Chapter 41 Mech Knight Liu Feng!

Liu Feng transformed into a nimble mecha, and propelled by his exoskeleton armor, the tip of his gun plunged directly into the head of the hovercar, disabling an engine. The vehicle began to shake erratically.

As the two robbers scrambled to deal with the malfunction, Liu Feng slowly stood up on the car's hood, opened his exoskeleton faceplate, and flashed what he considered his most charming smile at Fu Yafang inside.

"Mecha Knight Liu Feng! Eradicating all evil!" Liu Feng shouted.

"Liu Feng?" Fu Yafang's eyes widened in disbelief. What was he doing? How had he flown onto the car?

The two robbers were stunned by Liu Feng. In their haste, they slammed the control levers. The hovercar lurched violently, and Liu Feng, losing his balance, cried out and tumbled down.

"Where did he go?" one of them frantically peered over the edge to look.

Suddenly, Liu Feng flew back up, his spear aimed at the remaining engine, stabbing it several times. He then shattered the hovercar's windshield, pulled open the door, and scooped Fu Yafang into his arms.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here to save you!" Liu Feng grinned, revealing his pearly white teeth, and holding her, he flew back to the ground.

The hovercar, belching smoke, spiraled downwards before crashing to the ground with a deafening boom.

Just then, three hovercars streaked across the sky, encircling them.

A dozen heavily armed men jumped from the hovercars. Upon landing, they quickly took away Fu Yafang and the two robbers.

Only Gu Ya and Liu Feng were left standing there, dumbfounded.

"And... they just left?" Liu Feng asked slowly, gazing at the departing hovercars.

Gu Ya, however, chuckled and said, "There's always someone better, Liu Feng. Fu Yafang didn't need your rescue at all."

"Huh? I even had my heroic rescue speech ready!" Liu Feng realized belatedly.

Gu Ya laughed even harder. "You're so chuunibyou! Hahahaha!"

"What's chuunibyou? And where did this armor come from?"

"Hurry and take it off and give it back to me!"

"Let me borrow it for a couple of days."

...

Inside a secret building in Wuhe City.

Fu Yafang, clutching an ice pack to her face, stood in the observation room, watching the interrogation of the two robbers.

The middle-aged woman beside her said, "They walked right into our trap. Hao Yong and another operative, apprehended together."

"Master, am I still going back to school?" Fu Yafang asked.

The woman smiled. "Yes, the mission continues. The organization has assigned you a partner to protect your safety." 138 Reading Net.

"Understood," Fu Yafang nodded.

That evening, upon returning home, Fu Yafang's worried heart finally settled.

The memory of being "rescued" today made her both angry and amused.

That Liu Feng acted like a heroic savior, even spouting such awkward lines.

Coincidentally, Liu Feng sent her a message, a simple one: "Got home safely?"

Fu Yafang smiled wryly, sighed, and then a touch of warmth unexpectedly bloomed in her heart, especially when she recalled Liu Feng's infectious, hearty laughter.

"He's quite handsome, actually."

...

The next morning, Gu Ya arrived at school as usual.

As soon as he entered the classroom, he saw Xu Jie standing beside Fu Yafang, talking incessantly.

Seeing Fu Yafang's extreme displeasure, yet trying her best to maintain a smile, Gu Ya felt embarrassed for Xu Jie.

"Xu Jie!" Gu Ya called out.

Startled by the sudden shout, Xu Jie glared at Gu Ya resentfully. "What?"

"The teacher is looking for you," Gu Ya lied casually, extricating Fu Yafang from the situation.

Throughout the day, students were still worried about Yang Xinzhao's suicide.

Class D had moved to a new classroom, and three girls transferred into Class D.

Fortunately, the homeroom teachers and the school administration worked diligently to counsel the students psychologically, preventing any greater trauma.

However, those who had seen Yang Xinzhao were not so fortunate. For example, Hei Ye looked gloomy and dispirited all day.

Just as afternoon classes began, the homeroom teacher hurried in, followed by a boy.

"Huh? Another transfer student?" The students were now numb to the news.

There had been transfers and even deaths these past two days, making it difficult for the students to focus on their studies.

"Hello everyone, my name is Huang Yaohui." Huang Yaohui's voice was magnetic, and combined with his 185cm slender height and handsome face, the girls' eyes seemed ready to shoot lasers.

The boys, on the other hand, collectively felt threatened.

The homeroom teacher smiled. "There's an empty seat behind Fu Yafang. You can sit there."

Huang Yaohui nodded and smiled at the homeroom teacher, then strolled to his seat.

Huang Yaohui's arrival was like a shot of adrenaline, invigorating the entire class.

