Chapter 81 The Jealousy Act

Listening to Mu Liangchen's words, a warmth filled Jiang Ziyu's heart. Although life abroad was difficult, having one or two close friends made it not feel so tough.

She turned the water she had prepared to give to Di Mingjue and handed it to Mu Liangchen instead.

A warm breeze swept past his side, and Di Mingjue sensed Jiang Ziyu's action. His teeth clenched together, making a grinding sound in the quiet private room.

Mu Liangchen sensed the direction of the sound and retaliated against Di Mingjue's earlier provocation. He downed the water in two gulps, deliberately making a sound with his lips, "This tastes great!"

Saying this, he placed the cup on the table and looked at Di Mingjue with a provocative expression.

"Waiter!" Di Mingjue suddenly called out.

There was a dedicated waiter outside the private room to serve its guests. The door was soon pushed open from the outside.

"May I help you?" the waiter asked respectfully, standing just inside the doorway.

Di Mingjue pointed at Mu Liangchen's position, "Please pour this gentleman another cup of water."

Pour water?

Everyone present froze for a few seconds.

Jiang Ziyu saw that Di Mingjue was angry and didn't want things to be too awkward. She winked at Mu Liangchen, signaling him to restrain himself.

The empty cup was filled with water. Mu Liangchen also saw Di Mingjue's anger and didn't want to make things difficult for Jiang Ziyu, so he reined himself in and stopped provoking.

The dishes were served one after another, filling the table with the restaurant's highest-grade food.

So extravagant! Mu Liangchen mused inwardly.

He really couldn't understand why, since Di Mingjue was so wealthy, Jiang Ziyu had lived such a difficult life abroad.

He had asked Jiang Ziyu about the children's father before. At first, she didn't answer, even implying that the father had passed away. Later, as their relationship grew closer, and especially after Yuze fell ill and needed a kidney, he learned that the children's father was the famous Di Mingjue.

After all this winding and turning, they had become entangled again.

During the meal, Mu Liangchen habitually shared delicious food with Jiang Ziyu, but this action further deepened Di Mingjue's dislike for him.

Within minutes, Jiang Ziyu's plate was filled by the waiter beside her. The culprit was Di Mingjue, who was sitting next to her.

There was no more space on the plate, and when Mu Liangchen wanted to serve her, he had to search for a long time for an empty spot.

Through all this, a bold guess flashed in his mind.

Was he jealous?

With this thought, Mu Liangchen's eyes were fixed on Di Mingjue.

There was no one who understood men better than another man. He was certain in his heart that the reason Di Mingjue was angry was because he cared about Jiang Ziyu.

A smile curved his lips, and Mu Liangchen suddenly let out a hearty laugh.

His joy was seen as provocation by Di Mingjue. He put his chopsticks down on the table and turned to Jiang Ziyu, "I want to eat shrimp!"

"There's no such dish," Jiang Ziyu glanced at the table. The vast array of dishes on the large table meant she hadn't looked closely.

Di Mingjue didn't give up due to her perfunctory reply. He spoke and instructed, "Order a plate of braised shrimp."

The waiter received the order and left the private room.

For the rest of the meal, Jiang Ziyu became Di Mingjue's personal attendant. She peeled shrimp and cracked crab for him, and while he ate happily, she served him with a glum expression.

After the meal, as Mu Liangchen was leaving, he subtly shared his guess with Jiang Ziyu.

However, Jiang Ziyu just smiled and refuted that he was mistaken.

On the way back to the Di residence, Di Mingjue sat in the back seat, sulking.

"I didn't realize you had so many male friends," Di Mingjue said sourly.

Jiang Ziyu glanced at him, her eyes fixed on her phone screen.

"What? You don't like it when someone points it out?" Di Mingjue brought it up again.

After being mentioned twice, Jiang Ziyu put her phone down helplessly, "Can I understand that you're jealous?"
