Chapter 423 Second Sister Bai Yinchen

As if in a movie montage, Yu Zhibo selectively showed the Heavenly Fox spirit the scenes of his time with Bai Chanyi.

At first, the Heavenly Fox spirit didn't realize the black cat was her sister, but when she noticed the black cat appearing frequently in the footage, and coupled with her current predicament, she instantly understood the truth.

If she hadn't been in spirit form, she might have burst into tears then.

Her ninth sister, who had been doted on since childhood, had never suffered such hardship, to the point of being bullied by a stray dog.

Fortunately, she had met Yu Zhibo.

Seeing Bai Chanyi and Yu Zhibo living increasingly better lives, the Heavenly Fox spirit finally relaxed completely, even starting to ship them.

Of course, she didn't know what "shipping" meant; she simply enjoyed watching Yu Zhibo and her ninth sister interact, and consequently, she found Yu Zhibo very agreeable.

The memory fragments, like fleeting glimpses, quickly shifted to the scene of Bai Chanyi reuniting with her father, Wang Shouyi, which made the Heavenly Fox spirit even more emotional.

"Father..."

The Heavenly Fox spirit let out a whimper and lunged towards Wang Shouyi's embrace, but as expected, she passed through him. Disappointed, she continued watching.

Next were the scenes of her mother, Bai Lanzhi, and her ninth sister reconstructing their physical bodies, followed by the resurrection of her third brother, Bai Xinyi.

The news that her parents and brother were alive filled her with ecstatic joy, but the uncertain fate of her other relatives left her deeply concerned.

Seeing that Yu Zhibo and Bai Chanyi had three children brought her immense happiness.

After watching all the memory footage provided by Yu Zhibo, the Heavenly Fox spirit opened her eyes. Her gaze towards Yu Zhibo was no longer one of unfamiliarity, but solely of gratitude and satisfaction.

"Xiao Bo, thank you for saving my mother and sister." The Heavenly Fox spirit stood up, transforming into a beautiful maiden with jade-like skin and elegant attire, and bowed to Yu Zhibo.

She bore a strong resemblance to Bai Chanyi, but her hair was naturally wavy, giving her a unique charm.

Yu Zhibo smiled and replied, "It was all my duty."

The Heavenly Fox spirit beamed, "We're family now, so I won't be polite. I am your second sister, Bai Yinchen. You can call me Second Sister. It's fortunate for Xiao Jiu to have met you..."

Her voice trailed off, and she hesitated, "Are my father and mother still on Earth?"

Yu Zhibo shook his head, "Not all of them. Your father-in-law and mother-in-law, along with your third brother, are still on Earth. But Xiao Jiu didn't want to be separated from me, so I placed her in a fragment world."

Upon hearing that her parents and brother were not present, Bai Yinchen's eyes showed a hint of disappointment. However, when she heard the latter part, her beautiful eyes couldn't help but sparkle with surprise, "Can I go see Xiao Jiu?"

"Xiao Jiu has undergone some fortuitous encounters and is currently in seclusion, sleeping. If Second Sister wishes to see her, I can use some means to let you meet."

Yu Zhibo grinned widely, "She'll be very happy to see Second Sister."

Bai Yinchen smiled like a blooming flower, her satisfaction with Yu Zhibo growing. Just as she was about to agree, she suddenly remembered something and said with a sigh, "Never mind. I got too excited just now and forgot my current state. I can't leave this consciousness space at all."

Yu Zhibo chuckled nonchalantly, "Improving your realm is a piece of cake for me. As for the elixirs and treasures to replenish your soul, I have those too. Second Sister, please wait a moment."

Without waiting for Bai Yinchen's reaction, he exited the consciousness space.

In the outside world, Yu Zhibo opened his eyes and met the gaze of the little fox.

"Thank you for your trouble, brother-in-law!" The little fox, having recovered her memories, no longer had the initial innocent look. This was Bai Yinchen.

The little fox's true consciousness had vanished shortly after birth, which allowed Bai Yinchen, who had drifted to this place, to successfully possess the body and regain her life. However, due to the body's extreme weakness, her memories had been sealed, and she could only act on instinct.

Although a new consciousness was later formed, it was built upon Bai Yinchen's primary consciousness, so after recovering her memories, she was quickly dominated by Bai Yinchen's consciousness.

However, no matter what, Bai Yinchen had ultimately possessed the body of the mother rabbit's child. Therefore, when she turned to look at the mother rabbit, her gaze inevitably carried a hint of complexity.

Meanwhile, the mother rabbit, having absorbed Yu Zhibo's information about Bai Yinchen's true identity, fell into silence.

After a long pause, it trembled and asked, "Are you really my daughter?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" Bai Yinchen, despite recovering her memories, cherished the bond she had formed with the mother rabbit over the years. She would never forget how weak she was when she first possessed the body, and how the mother rabbit had squeezed out her own sustenance to raise her.

She walked up to the mother rabbit and nuzzled its neck with her furry head, speaking in animal tongue, "Mother, will you abandon me because I've recovered my past life's memories?"

She didn't tell the mother rabbit that her real daughter had died shortly after birth, only that she had recovered memories from a past life.

"Of course not!" The mother rabbit exclaimed excitedly, "You will always be Mother's most beloved daughter!"

The mother rabbit assumed her daughter was the reincarnation of some powerful being from the Heavenly Fox clan. Being a spirit beast herself, her thoughts were simple, and she quickly came to terms with it, saying happily, "I'm just glad you're capable now. Otherwise, with your original intelligence, I was truly afraid you'd be captured and eaten by some spirit beast."

She then looked at Yu Zhibo, "Is this your husband from your past life? He truly is a distinguished gentleman..."

Yu Zhibo was speechless.

Bai Yinchen awkwardly interrupted, "He's my husband from my past life, Mother. Don't say things like that."

"Is that so!" The mother rabbit, equivalent to a D-class demon beast on Earth, let out a disappointed "oh," but quickly became happy, "Then will we have meat to eat from now on? Your brother-in-law here looks very capable and surely won't mistreat us mother and daughter."

"Putting aside other things, I have enough food in this space. Aunt Rabbit, my daughter and I have something to discuss. Would you mind resting for a while?" Yu Zhibo said with a smile.

"Oh my, I can't possibly accept the title of aunt!" the mother rabbit replied nervously, "I'm only a little over sixty years old."

Yu Zhibo smiled, "I'm just over thirty!"

At these words, not only the mother rabbit but even Bai Yinchen's eyes widened.

"A Nascent Soul stage cultivator in his thirties..."

The mother and daughter exchanged glances, seeing the disbelief in each other's eyes.

After a moment of stunned silence, the mother rabbit's face broke into a wide smile, "Good, good, good! You are so powerful at such a young age, you are destined to become an immortal or a deity. We are truly honored. Please don't look down on my little fox; she is your elder sister, after all."

Yu Zhibo chuckled. He could discern all of the mother rabbit's thoughts and feelings, finding her somewhat like an ordinary human woman – a bit materialistic, but not inherently bad.

He led the mother rabbit to a room filled with spiritual meat and delicacies, where she was instantly captivated by the dishes, forgetting everything else.

"Then shall we begin!"

Yu Zhibo smiled at Bai Yinchen and raised his index finger, upon which floated a drop of blood-red Heavenly Fox blood, radiating a soft glow.
