"What are they doing?"
On the wide square before them, tens of thousands of lights gathered, a dazzling expanse of golden yellow that made Gu Ya squint.
Thousands of people surrounded the museum, completely blocking it, all facing the museum, kneeling in worship.
"Let's go!" Shen Jingming nudged Gu Ya's arm.
The group hurriedly slipped through the museum's main entrance.
"What's going on?" Gu Ya asked.
"Don't know, everyone suddenly started converging here," Shen Jingming replied.
The group ran through the museum hall, broke a window, Gu Ya summoned the Star Sinking Machine, and they took off.
When the four looked back, they saw a mecha head, taller than the sky, suspended above the mountaintop where the museum was located.
That mechanical head was far larger than the mountain below, like a basketball hovering over a tennis ball.
Illuminated by countless holographic lights, its armored exterior was rust-stained and tattered.
Innumerable thick cables hung down from the severed neck, appearing like fine strands of hair compared to the skull.
Lai Jingjun's behemoth mecha seemed tiny before this head.
Below the neck, another half-section of mechanical cervical vertebra, wider than the mountain, dangled over the bald peak.
The smoothed-over marks on the bald peak suggested that this mechanical neck had frequently grazed the summit.
What is that? Gu Ya thought in astonishment. In his memory, no mecha had ever been this large.
"No, there was!" Gu Ya suddenly remembered something.
In the third illusion, the mechanical Gu Ya had displayed its mecha vault.
Among the vast army of mechs, there was indeed a similarly colossal mecha, standing towards the back of the formation.
"It's an ancient weapon," Shen Jingming stated out of the blue.
Shu Feizhang, speaking rarely, said, "I remember. I saw it once when I was young."
Shen Jingming explained, "According to records, there's a 58% chance it will fly to the Bai Di Yun Sheng nation at this time of year, for reasons unknown."
Gu Ya nodded excitedly and quickly operated his mecha.
Shu Feizhang grabbed Gu Ya's shoulder and said angrily, "Hey! Don't cause trouble! The mission is important!"
Gu Ya had already piloted his mecha close to the giant head. The closer he got, the more suffocatingly immense it felt.
Flying past a bolt larger than the Star Sinking Machine, following the dense seams on its hull upwards, they soon reached the top of the massive head.
"You all wait here."
After saying that, Gu Ya summoned his full exoskeleton armor and flew out of the cockpit.
His feet landed on the ancient weapon's armor, and Gu Ya felt a solid thickness beneath his feet, hard and heavy.
The metal surface of the head stretched as far as the eye could see, with countless giant bolts embedded in the armor, like small hills.
"Hei Yang, any news?" Gu Ya asked.
Hei Yang materialized, sat on Gu Ya's shoulder, and said, "Master, there are records."
"This is a creation of the previous Mech God's遗瓮 holder. Used to propel natural satellites and destroy comets."
"At that time, he created a total of ten super-gigantic interstellar mechas. This is the seventh one. It exploded prematurely for unknown reasons, and its head fell into the cosmic sea of garbage."
Gu Ya was somewhat surprised. "What powers this behemoth? Why did it appear in the Bai Di Yun Sheng nation?"
Hei Yang said, "It's ancient nuclear fusion power. Its reactor is still burning normally."
"According to the records, one of that young man's many girlfriends was from the ancient Bai Di Yun Sheng nation. It's likely visiting to commemorate that girlfriend."
Gu Ya stroked his chin and muttered, "Are these real records or did you make them up?"
"Master... I inferred this from the records."
"Bang!"
Gu Ya punched Hei Yang on the head, admonishing, "Don't speculate wildly!"
"Since it's a relic of the previous holder, it would be remiss of me not to take it," Gu Ya excitedly muttered to himself.
"But this thing is too large. Fully analyzing and storing it in the [Void Pack] will probably take weeks."
"Hei Yang, go alter its program. I need it to appear in Xian Xia when I require it."
