Kiss him?
Speculation immediately sprang to mind.
Before she could react, a shadow fell, covering her face.
A warm sensation touched her cheek, and a light laugh echoed in her ears. Jiang Ziyu finally snapped out of her daze.
He had just kissed her!
Her fingertips brushed the spot where she had been kissed, and her gaze fell upon Qianqian and Di Mingjue, who were beaming with smiles.
Qianqian suddenly moved behind her, her small, soft hands pushing her closer to Di Mingjue.
"It's your turn." Di Mingjue proactively brought his cheek closer to hers.
Turning her head to look at Qianqian, who was watching expectantly, Jiang Ziyu steeled herself. She leaned forward, her lips quickly brushing Di Mingjue's cheek.
Like a butterfly landing on a flower, Di Mingjue felt nothing. He put on a sulky face and said aggrievedly, "Did you kiss me? I didn't feel anything."
"Don't push your luck!" Before she could pull her hand back, Jiang Ziyu glared at him, gritting her teeth.
Di Mingjue seemed not to hear her, his face drooping as he looked at Qianqian. "I finished, she didn't."
Qianqian understood the meaning of his words. She tugged at her sleeve, forcefully pulling the two of them together.
Losing her balance, Jiang Ziyu stumbled forward. As she was about to fall to the ground, Di Mingjue caught her in his arms.
Feeling his breath above her, Jiang Ziyu looked up at Di Mingjue's rosy, glowing face.
Thump-thump~ The clear heartbeat, whose was it?
Their burning gazes met, and Di Mingjue lowered his head, kissing Jiang Ziyu's lips.
Her chest pounded, and Jiang Ziyu involuntarily closed her eyes.
"Silly, why aren't you breathing?" Di Mingjue teased gently.
With a flushed face, Jiang Ziyu shyly stood up from his embrace, turned, and fled from them.
"Cousin-in-law, what's wrong?"
Running to the front courtyard, Di Ruihe stopped Jiang Ziyu.
Forced to halt, Jiang Ziyu faced Di Ruihe's curious gaze.
"She's shy," Di Mingjue's voice drifted from behind.
Seeing someone talking to him, Jiang Ziyu moved past him and into the front hall.
Di Ruihe was about to follow, but Di Mingjue called him to a stop. "I have something to say to you."
The two of them went to the study. Di Ruihe sat on the sofa, looking at Di Mingjue, who remained silent. "Didn't you have something to say?"
"Don't rush," Di Mingjue said, sitting at his desk. The computer emitted a constant beeping sound.
Two more minutes passed.
"I have other matters to attend to. I'll talk to you once you've handled it." Di Ruihe stood up from the sofa. Before he could take a step, he was called back.
Following Di Mingjue's words, he approached the computer. xxs
On it was a contract photographed, with his name at the end. The contract was from a long time ago, perhaps three weeks prior.
"What is it?" Di Ruihe asked, feigning ignorance.
"Do you know what it means to sign a contract and then start executing the project without authorization?" Di Mingjue asked.
If it were an ordinary employee, they would have been fired and held legally responsible.
Di Ruihe played along, pretending to be relaxed and jesting, "Cousin, are you being too serious? I'm also a member of the Di family, and I have the same rights as you. Besides, the project is going very well. Why distinguish between yours and mine?"
If it were an ordinary item, it could be taken freely. But a company was different, and so were rights.
Seeing his unbridled and undisguised greed, Di Mingjue's last shred of familial affection vanished. "This is the last time. If this happens again, I won't be kindly reminding you here."
"You'll drive me out of the country too?" Di Ruihe challenged coldly.
Currently, he was the only male member of the Di family still working at Di Jue Group. The others had either been sent abroad or banned from entering the group.
With the target of expulsion now set on him, Di Ruihe was not going to be foolishly driven away!
