"What if I told you the stillborn child you gave birth to years ago is not dead?" Jiang Feifei said to Ye Ziyu with utmost seriousness.
Ye Ziyu froze for a few seconds before sneering, "Do you really expect me to believe such a lie?"
When all four children were born back then, the doctor had shown her the fourth child, who was pronounced dead. Was it possible for an unrelated doctor to lie to her?
"When your fourth child was removed from your womb, they were indeed stillborn. After the doctor declared the baby dead, they miraculously came back to life. Due to an oversight, the doctor did not inform you but concealed the truth of your child's survival, selling the fourth child to patients unable to conceive," Jiang Feifei explained.
Came back to life?
How was that possible? The doctor had personally confirmed the baby was stillborn and told her that due to her physical condition, the child had been dead in the womb for a long time.
Ye Ziyu looked at Jiang Feifei, her voice dripping with sarcasm, "Do you think I would believe what you're saying?"
"What if I had the doctor from back then confess in person?" Jiang Feifei pulled out her phone.
Seeing her prepared demeanor, Ye Ziyu's disbelief began to waver.
During childbirth, her body had been too weak. In her groggy state, she remembered the doctor showing her the supposedly deceased fourth child. However, she was too frail, and before she could get a clear look, the baby was taken away by the doctor.
Later, because Di Mingjue wanted her children, and fearing the discovery of her triplets, she handed Qianqian over to Shen Lin and then fled the country overnight with Xiao Ran and Yu Ze.
The child she never got to see had always been a deep wound in Ye Ziyu's heart.
Ye Ziyu observed Jiang Feifei's expression intently.
Opening her phone, Jiang Feifei sent a video to Ye Ziyu's mobile.
"Take a look. You should still recognize the doctor who delivered you back then."
Ye Ziyu clicked on the video. The doctor indeed looked familiar. Despite the years that had passed, the changes were not significant.
"Miss Ye, I apologize. Due to my cowardice at the time, I sold your fourth child to a couple. I regret it deeply now. If I hadn't been selfish and confessed my mistake to you, your fourth child wouldn't have been taken from you."
Her ears buzzed. Ye Ziyu could hardly believe her fourth child was alive.
"I know where your child is, but I have a condition for an exchange," Jiang Feifei said.
"What condition?" Ye Ziyu asked.
As long as she could see her long-lost child, she was willing to meet any condition.
"Get my parents out of prison."
This was Jiang Feifei's true purpose for arranging this meeting.
Ye Ziyu's trust began to waver as she looked at Jiang Feifei with suspicion.
Jiang Wenbin and Xu Jingya were in a prison in Didu. Di Mingjue had made special arrangements. Without his consent, no one could bribe the prison guards to release them early.
To secure their release, Jiang Feifei was not above using her child to manipulate her.
"You're not willing?" Jiang Feifei asked anxiously.
"I can," Ye Ziyu replied. "But I have a request as well. I want to see the child first."
"No. You have Di Mingjue and the Ye family on your side. I can't fight you," Jiang Feifei refused her proposal.
"Since we can't reach an agreement, there's no rush to meet," Ye Ziyu said.
If Jiang Feifei was so confident in telling her her child was alive, then Ye Ziyu believed she had a chance to find out where the fourth child was.
"Simultaneous exchange," Jiang Feifei conceded. "I'll bring the child to the pier in three days to meet you. You bring them to the rendezvous."
"Alright," Ye Ziyu agreed.
After leaving the coffee shop, she walked along the street in a daze. Her phone kept ringing, but she ignored it.
Unknowingly, she reached the bottom of Di Jue Group. Seeing Di Mingjue rush out of the building in a panic, Ye Ziyu made up her mind.
