Chapter 123: You All Deserve to Die

Chapter 123: Chapter 123: You All Deserve to Die

The magical beast entered the hall, causing the already uncontrolled crowd to completely collapse.

Little Jia’s heart was about to leap out of his chest. He struggled to push away the adults in front and ran towards the other wall with five other children.

"Brother Jia!" Xiao Min suddenly shouted, "I dropped my doll!"

Little Jia instinctively looked back. Sure enough, Xiao Min’s doll had fallen behind, being kicked around by the panicked crowd.

"Survival first!" Little Jia glanced at the distance between them and the magical beast, decisively abandoning the doll, "I’ll buy you a new one later!"

Xiao Min obediently nodded and continued to follow Little Jia.

Little Jia quickly found a wooden door on the west side of the hall. The east side also had a similar wooden door, but it had been smashed by the magical beast.

Little Jia stood on tiptoe to open the door, discovering a corridor inside. Around the corridor were four rooms, one of which was a bathroom.

"Go, hide inside!"

Little Jia stuffed the children into the bathroom and quickly said, "Unless this place collapses, don’t run out. Do you understand?"

"Where are you going?" Xiao An caught the implication in Little Jia’s words, grabbing his hand and asking.

"I’m going to find Qian Qi," Little Jia paused, "We’ve changed positions; she won’t be able to find us!"

He had to return to the original location to find Qian Qi!

"But it’s so dangerous outside..." Xiao Min cried, "Brother Jia, what if you can’t find Qian Qi?"

"If I can’t find her, I’ll come back first." Little Jia patted Xiao Min’s head, wiped away her tears, and comforted, "Don’t be afraid. Qian Qi is very strong; she might have already killed the magical beast!"

"Remember what the director taught us about evading magical beasts?" Little Jia held out his little finger to Xiao Min, "Xiao Min, be strong. Now I’m giving you the task of protecting the others. Can you do it?"

Xiao Min sobbed twice, hooked her little finger around Little Jia’s, "Okay, if it collapses here, I’ll run away with them!"

Little Jia nodded, reminded the others to protect Xiao Min, and then gritted his teeth as he dashed out the door.

By now, the hall was a bloody scene. A black magical beast was slaughtering wantonly here, with blood dripping incessantly from its mouth, while outside, another magical beast stepped inside, punched through a window, and swallowed the inside staff whole.

Some people had given up struggling, holding the children crushed to death in despair, sobbing. Two E-level Awakeners guards attacked the magical beast, only to be easily counter-killed by it.

It’s D-level!

Little Jia instantly guessed the level of the magical beast. He didn’t know if Qian Qi could handle a D-level magical beast, but finding Qian Qi was of utmost importance now.

He suppressed his fear of the magical beast and the nausea from the shattered bodies, swiftly scanning the hall with his eyes. Because many people had died, his field of vision widened. He even spotted the doll Xiao Min had dropped.

The fragile doll was now headless, the beautifully crafted doll head likely kicked away by someone, leaving only a lonely body behind, revealing the cold white fixed support at the neck joint.

As long as the head was still there, with a bit of washing and stitching, Xiao Min wouldn’t mind, would she?

However, only after it was safe could he find the doll’s head.

Little Jia quickly withdrew his gaze and ran towards the spot where they had previously waited for Qian Qi. He thought that if Qian Qi came looking for them, she would definitely linger there.

For some reason, if it were the old annoying Qian Qi, Little Jia wouldn’t have believed she would come looking for them. But now, with the current Qian Qi, he felt certain she’d come.

Sure enough, Qian Qi was standing where they had been before, anxiously shouting at the air, looking flustered, nothing like her previous calm.

Stupid Qian Qi, what’s she doing?

Little Jia watched Qian Qi talking to the air and, inexplicably, wanted to laugh. He waved and shouted towards Qian Qi, "Qian Qi! Over here!"

Great, she’s alive too! He definitely had to brag to Qian Qi later that he’d completed the task of protecting his younger siblings!

Hmph~ He still remembered her calling him a little kid!

Upon hearing Little Jia’s voice, Qian Qi turned her head abruptly, her eyes noticeably lighting up when she saw Little Jia. She immediately sprinted over!

Little Jia also ran towards Qian Qi, suppressing his fear and avoiding the bodies on the ground, solely focused on reaching Qian Qi’s embrace.

But as he ran, he noticed something flash in Qian Qi’s eyes, and a look of fear suddenly appeared on her face.

Qian Qi, what is she afraid of?

Ah, it hurts.

Little Jia’s last conscious thought lingered on these three words.

"No—!"

Qian Qi roared in anger, a scarlet hue suddenly flooding her incredulous gaze. She watched helplessly as a smaller magical beast suddenly dashed towards Little Jia, lowering its claw and crushing Little Jia’s head directly.

Little Jia’s small body wobbled and, unable to hold up, collapsed to the ground. Bright red blood trickled from the white knuckle at his neck, connecting to the not far-off, headless, pretty doll, gradually dyeing the cold white support in red, making it hard to tell if it was Little Jia bleeding, or the doll losing its head.

They lay motionless on the ground, as if the clamor of the world had nothing more to do with them.

"Ah—! You bastard—!" Watching this scene, Qian Qi was enraged. The blood-red tone in her eyes surged with endless killing intent. The towering fury made her suddenly lift her fists and fiercely smashed it towards the magical beast!

Just a little bit more, just a few more steps!

If only she could run a bit faster, if only she could—

But there’s no "if," like mad, Qian Qi concentrated all her might in her fists. She even forgot to take the Defense Fruit, confronting the D-level Copper Scale Beast with her flesh and blood, furiously punching its belly to pieces and ripping its guts out.

"How dare you kill him!" Qian Qi punched the Little Copper-Scaled Beast, and when it fell to the ground in pain, she picked up a nearby table and forcibly jammed its leg into its eyeball!

But how could such venting calm her rage?

She didn’t even dare to turn back to look at the usually mature-talking child’s body. Her head hurt immensely, a breakdown-like spiritual power persistently crashing into her reason, shaking the last bit of her sanity, urging her to become a fierce beast and destroy everything here.

She slowly lifted her head. At some point, blood streaks had filled her eyes, making her face ferocious and looking like a monster perhaps scarier than the magical beast.

Pulling out the blood-dripping table leg, Qian Qi turned to the giant Copper Scale Beasts gathering upon hearing the cries of the Little Copper-Scaled Beast.

An uncontrollable lust for killing ignited throughout her body, shouting to smash them all to pieces.

Her sorrowful eyes flickered slightly, and at some point, it turned into an eerie smile, that fierce face mixed with low, sorrowful laughter and sad crying, becoming twisted and bizarre.

She declared.

"Magic Plants, magical beasts, shouldn’t exist in this world."

"You all deserve to die."
