Aiden was still checking his Ember bar with his status.

"Aiden, you hear me..." Gerald called.

Aiden snapped out of his system, looking at Gerald, who looked worried enough, then his eyes turned to Augustus, who was sitting on his chair—his throne.

His hands were on the table, his golden eyes watching him with worry.

"Y... yes, my lord, I’m extremely sorry. What is it that you ask?"

Augustus leaned back. "No, I am sorry, Aiden. This task is heavy, and burdened with many trials. I had thought..."

"My lord..." Aiden voiced, stepping near, even though he was not commanded.

He would not ignore the mission, as for his own new mission to be fulfilled, he needed to take in Augustus’s mission. Mission, mission mission.

He needed the position of the knight, to mix with more nobility, more noble women, more mana... more Ember.

So...

"My lord, I already vouched, and I have already been knighted by Lady Duchess. I am sorry to say this, but I will not back down." He voiced.

Indefinitely, he can’t back down now, as his target was not just to be a knight, but more. He had to grow his ambition, more and more and more.

He had thought for a bit that maybe the Viscount fief was enough for him; Catherine and Sabrina and all the women there would quell his satisfaction. But his system...

No, he could not blame his system. He already was a piece of shit; he would not blame the system for that. Even his soul stank with lust. He knew himself enough.

The system, Lilith—they saw him, from inside to out. How pathetic he really was and doubled down on him, More than he saw himself. That mission Lilith gave—she just plucked it out from the bottom of his deepest desires.

"...I see. I believe in you, Aiden. Then don’t worry. Even though my wife Denise claims otherwise, I will register your knighthood to the duchy and the Viscount fief."

Aiden turned surprised. Or acted surprised.

’Ummm... you are not fooling anyone, Augustus. I know Catherine and Sabrina already agreed for my knighthood. Before, it was only under the duchy, but now it’s also under the Viscount...’ he thought.

But Aiden reacted very differently, acting as if the news were new. "Oh... Lord Augustus, you would do that... for a peasant like me?" He voiced in charming happiness.

Augustus only nodded with glee. "Yes... I already told you, Aiden, you are one of the few people I truly adore. I even wished if you were my son... oh..."

He paused. "...Don’t tell my daughter those words. She would make a hiss about it." He voiced.

Aiden only smiled further, saluting him. "Yes, my lord, your words are my bonds of promise." He voiced.

"Hahaha... Aiden, I can always count on you. After three days, we will have a ceremony. People who earned nobility, like you and the other sons of barons, earls, and dukes, all will be knighted. I already placed your name on the ceremony. It will be hosted after THREE days. Be ready." He voiced.

Sniff, sniff.

Augustus wanted to speak more, but he had been smelling something strange in his seat—something perfumed, yet also dirty.

He turned to Gerald.

"Gerald, was my office not cleaned?"

"Y... yes, yes, of course, my lord. It’s been cleaned with utter tidiness." He replied.

"Then why does it smell here... or maybe it’s just my clothes..." he voiced. "I came directly from training to tell Aiden his promised seat." He voiced as he stood up.

"Come, Aiden. I have much to tell you, and you have much to listen to and learn, as you will be a knight soon."

Aiden only nodded, as he gazed at the cum stains of Luna on the chair’s silk bedding.

’Of course it would smell. I fucked your daughter’s cousin while your own daughter masturbated where I stood,’ he thought as he followed Augustus.

"Yes, my lord. I am always eager to learn, and if Lord Augustus is willing to teach me some words of wisdom, I can die ever so happily." Aiden voiced, not aloud, claiming absolute confidence.

"Hahaha... you shall, Aiden, you shall. All my teachings and wisdom, I will lay out for you. I will even give you swordsman training. Even if you are a rookie, within three days, you will be a professional, professional I tell you." He voiced with pride.

Thud.

Augustus opened the door to his room. The maids bowed to their lord. Catherine, with her elegant beauty, was sitting on a sofa, signing papers—papers which Augustus had voiced he would pass on to the empire state for Aiden’s eventual knighthood.

He saw her blue eyes, and she saw his golden. A smile appeared, one people would rarely see on her gorgeous face. And Aiden knew—it was for him, that smile and that final wink.

"Oh... my wife, sorry to intrude. My clothes are dirtied from training... I brought Aiden, your favorite servant." He voiced, seeing her smile.

A bit of pride flaring in his mind, he felt her smile was because of him.

Clap, clap.

Augustus clapped his hands as he entered the dressing room. The maids came near—maids who were familiar with Aiden, or perhaps more familiar with his golden coins—as they undressed Augustus.

Sneaking glances at him, glances which Catherine didn’t like that much.

"My lady..." Augustus voiced, looking at himself in the mirror, smiling at his own majesty. "I know you don’t want our talent, Aiden, to be knighted." He lamented.

"But please, he is worthy. Show him the papers. He is literate enough, unlike other servants." He voiced, looking down at the maids. They all looked down, unable to retort—perhaps in shame or perhaps in fear. They slowly plucked away his clothing.

Aiden saw the angry gaze of Catherine as he walked to her, sitting beside her.

"Yes, Lady Viscountess, I would be honored. But literate I may be, these papers are complicated. I might need her ladyship’s help." Aiden voiced, his hand now moving on her thick thighs, her purple tight gown becoming tighter.

"Y... yes, of course. Aiden, here are the papers." Catherine replied, feeling his touch on her ample thighs, his warm touch with his grin. His grin reining with mischief and only mischief.
