The scorching, holy aura swept over them before the white light even arrived. In that instant, Forbidden could only curse before being engulfed.
The white light, like a beam cannon, shot straight upwards into the sky.
After piercing through Forbidden, it continued without pause, tearing through the endless darkness of the heavens.
Light then poured down, illuminating the earth once more.
The beam of light still hadn't stopped. It continued through the atmosphere and then vanished into the cosmos.
The distant Star Clan dwelling also witnessed this event.
The beam of white light was too dazzling; even in daylight, it was hard to miss.
"Alert!"
A sharp, feminine cry echoed through the residential area. Several symbiote squads converged from all directions. Once assembled into a formation, they anxiously watched the direction from which the white light had appeared.
Inside the house, Natasha and Xi Xing had already rushed out.
"I'll go check the situation!" Natasha said with a grave expression.
This seemed to be the first anomaly in the Star Clan's history. If it was dangerous, it needed to be dealt with immediately.
"I'll go with you!" Xi Xing was also worried.
The Star Clan had only just begun; there couldn't be any mistakes.
Natasha shook her head. "You stay here and hold the fort!"

From their earlier conversation and exchange of insults, both books had resided in the Lost Bookstore for over a thousand years. How could she be a child?
Her current state must be due to some unknown reason!
As Lin Feng pondered, Brilliance struggled to her feet.
She didn't look at Lin Feng, but instead staggered towards the Forbidden magic book. A golden longsword had inexplicably appeared in her hand, looking as if she intended to deliver a final blow to Forbidden.
Lin Feng's brow twitched. This wouldn't do!
This book was now his treasure. He hadn't even studied its dark magic yet.
With a blink, Lin Feng picked up the Forbidden magic book from the ground.
Up close, the book was even more damaged.
Lin Feng winced. He had been careless. He should have protected the Forbidden magic book earlier. He wondered if it could still be restored in this state.
"Move aside!"
Brilliance's weak voice came from behind Lin Feng.
That last move had drained almost all of her energy. From now on, she would have to replenish it slowly.
"Let me finish her, or she'll recover!" Brilliance continued.
Recover? Hearing those words, Lin Feng breathed a sigh of relief. Yes, as expected of a sentient magic book, it could recover.
Lin Feng turned back and sighed. "That won't do. I haven't read what's written inside yet…"
Brilliance was startled.
"That's the Forbidden magic book! You can't learn from it."
"What do you want to see? I have everything. Let me finish her first!"
Brilliance, mistaking Lin Feng for someone unaware of the book's dark nature, tried to persuade him.
Aside from her hostility towards Forbidden, Brilliance seemed surprisingly polite.
Lin Feng chuckled and directly stored the Forbidden magic book into his spatial inventory.
"I want to see yours, and I want to see hers. I'm very sorry, but you can't kill her for now!"
Brilliance froze, then became indignant. She shakily raised a finger and pointed at Lin Feng.

As Brilliance spoke, intending to say more.
But in the next second, her eyes rolled back, and she collapsed straight onto the ground. Her form contorted, transforming back into the Brilliance magic book, emitting a white glow.

Lin Feng smirked. This must mean her energy was completely depleted. She couldn't even maintain human form anymore.
He stepped forward and put the Brilliance magic book into another spatial dimension. Now she couldn't say anything.
