The assassins were unwilling to let Li Se go easily. Even though several of them had already died, they continued to pursue him relentlessly, their gunfire never ceasing.
The main problem was the sheer number of assassins. Li Se had no choice but to continuously dodge, grabbing whatever he could find amidst his evasion to use as a weapon. Whenever he caught sight of an opponent, it was a fatal blow.
Li Se couldn't fight with his full strength as Tang Rou was a burden by his side. A single misstep could cost her life. Moreover, the assassins had grown smarter, shifting their aim from Li Se to Tang Rou.
This made things even more difficult for Li Se, forcing him to prioritize her protection. However, some assassins still targeted him, as a considerable number had been deployed this time.
Even after taking down several, a large group remained, making it seem as if an entire assassin organization had been dispatched.
*Creak!*
Just then, another car arrived.
Li Se initially thought it was more assassins, but upon closer inspection, he realized it was Xu Qiang.
"Boss, get in the car! We'll handle the rest!" Xu Qiang said quickly.
Li Se didn't hesitate, pulling Tang Rou into the car. He soon saw several figures charging towards the assassins.
"Who are these people?" Li Se asked, bewildered.
Xu Qiang grinned, "They are all trained by us. With Qilin leading them, not a single assassin will escape!"
"Leave a few alive," Li Se said calmly.
"Yes, boss!" Xu Qiang nodded, then took out his walkie-talkie and relayed, "Leave a few alive!"
About ten minutes later, the car reached a safe location. The fate of the assassins was sealed.
"Were they all here to kill you?" Tang Rou asked, her voice trembling.
"Send this woman back," Li Se said, not wanting to waste more words with Tang Rou.
"I nearly died at the hands of those assassins because of you. Don't you owe me responsibility?" Tang Rou gritted her teeth.
However, she was clearly frightened and didn't say any more. She was soon sent back.
After Tang Rou was sent back, Qilin had also finished dealing with the assassins.
"Boss, I left a few alive!" Qilin walked over, dragging several people.
These assassins were all injured and looked at Li Se in fear. They couldn't have imagined that their coordinated attack, with so many assassins, would still end in failure.
"Who sent you?" Li Se asked one of them.
"I... I don't know..." Before the assassin could finish speaking, Li Se had already inserted a silver needle into his body.
"Ah!" The assassin immediately screamed in agony, the pain unbearable.
The other assassins trembled at the sight, instinctively shaking. Although they didn't know what had happened, they could tell their comrade was suffering greatly.
These assassins were professionally trained and could endure much pain. However, the way their comrade was screaming was enough to indicate the extent of the suffering.
"Who sent you?" Li Se looked at the next one. httpδ:/m.kuAisugg.nět
The assassin stammered, "I'm not too sure. But I know our leader knows. We're just carrying out missions; we have no idea who the employer is."
"Who is your leader, and where is he?" Li Se asked calmly.
"I don't know where he is now, but I can call him," the assassin said immediately.
Li Se nodded, "Make the call!"
The assassin, trembling, took out his phone and called his leader.
The call was answered shortly after, and a hoarse, deep voice came from the other end: "Is the mission complete?"
"Leader... I... I..." The assassin was too scared to speak clearly.
The other party was clearly very vigilant. Upon hearing the voice, he immediately sensed something was wrong and hung up the phone.
"Quite cautious, aren't we!" Li Se sneered, then looked at Qilin.
Qilin chuckled, "Boss, we've already located him. I've sent people over. Within half an hour, he should be apprehended."
It was evident that Qilin had immense confidence in the people he trained.
As expected, half an hour later, a white-haired man was brought over. His voice was indeed the same as the one on the phone just now.
"It... it's you!" the white-haired man exclaimed in shock.
"It seems you know me. I heard you're the leader of this assassin organization. Not bad, sending an entire organization to kill me. The employer must have paid you quite a sum, right?" Li Se said with a smile.
The white-haired man remained silent.
"If you cooperate and tell me who the employer is, perhaps I can make your death quicker. What do you think?" Li Se continued.
The white-haired man rolled his eyes. "Damn it, being honest just means a quicker death? Is there an even more agonizing way to die?"
"I haven't met the employer. Even if I had, I wouldn't betray them!" the white-haired man said sternly.
"I hope you can remain this stubborn later," Li Se sneered, and another silver needle was inserted into the man's body.
Soon, the white-haired man's fate was almost identical to the previous one. He began to scream and wail in pain.
"I'll... I'll talk..." the white-haired man couldn't hold on any longer. The pain was simply too excruciating, feeling like countless insects were biting him, and the biting sensation itself was agonizing.
Li Se quickly withdrew the silver needle and said calmly, "Speak, who is it?"
"It... it's someone called..." Before he could finish, the white-haired man suddenly bit his tongue, blood flowing from his mouth.
Li Se hadn't expected the white-haired man to commit suicide by biting his tongue. He wanted to treat him, but it was too late.
"Let me tell you, I'll only die a more miserable death. Since that's the case, I'll just kill myself, ha ha..." After saying this, the white-haired man collapsed on the ground, dead.
Li Se frowned. Being bitten to death in such a situation was his oversight. The main reason was that this white-haired man would rather die than reveal the mastermind, which could only mean one thing: the mastermind possessed considerable power.
"Boss, it seems we'll have to investigate ourselves," Xu Qiang said.
"Yes!" Li Se nodded.
He had encountered numerous assassin ambushes, but this one was the most perilous, with so many assassins appearing at once, catching him off guard.
It was relatively easy to guess who could afford such a large-scale operation. It was highly likely to be someone from the Li family!
