Di Mingjue retook Ye Ziyu’s hand. “Is that so? It seems we’ll be seeing Mr. Gu’s happy occasion soon.”
As he spoke, the pad of his finger pressed against the back of Ye Ziyu’s hand. “Our children can be flower girls for Mr. Gu then. I wonder if Mr. Gu would find them bothersome?”
Flower girls?
Gu Xiuyu found it amusing. If his happy occasion were to arrive, it would mean he had successfully won Ye Ziyu back from Di Mingjue. And the child would no longer belong to Di Mingjue.
Di Mingjue raised an eyebrow and sighed. “It seems Mr. Gu has other thoughts. I was just making casual conversation; no need to take it seriously.”
Immediately after, he deliberately brought his mouth close to Ye Ziyu’s ear. His lips moved, and his expression shifted repeatedly.
Gu Xiuyu always felt that whatever Di Mingjue said was meant to belittle him. He anxiously observed Ye Ziyu’s expression.

Always referring to him as "Mr. Gu," Di Mingjue had been at the Ye family’s for such a long time, yet Ye Shaoting had never shown such obsequiousness to anyone.
Gu Xiuyu glanced at Ye Ziyu’s reaction and said with a touch of embarrassment, “Mr. Ye is too kind. I merely completed my studies in a muddle and happened to encounter opportunities upon returning to Sijiu City. However, if Ziyu has any questions, feel free to ask me anytime. I hope this collaboration can achieve a win-win situation with our joint efforts.”
Gu Corporation did have its merits, but Di Jue Group was no less impressive. If she truly had questions, why would she ask a temporary collaborator instead of her husband, who knew everything, and go to him eagerly?
Di Mingjue acted as if he had heard a colossal joke, chuckling and patting his chest to suppress his emotions. “Elder Brother and Mr. Gu are truly masters of polite conversation. All the time had been spent talking, and the mood had soured. They ate a little and left the dining room.
Di Mingjue gave Gu Xiuyu no opportunity to bid farewell to Ye Ziyu. With a perfunctory pleasantry to them, he immediately put his arm around Ye Ziyu’s waist and left the restaurant.
As they walked away, Gu Xiuyu’s gaze followed them.