Furthermore, with the memorial day approaching, and the crucial formal mecha pilot assessment following it, the Yang Xinzhao incident was almost forgotten within a day.

Everyone was itching to pass the formal mecha pilot assessment.

Gu Ya was also worried about his upcoming promotion. Wu Chuyang mentioned that with Gu Ya's current strength, it was uncertain whether he could become a formal mecha pilot.

The formal mecha pilot assessment tested not only operation but also perception.

Perception was an innate ability that everyone possessed, with varying degrees. Those with stronger perception were more suited to piloting mechas.

Even if one failed in their professional or practical courses, they would be prioritized for selection as a mecha pilot if they passed the perception test.

As Gu Ya was brooding, Liu Feng rushed in and quietly sat beside him.

Gu Ya was startled. "What are you doing here? It's class time!" he whispered.

Liu Feng leaned on Gu Ya's shoulder, looking towards Fu Yafang, and whispered, "I heard you have a handsome transfer student in your class, sitting right behind Fu Yafang! Isn't that like throwing a lamb to the wolves! Yafang, when will I be able to win you over..."

Xu Jie, sitting behind them, sneered contemptuously, "You look like a loser, and you still dream of chasing Fu Yafang."

Liu Feng completely ignored Xu Jie, patted Gu Ya's shoulder, and said, "Wait for me after school."

Finally, the school day ended, and Liu Feng became dejected again.

Fu Yafang and Huang Yaohui walked out of the school, chatting and laughing. They looked like a perfect match, and it seemed they had known each other for a long time.

Gu Ya felt sorry for Liu Feng. Ah, men in love are truly beyond help. He needed to find a way to advise Liu Feng.

Gu Ya said, "I overheard Fu Yafang saying today that she hopes her boyfriend is a formal mecha pilot."

"Really!?" Liu Feng's eyes lit up as if he had been resurrected, and he grabbed Gu Ya's hand.

Gu Ya nodded earnestly.

"That's great!" Liu Feng's face brightened again. "Starting tonight, I'm running 10 kilometers and doing five hours of mental simulation training!"

Liu Feng was truly simple.

...

Fu Yafang and Huang Yaohui quickly got into the hovercar parked in a small alley.

The middle-aged woman in the passenger seat looked at the two of them, unable to hide her smile, and asked, "Xiao Huang, is your first day as a transfer student exciting?"

"It's okay, team leader," Huang Yaohui said, shyly scratching his head. "Many girls were chasing me for my contact number; it was quite unexpected."

The middle-aged woman smiled without saying anything.

Fu Yafang quickly asked, "Master, what's the progress on Hao Yong's interrogation?"

"He's a mid-level cadre in this team, but he only knows his superior is called 'Blue Ear,' and nothing else."

"The lead is broken," Fu Yafang said dejectedly.

"Blue Ear, hmm..." Huang Yaohui softly mused, "Could it be a blue bionic ear?"

"There's a possibility," the middle-aged woman replied.

Fu Yafang and Huang Yaohui exchanged glances. Fu Yafang said, "Starting tomorrow, we'll collect information on students with blue bionic ears."

Huang Yaohui nodded in agreement.

...

At night, as Xu Jie walked into the yard in front of his three-story villa, he saw a dirty puppy lying in the grass.

Without hesitation, Xu Jie kicked it out of the yard.

"Get lost, you mongrel, just like Gu Ya!"

Ever since Gu Ya secured first place individually in the arena, Xu Jie had harbored deep resentment towards him.

His parents were often away on business, and ever since Xu Jie could remember, he had never felt any love from them.

This gradually led to a twisted psychology in Xu Jie.

"Young Master, you're back," the maid forced a smile as she greeted him.

Besides Xu Jie, this thirty-year-old maid was the only one who cleaned the house and took care of Xu Jie.

Xu Jie threw his schoolbag aside and slumped onto the sofa. The maid knelt to help him remove his slippers and socks. "Dinner is ready, and your bathwater is prepared."

"Get lost," Xu Jie said irritably.

"Something's come up at home tonight. Could you..." the maid pleaded softly.

"Wash your dirty, cheap body and go home to your husband. Don't get in my way!"

The maid nodded meekly and left.

Xu Jie was once again alone in the large, luxurious house.

Recently, not only had his studies hit a snag, but his romantic life was also in disarray.

Fu Yafang, the new transfer student, was quite attractive. However, no matter how Xu Jie pursued her, she remained completely unmoved.

Filled with resentment, Xu Jie stood up and roared into the vast house, but no one answered.

"What I can't have, no one else will!"
