Li Yang curiously turned his head and saw a slender female sales associate, about 1.75 meters tall, quickly approaching.
Though she was exquisitely beautiful and had a great figure, her eyes held a distinct mockery directed at Li Yang.
"Who are you? Who allowed you to come in and touch the cars without our permission?" the sales associate asked sternly.
"I'm here to buy a car. I saw this car and liked it, and wanted to check its configuration. Is there a problem?" Li Yang asked, turning back to the sales associate.
"You want to buy a car? Sir, your attire is rather ordinary. You don't look like someone who can afford a Rolls-Royce. Furthermore, the model you're looking at is the most expensive one in the Rolls-Royce lineup, valued at over three million, called the Cullinan."
"This car doesn't suit your temperament. Someone like you, who struggles financially, should probably turn right at the exit and look at cars elsewhere. If you damage this car, you won't be able to afford to pay for it," the sales associate said with an eye-roll, her tone laced with sarcasm.
"Hmph, does such a large dealership like yours also judge people by their appearance?"
Li Yang was speechless. Was it his fault for dressing so understatedly?
Even if he were wealthy, buying clothes worth millions would be absurd. These clothes worth a few thousand were comfortable enough. Selling them at a higher price would only make one a fool.
It was very difficult for others to profit from Li Yang.
However, it was precisely this attitude that led to him being mistaken for someone who couldn't afford things when he went car or house shopping.
What era was this, that such people still existed!
Li Yang shook his head and looked at the sales associate. "You may be beautiful and have a good figure, but your mouth is so large. Is it because customers use it too often?"
"You..."
The sales associate knew Li Yang was deliberately provoking her. She was about to get angry, but then she thought that this man's taste wasn't worth her getting upset over.
She suppressed her anger and feigned composure, saying, "Heh, I think you're just sour grapes because you can't have the fruit."
"If you could truly afford this car, I'd let you experience the benefits of a big mouth. Unfortunately, a man like you can only dream of having a goddess like me."
"Shameless!"
Li Yang rolled his eyes, thinking how truly shameless this woman was, more uninhibited than a princess. It seemed the internet was right; such luxury car dealerships were prone to having sales associates with no bottom line.
As long as you had money, she wouldn't refuse any request.
"Who are you calling shameless? Someone come here and get rid of this guy who's deliberately causing trouble and insulting me!"
The sales associate's anger flared instantly. She turned and shouted towards the security guards at the entrance, and immediately several guards rushed over, surrounding Li Yang.
Her shout alerted some customers and the manager inside the store.
The manager, seeing that something was amiss, walked over from a distance and asked curiously, "What's going on here? What are you doing?"
"Manager, this kid can't afford our cars and is deliberately provoking me, calling me shameless!" the sales associate complained to the manager, pointing at Li Yang.
Li Yang stood his ground, smiling without saying a word.
The manager frowned, sized up Li Yang, and said sternly, "Sir, why are you insulting our staff? Did she do something to you?"
"She didn't do anything. I just don't like her."
As Li Yang spoke, he took out a card from his person and handed it to the manager. "I'll buy this car. Just go and swipe my card."
"Sir, this car costs over thirteen million. Are you sure your card has sufficient balance?"
The manager was taken aback. Li Yang's attire didn't suggest he could afford a Cullinan. However, he wasn't foolish enough to judge by appearance; some influential figures preferred to be low-key and would pay upfront, making them hard to identify.
Li Yang said dismissively, "The money is sufficient. I'm just wondering about any gifts with the car purchase. The sales associate just said that if I could afford it, she'd be mine. Does she stand by her word?"
"Ah? This..."
The manager leaned closer to Li Yang and whispered, "Sir, rest assured, if you can afford this car, we have all sorts of sales associates, and we guarantee you'll be satisfied. However, this is a private matter, and we can discuss it further when we sign the contract."
"Alright, it's settled then. Go ahead and swipe my card,"
Li Yang shrugged, thinking the manager was quite decent, and instructed him casually.
The manager nodded respectfully and turned to order the sales associate, "What are you still standing around for? Hurry up and swipe the card for this gentleman. And you all, get back to your positions. Who told you to come and intimidate this gentleman?"
After that, the sales associate obediently took the card to swipe, while the remaining security guards sheepishly returned to their original posts.
While Li Yang waited, the manager had other sales associates prepare juice, cola, and other beverages for Li Yang to sample.
Li Yang casually picked up a glass of juice and took a couple of sips. The sales associate returned with the card and handed it to the manager expressionlessly, saying, "Manager, this card doesn't have enough funds. It won't go through."
"What?"
The manager was still flattering Li Yang. Seeing Li Yang's composure, he thought the man was genuinely wealthy. But upon hearing this, his expression changed dramatically.
He turned to Li Yang and asked sternly, "Sir, the card you provided is insufficient. Please provide another card for payment."
"Not enough money? How is that possible? My card has not only ten million, but even a hundred million."
Li Yang looked bewildered. He took the card and examined it closely, only then realizing he had accidentally pulled out an old salary card, which looked very similar to his other savings cards.
Once he realized his mistake, he smiled and explained, "Oh, it seems I grabbed the wrong card. No problem, I have other cards."
Saying that, he put the card back into his pocket and rummaged through his pockets a few more times.
However, after feeling through his pockets repeatedly, he found no other cards, only a premium VIP card that slipped out.
"Sir, where is your card? You didn't bring it, did you?"
The sales associate, sensing Li Yang was out of money, couldn't help but step forward and sneer.
If she confirmed Li Yang truly couldn't afford it, she could have the security guards throw him out later.
However, Li Yang smiled calmly and said, "Apologies, I actually didn't bring my card. But don't panic, I have a membership card here. I can leave this card as collateral, and I'll come back tomorrow to pay after I drive off with the car."
As he spoke, Li Yang presented the VIP card that Liu Qingshan had given him.
