Chapter 294: Chapter 294 Gu Jiahui’s Note
Sheng Tang got off the bus one stop before the school gate and told Gu Shiting to go ahead.
She took the bus and arrived at school.
She was still worried about the final exams, feeling a bit distracted while reading.
At noon, Sheng Tang ran into Gu Jiahui at the cafeteria.
Gu Jiahui came down from the third floor, passed by her, and handed her a note.
Sheng Tang: "...."
What’s up with these students?
What era is this? Still passing notes? Can’t they just send a WeChat message?
Text messages would work too.
She opened the note.
Gu Jiahui had written: "If you don’t want to be infamous, come find me here. Destroy after reading."
Sheng Tang: "...."
Was Gu Jiahui’s brain kicked by a donkey when he was young? Has he been watching too many spy dramas?
When Sheng Tang went to the bathroom, she flushed the note down the drain.
Her mood was unsettled during the afternoon classes.
She had a photographic memory and some other special abilities: her sixth sense was always very sharp.
This was totally irrational.
Whenever danger was approaching, Sheng Tang was not clueless; she would feel inexplicably agitated at certain moments.
She couldn’t calm down the entire afternoon.
She couldn’t focus on the lessons or do any homework, always feeling like something was off.
After school, originally planning to ignore Gu Jiahui’s note, Sheng Tang decided to check out the place he mentioned.
Gu Jiahui had arranged to meet her at a flower shop.
The flower shop was near the park next to the school.
On a winter afternoon, the park was extremely cold. Sheng Tang wrapped herself in a down jacket, walked through the park, and finally found the flower shop after searching for a while.
"Excuse me, is there a friend waiting for me here?" Sheng Tang asked the shop owner.
The owner was a girl in her late twenties, beautiful with almond-shaped eyes and a small face.
"Are you Sheng Tang?" the shop owner asked.
Sheng Tang nodded.
The owner pointed upstairs: "Just go straight up."
The flower shop was small with a tiny attic. The stairs were wooden, narrow, and fragile.
When Sheng Tang stepped on them, they creaked, making her wonder if she was going to break them.
Upstairs was a small room with a bed and a sofa.
A young man was lounging on the sofa playing a game.
Sheng Tang lightly coughed.
He turned around, his handsome face partially obscured by shadows, softening his usual stern look, making him exude an indescribable charm and docility.
"You really came?" Gu Jiahui didn’t move, but a smirk crept up his eyes.
His smile was wicked, like he had succeeded in some scheme.
Sheng Tang suddenly felt she might have been played, just being teased by Gu Jiahui.
She felt a bit annoyed: "Didn’t you say there was something important?"
Gu Jiahui pointed to the game on the screen connected to the TV: "Do you know how to play this?"
Sheng Tang shook her head.
Gu Jiahui said, "Then wait for me to finish this round."
Sheng Tang: "Are you messing with me? I’m leaving."
"Since you’re here," Gu Jiahui’s voice was lazy, "Come over, I have something good for you."
Sheng Tang was skeptical.
Gu Jiahui took out a computer and opened some file, then gestured for Sheng Tang to come over.
The attic was not high, similar to the one in Gu Shiting’s house, and Gu Jiahui couldn’t stand upright when he stood up.
He kept his head slightly lowered, his long eyelashes covering his eyes, making him look gentle and harmless.
Since Sheng Tang was here, she had her reasons.
She walked over.
It was a video.
The video was clear, showing a man and a woman.
Sheng Tang watched for ten seconds, perplexed: "What are you showing me this for?"
Gu Jiahui smiled: "Keep watching."
Sheng Tang didn’t understand but continued watching.
