Chapter 951: Chapter 951: I’ve Got a Job for You
An Fang looked at the people present, rolling his eyes. He must be the only commoner here.
Boring.
Zhu Jun glared at An Fang, then turned to Li Feng.
"Let’s proceed as we discussed earlier. I’ll handle the overseas setup with Yang Fan, and you guys focus on Yan Country. Let’s try to get things rolling soon."
"Of course, let’s keep it low-key. We’re not in it for fame. Making money quietly is the real deal."
"Brother-in-law, what about me?"
"You just keep eating, drinking, and having fun. Do whatever you want, just stay away from the group matters."
Zhu Jun said.
He knew his brother-in-law all too well. He excelled at partying, but when it came to serious work, he was clueless, a classic case of more harm than good.
There was no way Zhu Jun would let him handle anything significant; it would only cause trouble.
The others laughed, fully agreeing with this decision.
"Brother-in-law, my sister asked me to do something with you, and this is how you treat me? I’m going to tell her when I get back."
An Fang said indignantly.
"Stop making a fuss. I’d be grateful if you don’t cause trouble."
Li Feng looked at the defiant An Fang: "Actually, I have something I’d like you to help with. Interested in considering it?"
Before An Fang could speak, Zhu Jun interrupted: "Li Feng, this guy isn’t capable. He’s the typical more harm than good. Don’t let my relationship sway you into involving him."
"Brother-in-law, how could you say that about your own brother-in-law?"
"Was I wrong?"
An Fang pouted: "I’m not exactly turning over a new leaf here."
"Zhu Jun, for this task, your brother-in-law is the only one who can handle it." Li Feng said with a smile.
"Really?"
An Fang’s eyes lit up, looking at Li Feng. Finally, someone who understood him. He was determined to prove everyone wrong.
"Just tell me what you want me to do. As long as it’s not murder or arson, I assure you I’ll get it done perfectly."
An Fang patted his chest.
"Of course, we can’t ask you to do anything illegal. Earlier at the hotel, I noticed you don’t seem to get along with Liu Chengfeng."
"Hmm, saying we don’t get along is an understatement."
An Fang scoffed: "I’ve got a deep-seated hatred for him. This guy even stole my woman. Not only did he steal her, but he also flaunted it shamelessly in front of me and called me useless."
Thinking of Liu Chengfeng made An Fang grit his teeth.
The three major grudges in life: hatred towards parents’ enemies, the shame of having a wife taken, and humiliation. Liu Chengfeng is responsible for half of these.
Even though she was just one of his many girlfriends, losing even one was still infuriating. It was a blatant slap in the face.
Moreover, not only did Liu Chengfeng steal his girlfriend, but he also dared to publicly humiliate him, calling him a worthless second-generation rich kid who, without his family backing, would live worse than a beggar. At least a beggar knows how to beg.
Suffice it to say, Liu Chengfeng slapped him in the face hard, and he couldn’t retaliate, making the humiliation even more justified.
So, An Fang hated Liu Chengfeng to his core.
Li Feng observed An Fang gritting his teeth: "You saw earlier that I’ve had my run-ins with Liu Chengfeng too, and he’s trying to blacklist me."
"Blacklist? As if he has the guts."
A young man nearby scoffed. The New Century Group was their massive effort, almost risking everything. Anyone who tries to blacklist the New Century Group is picking a fight with them.
"Liu Chengfeng is just a clown. All he relies on is HY Group and the backing of the four great families of Hong Kong."
"Since he wants to play, let’s play with him. But I don’t have time to tangle with him. An Fang, if you’re up for it, help me deal with Liu Chengfeng."
Li Feng continued.
"You want me to help you deal with Liu Chengfeng."
Though he suspected it, hearing Li Feng confirm it left An Fang a bit surprised and hesitant to agree.
After all, dealing with Liu Chengfeng wasn’t easy. If it were, he wouldn’t have repeatedly failed and been humiliated.
Zhu Jun glanced at his brother-in-law, knowing his capabilities. He addressed Li Feng: "You’re asking him to help, but he’s not up to it. If he could handle Liu Chengfeng, Liu wouldn’t have been so arrogant at the hotel."
Li Feng gave a slight smile.
"You just need to step up for me. As for dealing with HY Group and Liu Chengfeng’s HY Entertainment Media, someone else will handle it. Your job is to trample him underfoot and humiliate him mercilessly."
"Reckon you can manage that?"
An Fang looked at Li Feng; "You mean, all I need to do is step up and slap him in the face?"
"Exactly."
Li Feng nodded.
"If you put it like that, I’m quite familiar with it. I’m a professional face-slapper," An Fang said confidently, but thinking about Liu Chengfeng’s cunning ways made him hesitate.
"Li Feng, it’s not that I doubt you, but I’ve dealt with Liu Chengfeng a few times. He’s notorious for being sly and enjoys playing dirty tricks. It’s hard to defend against."
"Don’t worry about that. Just follow my instructions, and I guarantee you’ll slap his face hard."
"Since you’ve put it that way, it’d seem hypocritical if I refuse. Alright, I’ll help you with this."
An Fang agreed cheerfully.
"Then let’s adjourn the meeting."
Zhu Jun didn’t leave immediately but turned back to Li Feng: "Li Feng, don’t screw over this guy. He’s a bit dumb, but if anything happens to him, my home would be in chaos."
"I won’t let your brother-in-law be at a disadvantage, rest assured."
"Alright then, I’ll leave him in your hands. I’ll start packing and head to Lijia State tomorrow."
Zhu Jun added this extra comment as a precaution. He knew Li Feng’s capabilities but wanted Li Feng to look out for his brother-in-law.
"I’ll send someone to go with you. There will be people responsible for your security there."
"Okay!"
After the shareholder meeting adjourned, Zhu Jun left directly with a few shareholders. Their status meant they couldn’t appear in public too often. Even with responsibilities, they mostly worked behind the scenes.
"Li Feng."
After seeing off Zhu Jun and the others, Wang Jin’er, Jiang Linda, and Su Yuqing quickly stopped him.
"What’s up?"
"Was the online thing your doing?"
Wang Jin’er looked at Li Feng.
"Yeah."
Li Feng nodded.
"Was it really you? You didn’t hire hackers, did you? That’s kind of illegal, you know."
