened with cold sweat emerging finally relaxed and wiped the sweat off their foreheads.
"Mr. Geoffrey!!"
Seeing Howard Geoffrey enter the cabin, the bodyguards who had just caught their breath immediately tensed up, respectfully calling out in unison.
Howard Geoffrey waved his hand to signal.
They then quickly left the cabin, disappearing instantly.
And so, the spacious cabin at this moment had only Howard Geoffrey and Rebecca Quentin left.
Howard Geoffrey frowned as he watched the little one lying tranquilly in Rebecca Quentin’s arms and asked, "Crying so fiercely just now, why isn’t he crying now?"
"Maybe he wasn’t used to suddenly facing so many strangers. Now that he sees me, he feels safe again," Rebecca Quentin earnestly explained.
Howard Geoffrey’s gaze fell on the child’s innocent eyes, secretly grumbling.
Can he say he wants to give this little guy a good "lesson"?
The monitor he painstakingly installed in that bear was broken by this little fellow, causing him to be scolded by the child’s mother...
Yesterday he tugged at him, twisted him, even wet him, completely disregarding him as a father to be adored.
The most crucial thing is, every time he’s close to the child’s mother, this little guy would create disturbances...already has ruined many of his good moments.
"Giggling, giggling..."
Rebecca Quentin turned to look at Howard Geoffrey beside her, "Look, as soon as your son sees you he smiles!"
"Is that so?" Can he say that’s just a facade?
"You hold him, I think he might be hungry, I’ll go make some milk."
Howard Geoffrey took the child, and after Rebecca Quentin went to make milk, Howard Geoffrey, like a child, spoke naively to his son, "Little rascal, why aren’t you crying now? As soon as daddy gets close to mommy, you come to make trouble. Why are you so naughty..."
"What naughty?" Rebecca Quentin came back after making milk, and hearing Howard Geoffrey talking, asked in confusion.
"Nothing. You made it so quickly?"
Rebecca Quentin said with a smile, "Making milk is supposed to be quick!"
This remark inadvertently reminded Howard Geoffrey of yesterday.
He remembered she didn’t make milk so quickly last night...
Seems like she was watching the child wet him on purpose, this little woman, he’ll find time to settle this account with her!
Rebecca Quentin took Andrew from Howard Geoffrey’s arms, then sat in a chair to feed the child.
While the child was feeding, Rebecca Quentin curiously asked Howard Geoffrey, "You had the driver bring me to the private airport, are you planning to personally send me back to Orton?"
"Of course..."
Upon hearing Howard Geoffrey’s two-word answer, Rebecca Quentin pouted, "You can take off now!"
Seeing Rebecca Quentin’s disappointed look, Howard Geoffrey sat down beside her, wrapped his arm around her shoulder, "I mean—of course, not. The place I’m taking you, you’ll definitely like."
Rebecca Quentin whispered softly, "How do you know I’ll definitely like it?"
"Foam Island."
Rebecca Quentin’s eyes widened in surprise, "You said we’re going to the island?"
Howard Geoffrey asked softly, "Do you like it?"
Rebecca Quentin nodded vigorously. The blue sky, green water, and white sand are all pleasant and peaceful, and there’s also the memory she keeps yearning for.
Howard Geoffrey slowly said, "But, before taking you to Foam Island, we still have an important task to accomplish!"
"What task?"
"What I just mentioned."
"Registration?"
"I can’t let you slip away from me, so I must get this done as quickly as possible."
Rebecca Quentin had a shy smile, "Okay, I can go register with you, but I get to choose the registration place."
Howard Geoffrey dotingly said, "You say, I’ll fulfill anything for you."
Rebecca Quentin raised her head, "I want to register in Ireland."
"Ireland?" Howard Geoffrey frowned in confusion, "You like this place?"
Rebecca Quentin shook her head, "I only like their marriage laws."
Howard Geoffrey asked curiously, "What marriage laws?"
Rebecca Quentin envisioned, speaking word by word, "In Ireland, they believe in Catholicism, so it’s forbidden to divorce...I want to register with you in Ireland, and then sign a hundred-year marriage term, so I won’t have any concerns with you!"
As dawn breaks.
Rebecca Quentin slowly opened her long lashes.
Her body was nestled in a warm embrace, her head resting on his arm.
Her hands wrapped around him, the gesture so intimate...
Slightly raising her head, she gazed at his handsome face up close.
It’s really unbelievable, yesterday they were on the verge of becoming strangers, today, she was reconciled with him as if nothing happened...
Last night’s sleep was really comfortable...
Holding him like this without any reserve, in all the years of knowing him, it’s really rare...
With deep affection, her gaze lingered on his handsome face, she slightly rose and gently kissed his lips.
