Chapter 478 Buying Medicine

The street corners in the evening were crowded with people, most of whom had just come from the beach and were wearing swimwear.

Jiang Ziyu faced them, weaving through the tall foreign men.

"Beep beep~"

A harsh honking sound came from behind.

The crowded road, urged by the horns, suddenly became congested, making it difficult to even move backward.

Foul curses drifted into her ears, and the fluent English made Jiang Ziyu curiously turn her head.

The cause of the road chaos was a dispute between two young foreign men. Neither would yield to the other, standing in the middle of the road spewing insults.

Do gentlemen only fight with words?

Seeing this scene, Jiang Ziyu couldn't help but have this thought.

"Stop looking, they're about to start fighting," Gu Xiuyu arrived beside Jiang Ziyu as lightly as a gust of wind.

Startled, Jiang Ziyu turned back and looked at his serious expression.

"They each have a gun. This isn't just a simple verbal argument like back home," Gu Xiuyu gentlemanly placed his hand a few centimeters away from Jiang Ziyu's waist, guiding her out of the crowd.

Just as they walked away, panicked screams erupted from where the argument was happening.

Onlookers scattered, covering their heads, and everything Gu Xiuyu had predicted came true.

Gu Xiuyu was very familiar with the surroundings and easily led Jiang Ziyu away from danger.

By the time Jiang Ziyu reacted, they were standing outside a pharmacy.

"I'll wait for you at the entrance," Gu Xiuyu said to Jiang Ziyu.

The pharmacy was right in front of her. Thinking of Di Mingjue still in pain on the toilet, Jiang Ziyu entered the pharmacy without hesitation.

After buying the necessary medication, Jiang Ziyu was eager to return.

"Are you feeling unwell?" Gu Xiuyu followed closely behind Jiang Ziyu, his eyes glancing at the medicine box in her tote bag.

She had been saved by him just moments ago, and she felt awkward saying unpleasant things. Jiang Ziyu hesitated the entire way and stopped at the hotel entrance.

She looked at him with a serious expression and conveyed her well-thought-out words, "It's not me who is unwell, it's my husband. I need to take this medicine to him in the room so he can take it. Thank you very much today. It's a pleasure to meet a compatriot in a foreign country. I'll treat you to a meal with my husband when we have the chance."

With her husband on her lips, Gu Xiuyu was now completely convinced that Jiang Ziyu was a married woman.

A rare encounter, but ultimately destined for a shallow fate.

Gu Xiuyu forced a smile, "You should go up quickly."

Jiang Ziyu nodded politely at him and followed the flow of people into the hotel lobby, disappearing in front of the elevator.

Is she really married?

Gu Xiuyu's mind was filled with Jiang Ziyu's image, which lingered stubbornly.

After taking the medicine Jiang Ziyu brought, Di Mingjue felt much more comfortable. He lay in bed, looking like a frail invalid, being meticulously cared for by Jiang Ziyu.

This was considered compensation!

Their private evening together was ruined. In the latter half of the night, Di Mingjue fully recovered, a subtle ache in his heart. He wished he could send the three children away somewhere.

Supporting his head with his palm, he laboriously looked at Jiang Ziyu, who was far from him.

The three children were like three walls, firmly separating him and Jiang Ziyu.

*Plop*, Xiao Ran turned over, her raised left leg resting on Di Mingjue's waist. She mumbled something in her sleep, a smile on her lips as she drifted in her dreams.

Everyone was happy, only he was in pain!

Helplessly, Di Mingjue had to lie flat on the bed, staring blankly at the chandelier, waiting for sleep to claim him.

The next day.

Jiang Ziyu woke up very early. She got out of bed and went to Di Mingjue's bedside, leaning down to kiss his forehead and awaken him from his dreams.

"Kiss here!" Di Mingjue pointed to his lips.

Mistaking it for a dream, he pouted his lips, actively seeking a kiss.

Jiang Ziyu pushed his shoulder and whispered in his ear, "Let's go have breakfast first."
