Days turned into weeks, and the black hole continued its relentless movement.
A week later, the black hole had grown to the size of a car.
For that entire week, Lin Feng had remained invisible, drifting around the outskirts of Ninikara's galaxy.
With his enhanced perception, he continuously detected newly arriving life forms within the star system.
Their numbers had multiplied severalfold, forming dozens of groups.
It was evident they were all here for the Cosmic Cube.
These factions comprised all sorts of peculiar races, each radiating an astonishingly potent killing intent.
Their strength varied considerably, some powerful, others weak.
Lin Feng also spotted the Guardians of the Galaxy, led by Rocket.
However, he made no move to greet them.
Aside from Rocket, he had only met the others once and wasn't particularly familiar with them.
Were even the Ravagers and the Nova Corps joining the fray?
He glanced again at the initial dozen or so factions that had arrived first.
Compared to them, the Ravagers and the Nova Corps were mere cannon fodder.
He wondered how they had learned about the Cosmic Cube.
Such a treasure hunt was not something they could possibly participate in.
Lin Feng surveyed the area and, naturally, spotted Hela.
Riding a white wolf, her tattered battle suit made her appear rather disheveled.
Just as old Odin had said, Hela had indeed come to seek the Cosmic Cube.
Lin Feng paid no mind to the later arrivals.
With their combined combat power, they wouldn't even stand a chance against him.
The only ones who required Lin Feng's attention were.
those several colossal beings clad in armor.
They were among the first factions to arrive.
Their peculiar armor piqued Lin Feng's curiosity.
Under his X-ray vision, their armor was empty.
However, after a moment of thought, Lin Feng found similar attire in his memory, pinpointing their race.
The Celestials, and only three members had come...
Lin Feng murmured.
Whether it was due to their armor or some special abilities, Lin Feng couldn't discern the strength of these three Celestial members.
They didn't seem like the Celestials from the movies or comics.
Even if the comic book Celestials had arrived, Lin Feng would have been able to assess them with relative accuracy.
There was also another colossal creature that caught Lin Feng's attention.
It was a feline-like being.
Its immense size and black fur made it as large as a truck.
Were it not for its amber eyes, it would have been almost impossible to spot in the dark expanse of space.
The reason Lin Feng noticed this black cat was.
that when he looked at it, the cat actually spotted him and met his gaze.
However, sensing no hostility from Lin Feng, the cat averted its eyes and continued to stare at the steadily rotating black hole.
Most intriguing.
Lin Feng withdrew his gaze.
These dozens of factions were all gathered around the black hole.
Among them, two factions had already clashed, resulting in conflict.
Their spacecrafts firing upon each other naturally drew the attention of other factions.
But everyone maintained a detached stance, passively observing the battle.
Some even took pleasure in striking from the shadows.
After all, fewer rivals meant a greater chance of obtaining the treasure.
...
Another week passed quickly.
The star system now hosted well over a hundred factions.
In their pursuit of the treasure, these factions displayed considerable patience.
Lin Feng did not choose to eliminate them.
He was unsure of the form the Cosmic Cube would ultimately take.
By this point, the small black hole had shrunk to the size of a person.
Perhaps by sparing them, someone might discover a way to manifest the Cube.
He intended to employ the strategy of the mantis stalking the cicada, with the oriole hiding behind.
Lin Feng once again extended his senses.
During these two weeks, he had attempted to locate Section Chief Wang, but to no avail.
After leaving Lin Feng the pager, Section Chief Wang seemed to have vanished from the entire universe.
This left Lin Feng thoroughly perplexed.
His gaze swept out several light-years, and he spotted two more beings engaged in combat.
Lin Feng was no longer surprised by such occurrences.
However, when he saw one of the combatants, his gaze froze.
A form-fitting, scaled battle suit encased a shapely figure.
The scaled suit shimmered with a purple glow.
Two jet-black daggers, their forms indistinguishable, danced continuously.
Her opponent was a robust alien species.
Lin Feng wasn't captivated by the perfectly formed body completely covered by the scaled battle suit.
Rather, this person was an old acquaintance of Lin Feng's.
"Xi Xing?"
Lin Feng's mind was filled with questions.
Why was this succubus proprietress here?
And dressed so...
Lin Feng exclaimed that female fights were indeed far more interesting than male fights!
But Xi Xing's strength... here, she was utterly insignificant cannon fodder.
If any of the powerful factions were to engage in a fight, the mere residual energy could incinerate Xi Xing to ashes.
Why would this succubus be so reckless?
As Lin Feng had anticipated, within the time he was contemplating, Xi Xing had already sustained several cuts.
Her amateurish fighting skills were no match for her opponent.
That opponent was an alien creature clad in black armor, resembling a Predator.
Its head was lizard-like, fierce and terrifying, and it wielded a delicate long saber.
Xi Xing's dual daggers merely sparked against the creature's armor, inflicting no damage whatsoever.
The lizard-man, however, handled her with ease, occasionally adding a new gash to Xi Xing with his great saber.
Seeing Xi Xing on the verge of becoming a bloody mess, yet refusing to flee, struggling valiantly.
Lin Feng rolled his eyes in exasperation, his body moving instantly across several light-years, positioning himself at the center of their battle.
Save her, save her! Who could stand by and watch a beautiful succubus misser lose her life!
Especially one he knew!
The lizard-man showed no surprise at the sudden appearance of a human. Its weapon thrust forward without hesitation.
A clever lizard-man, and an excellent warrior!
It seemed to understand that in a place like this, there were only enemies, no friends!
However, cleverness notwithstanding, encountering Superman was its grave misfortune.
Lin Feng sidestepped the attack, out of respect.
Then, he delivered a palm strike to the lizard-man's forehead.
Before the lizard-man could even let out a scream, it disintegrated into dust.
Leaving behind only a colossal '慘' (tragic) in its place!
Effortlessly dispatching the lizard-man, Lin Feng turned to Xi Xing, his expression peculiar as he asked,
"What's gotten into you, why are you here?"