Hei Yang remained uncharacteristically still, responding awkwardly, "Master, the record database of the Mech God's 遗瓮 does not contain the meanings for the relevant code words."
Gu Ya cursed, "Useless," squatted down, placed his hands on the armor, and activated [Code Modification]. He was startled instantly.
"Isn't this Chinese!"
Xian Xia characters resemble Chinese characters, but the expression and writing methods of the two are completely different.
Having not used Chinese since transmigrating, seeing it at first glance made Gu Ya feel incredibly warm!
"Master, which country's characters are Chinese?" Hei Yang asked, looking at the parsed screen with Gu Ya.
Gu Ya had no mood to pay attention to it now. His excitement was like a friend returning money after several years of absence!
However, when Gu Ya saw the meaning of the Chinese characters, his smile gradually froze.
One line of code read:
【Today, I'm asking Heaven, ah, you know, this moon in the sky, why is it so round, ah, guess what? Heaven told me: ...】
What did it say! Gu Ya impatiently scrolled to the next page.
【Get lost】
"Damn it!" Gu Ya stamped his foot in anger!
The next line of code:
【Today, I'm going to roll the moon, don't stop me, whoever stops me is...】
What is it!
【Hey, we're all eggs】
Gu Ya's face instantly darkened.
Scrolling further down, good heavens, the previous holder had written hundreds of thousands of lines of code, mostly similar jokes and catchphrases, with very little serious content.
Scrolling further, this guy actually started writing novels again, the content was simply unbearable to look at.
Gu Ya only glanced briefly before spotting the phrase "seventy-fifth wife."
"He even wrote this!" Gu Ya felt like crying without tears.
No wonder this guy used Chinese, which this world didn't recognize, to write code. If it got out, let alone his own reputation, even Xian Xia's reputation would be ruined.
"Master, these codes look so profound and high-class. I can't understand them at all," Hei Yang stared intently at the text, forming a character for "grass" with his small hand.
"What does this character 'grass' mean?"
Gu Ya suppressed his anger and said, "A type of plant."
Let's finish this quickly, Gu Ya thought helplessly. He used his own language to add a command to the underlying code, and the system immediately gave a prompt:
【Unrecognized, please use common languages】
"Common languages? Didn't I write in Chinese?" Gu Ya shouted irritably, then suddenly understood.
He had to write in the same tone as the previous holder for the system to recognize it!
Suppressing his discomfort, Gu Ya composed: 【Today, I need to use you, get over here quickly, otherwise...】
【I'll come over and find you】
“Similar tone detected. Added successfully. Have fun, my husband. Love, Xiao Qi, mwah~ mwah~ da~”
When the system uttered this sentence in its stiff, robotic voice, Gu Ya felt like he was about to turn into a mecha, goosebumps rippling like missiles.
"Master, was it successful?" Hei Yang asked.
"Buy me a coffin, I need to lie in it for a while to calm down. Ah, no!" Gu Ya stomped his foot hatefully.
These codes were simply toxic! They were starting to speak in his tone!
Having done this, Gu Ya quickly flew back to the Star Sinking Machine.
Shu Feizhang said with a dark expression, "We wasted an hour and three minutes."
The word "old man" was on the tip of Gu Ya's tongue, but he forced it down, took a breath, and said, "I understand."
As the Star Sinking Machine flew to the border of the Bai Di Yun Sheng nation, a resonant roar echoed from behind them.
The giant mecha head had already ascended into the sky, countless plumes of gas spewing from its severed neck, accelerating towards the heavens.
"Where is it going?" Shu Feizhang murmured.
Gu Ya said calmly, "Back to the cosmic sea of garbage."
If such a massive entity had been flying at low altitudes, it would have long since attracted the attention of various nations.
It belonged only to the universe.
As for why it flew to the Bai Di Yun Sheng nation, that would require sifting through millions of lines of code, searching for clues amidst the unbearable vulgarities.
This was more torturous than killing Gu Ya.
"No more delays, I can build the rest of the things," Gu Ya said calmly.
"Set off, target is the Far South!"
