Chapter 202: Chapter 202 Scarf
Because Sheng Tang was sitting close, she overheard the girl saying to Professor Sheng, "Teacher, I forgot to submit my paper a while ago. Can I still turn it in now?"
The professor was a little surprised, "A while ago? The last paper was assigned in October."
The girl looked a bit embarrassed.
"Go ahead, hand it in." Professor Sheng sighed, "But this is the last time, you need to turn in your assignments on time from now on."
The girl was overjoyed.
Then, she took out her phone, "Teacher, can I take a photo with you? I have a high school friend, she’s from another school, and she saw your lesson plans online. She really admires you."
Professor Sheng was clearly a bit displeased.
He furrowed his brow slightly but didn’t want to embarrass the girl in public.
Sheng Tang had been observing the girl.
Seeing that Professor Sheng agreed, the girl was very happy and casually brushed against Professor Sheng’s side.
With sharp eyes, Sheng Tang noticed her hand.
The girl asked a passing boy to use her phone to help take the picture.
Pretending to find it amusing, Sheng Tang took out her own phone and quickly snapped a photo as well.
After taking the picture, she smiled at them.
The girl didn’t notice her. After the photo shoot, the girl’s hand brushed against Professor Sheng’s pocket again before she returned to her seat.
Sheng Tang noticed her playing on her phone during the lecture, even opening that photo and seemingly sending it to someone.
She claimed her friend was a fan of Professor Sheng and was sending the photo to her, which seemed reasonable enough.
Sheng Tang pretended not to notice.
After class, she deliberately sneaked to the bathroom to look at the photo she had covertly taken.
Seeing it, Sheng Tang was startled, her face turned pale.
"What are they planning to do?" Rage filled her heart.
Had her father offended someone?
Sheng Tang calmed herself for a minute. By the time she returned to the classroom, she had regained her composure.
The girl was still sitting there, playing on her phone.
Sheng Tang engaged in casual conversation, asking, "What’s your name?"
The girl smiled, "I’m Chen Zhan, the Zhan of ’blossom’. And you?"
"I’m Sheng Tang."
Chen Zhan acknowledged her with an ’oh’, smiled, and continued to focus on her phone.
She was undoubtedly a member of this class since her name was called during roll call; yet she must rarely attend because she didn’t recognize Sheng Tang and was indifferent that Sheng Tang didn’t know her.
If they’re classmates but don’t know each other, how many classes has she missed?
Why did she come today, and why did she deliberately take a photo with Professor Sheng?
Sheng Tang’s eyes narrowed, a thought forming in her mind.
She opened a shopping website and searched for sellers of lace scarves, then asked, "Can you embroider words on the scarf?"
The first seller said no.
Sheng Tang contacted five sellers in total, finally finding one who said yes.
Delighted, she placed the order and urged them to customize it quickly and ship it out as soon as possible.
With that task done, she felt slightly relieved.
"Good thing I came today. Dad always lets his guard down around people. Who wants to harm him?" Sheng Tang’s mood grew somber.
Her father wasn’t particularly outstanding at the school, always developing his career steadily. What he earned, he deserved, and it was acknowledged by others, so he hadn’t stirred up much envy over the years.
If it’s unrelated to anyone at the school, then...
Could it have something to do with her?
She had just offended Yang Mingming! If Yang Mingming wanted to get back at her and drive her away from Gu Shiting, what could be easier than framing her father?
If her father’s reputation was ruined, would the Gu Family still shelter her?
That would be a brilliant move, indeed a strike at the heart.
Thinking of this, Sheng Tang felt a chill down her spine.
