Chapter 725: Chapter 425: Uncle, please transfer back to Anchester

Henry Sullivan ruffled her hair: "It’s all okay now, go to sleep. I’ll wash up and be right back."

Ivy Miller got into bed. He left the headlamp in the room and went out. When he came back ten minutes later, he had cleaned up.

Seeing her still awake, he brought the headlamp to the bedside and said, "Alright, I’m here now. You can sleep."

"Mister, let’s go back to Anchester."

Henry Sullivan turned to look at her, "What?"

"Mister, you should request to be transferred back to Anchester. My dad always said, with your skills, transferring back to Anchester would be a piece of cake.

The higher-ups think assigning you here is a waste of your talents.

Since you’re so capable, why waste your talents here?"

She lay there, looking at him eagerly, waiting for his answer.

He remained silent for a while, then finally ruffled her hair: "Sleep now, it’s late."

After saying that, he turned off the headlamp and lay down.

Darkness engulfed the room again, and Ivy Miller was somewhat unhappy.

His reaction clearly told her that he wasn’t going back, right?

It’s just a breakup, why does a grown man make such a big fuss about it?

Does he really think he’s some saint?

She turned her back to him, thinking he might as well have just said, "I’m too lazy to go back and live with you."

His current attitude was no different from saying just that.

Ivy Miller felt a surge of frustration well up inside her.

Carrying this anger, she fell asleep despite herself.

But because of what she said, Henry Sullivan didn’t sleep a wink all night.

He kept thinking about the issue, to go back or not to go back.

When she woke up the next day, Henry Sullivan was no longer in the room.

She lazily got out of bed, turned on the light, and noticed the power was back.

She got out of bed, plugged in her phone, and saw the light drizzle was still falling outside, though not heavily.

When she turned on her phone, she was surprised to see that it was already eleven-thirty.

She was speechless; had she really slept that long?

Yawning, she went to freshen up. With cleanser on her face, Henry Sullivan walked in.

"Awake?"

"Yeah," she responded lazily, rinsing her face and applying moisturizer.

Henry Sullivan placed the food on the table: "Perfect timing, go eat."

"See how good I am, saving you a meal by sleeping in."

Henry Sullivan glanced over her: "You should eat more. You’re too skinny, no sensation."

Ivy Miller frowned; could this man be any more blatant with his teasing?

"Where am I lacking in sensation? What’s meant to be plump is plump, and what’s meant to be slim is slim."

Henry Sullivan smiled sideways. Women seemed sensitive about this sort of thing; she had been irritated for days when she said Faye Townsend was so skinny she could poke someone with her bones.

"Once you’ve eaten, entertain yourself. It’s still raining outside, so you should stay in.

I need to sleep for a while and then I have to head to work."

"So you’re going to sleep now?" Ivy Miller was surprised, "You won’t eat with me?"

"I’m really tired. I won’t eat. I only got back at three last night and was in the office by seven thirty this morning. I just don’t have the energy now."

"What? You only got back at three last night?" So she had been tossing and turning until three? No wonder she could sleep so well this morning.

Seeing him wearily push open the door and enter the room, Ivy Miller held back the words she was about to say to him over breakfast.

She was planning to return to Anchester. Since he wasn’t willing to leave here, and unwilling to forget the past, she couldn’t spend her life here feeling sorry for him.
