Chapter 743: Chapter 443 Mother is also afraid, okay?
"What’s up? Trying to control someone’s personal freedom now?" Owen Lennon swirled his wine glass, crossing his legs with an air of ease.
Henry Sullivan gave him a sidelong glance, "I find it embarrassing."
"What’s your problem? Ivy was dressed like that, and it’s no big deal, okay.
Did you not see outside? Lots of girls are dressed like that."
"I can’t manage others, I only manage my woman." Henry folded his arms, "Are you helping me or not?"
Owen nodded, "Alright, alright, with that long face of yours, I’ll help. Helping’s not enough?
Seriously though, how long do you plan to stay this time? If you’re not in a hurry, let’s get together.
It’s been ages since all of us had drinks together.
Every time the three of us meet up, Roman Hughes won’t stop complaining that you’re not around.
Old Zhan might not say anything, but you can tell from his face, he’s down without you here."
Henry crossed his arms and shook his head after a moment, "Not this time, maybe next time. I only got five days off, and just coming and going takes two and a half, I’ll be at home tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow afternoon I have to head back."
"Why bother, running off so far to be a soldier, aren’t you tired?"
Henry smirked, "You wouldn’t understand. There’s happiness there too."
"Happiness? Hmm, you might be right, I probably don’t get your kind of happiness.
You’ve been an odd one since you were a kid, having a crush on a priest’s child during your first love, I salute you for that."
Henry chuckled, "How many years ago was that, and you’re still bringing it up, planning to dig up my past whenever you have nothing to do?"
"Just find it interesting, this circle of friends of ours is full of oddballs."
"I think you’re the oddest one of them all, talking about others." Henry put down the wine glass. "Alright, it’s late, I need to go and get that troublemaking girl back."
"Don’t give the girl a hard time now, she seems quite behaved."
Henry snorted, a well-behaved woman wouldn’t do such infuriating things.
Owen stood up, "Let’s go, I’ll see you out."
"It’s fine, I know the way, I’m more familiar with this place than your home.
And, I’m telling you, find a girlfriend and get married already.
You’re old enough, still proud to be single?"
"Why, since you got married, you’ve turned into an old man?
Already grumpy and now you’re getting preachy like an old geezer."
"I can’t be bothered with you, alright, I’m leaving. Call me if anything comes up."
With that, he turned and walked to the door, Owen raised his brow slightly. Henry actually getting married, must be the sun rising in the west.
But it’s a good thing, better than living so gloomily all the time.
That little girl Ivy seems pretty nice, maybe she can cure this old boy’s blues.
Chloe Wilder quickly blended in and everyone was having a blast, but Ivy Miller, with a small somber face, was wondering how she’d be dealt with tonight.
While she was thinking, Chloe gave her a nudge, "Hey, sis, your husband’s out, better take him away quickly, he scares me."
Ivy looked over at Henry Sullivan and immediately greeted him with a smile, but thought to herself, damn it, I’m scared too, my legs are jelly right now.
