Chapter 891: Chapter 891: Counterattack
Just as Li Xinyue left Li Feng’s presidential suite, a figure slipped into Li Feng’s room, listening to the sound of running water in the bathroom.
The intruder walked into the bedroom and pulled out a handgun from behind.
The sound of water in the bathroom stopped.
Clatter.
As the bathroom door was pulled open, the person hiding at the side of the bathroom door sprang out, raising the gun to aim directly inside.
A towel was thrown out directly.
The intruder, seeing the towel covering them, instinctively pulled the trigger, and the bullet pierced through the towel.
Li Feng reached out and grabbed the gun, and the intruder looked up at the shirtless Li Feng, gritted their teeth, abandoned the gun, and struck towards Li Feng’s chin with an elbow.
Li Feng let out a light grunt, grabbed the intruder’s elbow, and with a force like a fierce tiger descending a mountain, pushed the intruder back with unstoppable momentum.
Opposite the bathroom was the large bed in the bedroom.
The assassin kept retreating, stumbling into the edge of the bed, and as their lower body was blocked, Li Feng did not stop. Suddenly, the assassin fell backward onto the large bed, and Li Feng followed, pouncing like a hungry tiger.
The assassin regained their senses and raised their fist to counterattack.
Li Feng lifted his hand, seized the other’s wrist, and pressed it against the headboard. The assassin struggled desperately but couldn’t break free from Li Feng’s control.
"Let go of me."
Li Feng looked down at the subdued assassin, and it was Annie, who had a blood feud with Li Feng.
Li Feng leaned down, wickedly smiling at Annie.
"Ha, you came to kill me and still want me to let you go?"
"Did you misunderstand something?"
Annie looked up at Li Feng, biting her lips. "Then just kill me."
Li Feng looked at the fiery-tempered Annie. "I neither want to let you go nor kill you."
Annie was momentarily stunned and then, realizing something, blushed as she looked at Li Feng.
"You dare touch me."
Li Feng coldly laughed.
"Why are you women so confident, thinking that men would leave the meat delivered right to their mouths?"
Li Feng looked at Annie.
Do they really think Li Feng is an eunuch?
One came before, and now another one.
This is repeatedly testing me.
"You...!"
Time passed, its duration unknown.
Li Feng lit a cigarette, and Annie, with tears in her eyes, sat up and turned to Li Feng. "I swear, I will tear you to pieces."
Li Feng looked at the cursing, swearing Annie.
"I never stopped you from killing me, but don’t blame me for not warning you; there are consequences for failing to kill me."
As Annie listened to Li Feng’s words, she blushed, evidently already acquainted with Li Feng’s ’consequences.’
"You’re a bastard; I will definitely cut you down and make you an eunuch."
Li Feng chuckled, his gaze sweeping over Annie’s silky skin. Annie shouldn’t have come to eliminate him. If she really wanted him dead, she wouldn’t have come personally or appeared before him with just a handgun.
"You didn’t come here just to make me an eunuch, did you?"
Annie pulled up the sheets to cover her essentials, speaking coldly. "You bought those diamonds."
"Why?"
Annie glared at Li Feng. She had planned to take action tonight, but Li Feng ruined it, with the pre-arrival of police making her abandon her previous plans.
Li Feng exhaled a smoke ring, looked up at Annie’s gaze on him.
"Asking why means you’re too stupid."
Hearing Li Feng calling her stupid, Annie was instantly infuriated. "I’m stupid?"
Li Feng sneered.
"Aren’t you stupid? You thought that by learning some thirty-six stratagems and diverting attention to move most of the police to the neighboring city, you’d succeed."
"Do you really think the Oppenheimer family is a pushover?"
Li Feng reprimanded her.
Annie felt indignant at Li Feng’s scolding and glared at him. "I’ve already found out how many trump cards the Oppenheimer family has, so I don’t need you to teach me."
"Besides, my plan this time was very thorough, and you were the one who ruined it."
"Ha, is your plan not just a paper strategy? If it were so perfect, it wouldn’t have failed because of me. Your so-called plan had zero tolerance for errors."
"Moreover, you think that just because you’re close to Owen, you’ve figured out everything about the opponent. If so, all I can say is you are really naive."
Seeing Li Feng’s disdainful eyes, Annie was even more furious.
"Fine, I’d love to hear your insights."
Li Feng curled his lips. "Are you trying to provoke me? You seem to have forgotten you were once just my captive."
"Though I must admit you’re much improved, you’re still far from good enough, and you should know that when I take action, I never come back empty-handed. We can let the kidnapping go, but those diamonds serve as my appearance fee."
"As for you, go back to where you came from, and don’t be foolishly content counting money for others."
Annie, unable to contain her anger at Li Feng’s reprimands, lunged at him and viciously bit his arm.
Li Feng didn’t even flinch as Annie drew blood to vent her rage, only releasing after venting.
"I can let you go, but tell me why; otherwise, I won’t rest until I get both these diamonds and your life."
Annie’s eyes flashed with a fierce glint; she was no longer the ivory-tower college student from three years ago.
Li Feng looked at Annie calmly.
"Do you still want to challenge me?"
"Yes, I really want to know if you’re as formidable as the legends say."
Annie’s eyes were filled with determination. She owed all her progress to this man in front of her, and she regarded Li Feng as her goal.
The goal to pursue, the target of revenge.
Annie spoke coldly, straightening up and straddling Li Feng, and to his astonishment, initiated a counterattack.
Li Feng sucked in a cold breath.
Seeing Annie’s provocative expression, he retaliated without hesitation; if the tiger never roars, do you think it’s a sick cat?
The sun was already high in the sky.
Annie got dressed and looked coldly at Li Feng. "When we meet again, I will kill you." With that, she turned away coldly.
