"You’re overthinking it. There’s no secret between us. We just talked a bit more because he’s your friend." Some things, since she didn’t know from the start and they had already been resolved, there’s no need for her to find out.
"Tang Dou is also my friend, why don’t I see you talking to her?" Sheng Ning’an felt he wasn’t telling the truth.
She had always had utmost faith in her intuition.
"A proper boyfriend should know to keep a distance from his girlfriend’s best friends. I’m just concerned that my girlfriend might get jealous." Xu Weiran said with an air of seriousness.

"But I don’t want you to misunderstand." Xu Weiran’s smile remained unchanged, sounding quite sincere.
