Li Yang smiled and put his arm around her shoulder, saying, "Sister Shui, don't worry. The Eight Great Families are not simple, but I, Li Yang, am not to be trifled with either."

"But if you don't answer, it's hard for me to know if you truly want it," Li Yang teased. "What if I misunderstand and violate a woman's wishes?"
"Oh, don't do this to me on purpose, okay?"
"It seems you really do want it." Seeing that she was already flustered, Li Yang burst into laughter. He stopped teasing her, scooped her up, and headed towards the bedroom.
Shui Xiang let out a surprised cry as Li Yang tossed her onto the bed. Seeing him about to pounce, she quickly said, "Wait, close the door."

The little girl had only just been put to bed. It was unlikely she would wake up within the next hour or two.

Shui Xiang's body stiffened, and she quickly looked towards the door. "Li Yang, stop for a moment."

"Sure, I'll help you," Li Yang said with a smile and went into the kitchen with her.
