"Radiance..."
Lin Feng held the book, staring at the cover for a long time. Besides the symbols, these were the only two characters he could understand.
They were not Chinese characters, nor any known script from Blue Star. Lin Feng spent a considerable time analyzing them with his superhuman brain, finally deciphering these two words.
A Book of Radiance Magic? And judging from its previous performance, it seemed he had stumbled upon a treasure.
A little excited, Lin Feng eagerly opened the cover of the Book of Radiance Magic, wanting to see its contents.
In an instant, a dazzling light, a fusion of white and gold, erupted from the book, illuminating the entire library like a sun.
Countless golden pictograms and symbols danced in the air, filling the space around Lin Feng. White and gold light flickered alternately, a truly spectacular sight.
Lin Feng marveled at the scene before him. Setting aside everything else, the special effects alone made him feel that the knowledge contained within this book was immeasurably powerful.
The light converged into a vortex that hovered above Lin Feng's forehead. Lin Feng's eyes once again glowed with a white light as he began to absorb the knowledge from the Book of Radiance Magic.
The dark magic books nearby huddled together, shrieking and jumping, yet daring not to approach.
The spells and theories recorded in the Book of Radiance Magic were profound yet incredibly easy to understand.
Ten minutes later, Lin Feng was still engrossed in the magic book.
He was somewhat astonished that a magic book that didn't appear particularly thick could contain so much content.
Books of similar thickness, Lin Feng had absorbed their knowledge into his brain in mere seconds.
Half an hour later, Lin Feng was still reading.
An hour later...
Lin Feng exited the reading mode with a bewildered expression, the white light in his eyes suddenly receding.
The thick magic book had only been flipped through… three pages???
What the...
Amazing!
He hadn't expected there to be such an anomaly in the library.
The text on the pages didn't seem extensive, and they were all symbols Lin Feng couldn't comprehend.
But when they manifested as knowledge, each page contained a massive amount of magical theory and practical notes. Thus, even though Lin Feng couldn't read the symbols, he could understand the meaning.
He didn't know who had recorded these notes, but the style suggested it wasn't a single person.
It seemed the author of this magic book was likely not a single individual either.
Lin Feng recalled the knowledge absorbed into his mind over the past hour.
The Aurora Spell, capable of illuminating an entire planet; the Nameless Spell, which could instantly restore full health from the brink of death.
Positive-direction elements, defensive spells, offensive spells.
Lin Feng reminisced and began to attempt casting these spells.
The books scattered on the floor were also promptly returned to their original places by Lin Feng.
The Book of Radiance Magic, if nothing else, certainly had visually appealing effects. Every time Lin Feng cast a spell, it was accompanied by white or golden light.
Furthermore, during the casting, the characteristics of radiance brought a sense of sanctity, comfort, and joy.
After playing around for a while, Lin Feng finally tapped his finger in the air, and a forest deer, its body entwined with white light, appeared before him.
It was like a pure, young deer drinking from a riverbank in a deep forest, as seen in a CGI movie. Every movement was filled with an ethereal quality.
Lin Feng even saw curiosity in its eyes.
This was a defensive spell. It would automatically dispel darkness and block enemy attacks.
Lin Feng touched his chin curiously, feeling a sense of familiarity.
After thinking for a long time, Lin Feng clapped his hands.
"Good heavens, no wonder I felt like I'd wandered onto the wrong set, there's this inexplicable sense of familiarity."
"Why does this thing look like Harry's Patronus Charm from Harry Potter?"
Lin Feng had watched all the Harry Potter movies, including Fantastic Beasts.
And at his home outside the fourth wall, he even collected a few wands.
He pointed his finger at the deer again. With a cry, the deer suddenly transformed into a shining sword of light.
The defensive spell seamlessly transformed into an offensive spell.
Impressive.
Magic was truly interesting.
He figured that if he were to travel to Hogwarts now, the magic he had in his head could stun Dumbledore into dropping his jaw.
If he were given a wand and a robe right now, he could totally guest star as a great wizard at Hogwarts.
As if sensing Lin Feng's thoughts,
the radiant magic book suddenly expelled another ball of light.
A delicate magic wand floated within the ball of light.
This time, Lin Feng was genuinely shocked.
"Holy crap, there's actually a magic wand?"
"You're not… you're not actually going to send me to a magical world, are you?"
Lin Feng chuckled, completely unprepared for the Book of Radiance Magic to contain a wand.
He gently reached out and took the floating wand. The moment it touched his hand, some of the energy within him was uncontrollably drawn out.
As the energy was absorbed by the wand, Lin Feng felt as if the arm holding it had extended, fitting perfectly. The quality was extraordinary!
Lin Feng's eyes blazed with a youthful, almost over-the-top passion. At this moment, he truly felt like he had been transported to a world of magic.
He stood up and quickly swung the wand.
With each tap, a small white deer appeared.
Compared to when he used his finger, the manifestations were quicker, their forms more solid, and their power greater.
Clearly, the wand had a significant auxiliary effect on Lin Feng's magical abilities.
"Amazing!" Lin Feng was having fun. He stepped forward with his right foot, rapidly swung his arm forward, and thought of spells from Harry Potter.
"Avada Kedavra!"
...
"Crucio!"
...
Nothing happened.
The Book of Radiance Magic seemed to shake humanly, as if amused by Lin Feng's actions.
But at the same time, it conveyed a hint of displeasure.
As if saying, "I'm showing you Radiance Magic, and even giving you a wand, and you're here casting Unforgivable Curses at me?"
Lin Feng awkwardly retracted the wand, scratching the back of his head.
"Alright, maybe I was overthinking things?"
He tried to cast the Unforgivable Curses from Harry Potter, but he couldn't.
Indeed, it was completely different from the magical world of Harry Potter.
Furthermore, Lin Feng sensed that this wand could change its shape at will. He could even make it transform into a ring.
The reason it had appeared in the form of a wand was the result of Lin Feng's will.
"Fine... it's still pretty good."
Lin Feng was quite satisfied. At least, in terms of appearance, he had played the part!
Transforming the wand into a ring and wearing it on his hand, Lin Feng turned his gaze back to the Book of Radiance Magic.
A treasure. This thing, it was likely a divine artifact itself, wasn't it?
The immense knowledge that took him an hour to read only three pages of, and it even contained items like a magic wand.
Leaving it to gather dust in the Lost Bookstore was simply a waste.
Suddenly, Lin Feng made a decision. When he left, this magic book would be a souvenir!
