Seeing Lin Feng arrive, Tony waved and greeted, "Lin!"
That enthusiastic vibe.
Compared to Tony, Little Pepper Potts was much more reserved, smiling and nodding, calling him Mr. Lin Feng, as a greeting.
Her relationship with Lin Feng was neither close nor distant. Due to Lin Feng's identity, abilities, and his connection to Tony Stark, Pepper held him in high regard.
"Brother Lin Feng!"
Little Morgan was more direct, rushing up to hug Lin Feng's legs.
A child's emotions were always very direct.
They didn't have the pretense of adults; if she didn't like someone, she wouldn't pay them any attention!
"Hey there, Little Morgan, how have you been lately?"
Lin Feng reached out and picked up Little Morgan.
"Whoa, you've grown taller?"
As he held her, Lin Feng noticed Little Morgan was quite a bit heavier than last time, suggesting she'd been living a very good life.
Well, his emotional intelligence was quite good; he didn't say she'd gotten fat, but that she'd grown taller!
Little Morgan's eyes sparkled with delight, "Right? Morgan has grown taller!"
"Mom doesn't believe me, she insists I've gotten fat!" she said, casting a wistful glance at Pepper.
Pepper shook her head and chuckled. After all, she was just a child and couldn't quite grasp adult subtlety.
"Since everyone's here, let's go inside and talk!" Tony reminded them.
Lin Feng nodded, not putting Little Morgan down, and walked inside with her in his arms.
Peter Parker followed behind Lin Feng.
He hadn't found an opportunity to speak earlier, and now, looking at Lin Feng ahead, he felt a surge of excitement.
"Su-Superman sir!" Peter's voice faltered.
"Do you remember me?"
"A few years ago, the one who asked for your autograph..."
Peter wasn't sure if Superman would remember him.
At that time, he hadn't had his current abilities and was just an ordinary kid easily overlooked.
Lin Feng, carrying Little Morgan, didn't stop, but turned his head and smiled, looking Peter Parker up and down.
The friendly neighborhood Spider-Man of this era still had a very youthful face.
The Marvel world was fraught with danger; at such a young age, he was already embarking on a path to save the day.
"Of course, I remember. Your name is Peter, right?"
"I also remember we took a photo together back then. I didn't expect you to be so grown up."
Peter nodded excitedly.
Lin Feng's friendly demeanor helped to ease Peter's nervousness.
"Yes, yes, Superman sir."
"After that, I had it printed into a photo."
"You might not know this, but you're my idol! Oh no, I think I said that before."
"What I mean is, Aunt May is also a fan of yours. She was upset that I didn't wait for her to take a photo together."
"Also, Superman sir, could I have another signed photo? Aunt May's birthday is coming up, and I plan to give this as a birthday gift."
"And also, could you write a line of text below the photo?"
"When you were being interviewed, you said 'With great power comes great responsibility.' I've always remembered that!!"
"Even though Superman sir isn't very active now, Superman is my eternal idol."
Lin Feng's smile froze.
He had indeed said that in front of the media.
At the time, he'd said it casually to show off and gain attention and prestige.
While not exactly a dark past, Lin Feng had actually heard this line from a Spider-Man movie.
Now, the protagonist was standing right in front of him, making Lin Feng feel the awkwardness of having his homework copied being discovered.
And now he was being asked to write that exact line on a signed photo – was this some kind of twisted public execution?
Peter noticed Lin Feng's stiff smile and looked confused, then seemed to realize something.
"Oh, oh, I'm so sorry, I got a bit carried away."
Peter realized he had asked for too much and had been talking non-stop, possibly bothering Lin Feng.
Alas, his mouth just wouldn't stop when he got excited.
"It's fine, we have plenty of time to talk later."
"I'll introduce you to someone another day. I think you two will get along well!"
Little Spider indeed had a chatty nature. Lin Feng wondered if he should introduce Deadpool to him.
He could introduce them, but perhaps a few years later.
Deadpool was unrestrained with his words, blurting out anything that came to mind. It wouldn't be good if he corrupted the kid.
The MCU's Spider-Man and Deadpool had no interaction for now.
If these two chatterboxes were put together, they could talk someone to death.
"Okay, Mr. Lin Feng!" Little Spider nodded obediently, but in his heart, he wondered, if someone gets along with me, are they also a superhero?
If Lin Feng knew, he'd probably laugh his head off.
Did Deadpool count as a superhero? Probably. Lin Feng wasn't sure. He was only sure that Deadpool was a super-chatterbox.
As they chatted, the group arrived at the room Tony had booked, and their dinner began.
The soft lighting and delicious food put everyone in a good mood.
They were all acquaintances and existences at the peak of this world. Their conversations ranged from everyday life to the vast universe, and finally to raising children. There wasn't much they couldn't talk about.
Unknowingly, the meal lasted nearly two hours.
But it was a delightful occasion for all.
After the meal, Tony had Happy drive Pepper, Little Morgan, and Peter home.
He then got into Lin Feng's sports car.
Just as Lin Feng was about to drive home, he looked up, confused and exasperated, "What are you doing?"
"Hehehe, let's go for a drink and chat, shall we?"
Teacher Tony extended a late-night invitation, earning Lin Feng a strange look.
"Chat? About what? It's so late, aren't you going home to your wife and kids? What do you want to chat with me about?"
Tony didn't want to spend time with his wife and kids, but Lin Feng wanted to go home to Susan.
However, despite his verbal refusal, Lin Feng started the car and accelerated onto the road.
Lin Feng also enjoyed the night; a quiet night chatting with a friend wasn't so bad.
Before he became Superman, he loved the night. The world became quieter then, allowing Lin Feng, who had no family, to clearly feel his own existence.
Of course, after becoming Superman, he also loved the daytime.
The feeling of his cells being nourished under the sun was very comfortable...
Tony navigated, and Lin Feng drove.
Half an hour later, the two were sitting in a bar.
The bar Tony chose was different from an ordinary one.
There was no loud music or dancing girls here.
The lobby and seating areas were decorated elegantly.
The soft, warm lighting, coupled with light music, was perfect for a slow-paced chat and drink.
And it also served food.
In the East, such quiet places for drinking were called "qingba" (speakeasies or quiet bars).
