Chapter 202 Are You a Superman Fan Too?

"Right, I won't be staying long this time either," Lin Feng said to Tony. "I'll be leaving again in a few days."

Having obtained a plethora of cosmic coordinates from Deadpool, Lin Feng planned to investigate. He intended to capture a couple of figures in black robes for interrogation. However, if Lin Feng were to travel to another universe, the communicator he gave Tony would be useless, as it only worked within the Marvel universe.

"The communicator I gave you probably won't be able to reach me," he continued. "If anything really goes wrong, use the distress beacon I gave you instead!"

Tony nodded, not asking further questions. He knew Lin Feng enjoyed being a cosmic wanderer, going wherever he pleased. Still, the distress beacon Lin Feng provided was indeed a life-saving item. Thinking about it, he hadn't given out many. Little Raccoon, Tony, Susan, and others all had one. The only one not on Blue Star was in the hands of Xi Xing. That would be the owner of the waystation bar, the kind who made your heart skip a beat at first sight.

Thinking of Xi Xing, Lin Feng's mind drifted to her tail. Little did Lin Feng know that Xi Xing was no longer in the Marvel universe…

Xi Xing was currently in a brightly lit changing room, looking dejected as she changed her clothes. Outside the room, several men and women in full gear were on standby. Xi Xing was still dressing in a form-fitting outfit that accentuated her perfect figure. It looked like combat armor. She let her tail extend from the specially designed opening and sighed. She wondered how long such days would continue.

Just as she was lost in thought, a small black shadow leaped out, accompanied by tiny, bell-like hands, and grabbed her tail!

"Xi Xing!"

A yellow-skinned girl with a black ponytail appeared in the changing room, unceremoniously grabbing Xi Xing's tail and playfully patting it.

"Ah!"

A blush crept onto Xi Xing's cheeks. Having her tail grabbed put her in a peculiar state, as if her strength had been drained. After finally managing to retrieve her tail, Xi Xing shot a glare at the newcomer. "Ling Lu, I've told you, don't grab my tail!"

The girl called Ling Lu chuckled, "It feels nice! It's not like I'll lose a piece of flesh by grabbing it!" Ling Lu was also in combat attire, with two small daggers at her waist, resembling an assassin.

"Hey, you have a new bracelet?" Ling Lu noticed Xi Xing's left wrist. There was a metal piece shaped like a diamond outline. It hadn't been there during their last fight.

Upon hearing this, Xi Xing's face flushed again. It was a gift from that seemingly sunny young man. She had intended to discard it, thinking there would be no further interaction. However, it felt impolite to throw away something someone had given her. For some reason, Xi Xing inexplicably found a bracelet and attached it to the metal piece. Her woman's intuition told her this metal piece might be useful later on. At least, that's what she told herself.

"Can I see it?" Ling Lu pointed curiously at the bracelet. She knew Xi Xing generally disliked wearing accessories and had never seen her adorned with jewelry. Now, she was wearing a strange metal bracelet, piquing Ling Lu's curiosity. It didn't look particularly exquisite, so why was Xi Xing wearing it?

Without much thought, Xi Xing took off the bracelet and handed it to Ling Lu. Among the combat team, she had the closest relationship with Ling Lu. Ling Lu had been helping her look after her 10-year-old sister. Without Ling Lu's help, her sister might have perished on an alien planet last time. It was a simple request to look at the bracelet, so Xi Xing naturally wouldn't refuse.

Ling Lu took the bracelet and examined it curiously. She immediately spotted the large Superman logo on it. No wonder the outer frame looked familiar. Ling Lu's eyes twinkled, and she smiled, "You like Superman too?"

Xi Xing, putting on her outer armor, asked in confusion, "Superman? What's that?"

This statement startled Ling Lu. She held up the bracelet and asked, "No way! You're wearing the Superman symbol and you don't know what Superman is?"

"You mean this! A customer gave it to me!" Xi Xing replied truthfully. "He drank my wine and didn't pay, so he used this as payment." She considered him a customer since he had patronized her bar a few times.

However, Ling Lu didn't see it that way. A customer? Paying with a bracelet? This smelled like gossip! Ling Lu's eyes gleamed with a gossipy light, and she leaned closer to Xi Xing, asking with great interest, "Customer? Male or female?"

Xi Xing was somewhat exasperated by Ling Lu's behavior. *Why are you so interested in this sort of thing?* "...Male," she replied.

"Whoa, male?!"

"Is it a token of affection?!" Ling Lu's eyes widened with even more curiosity, and her gaze turned teasing as she taunted, "Our succubus lady is in love?"

Xi Xing rolled her eyes again. "I already told you, I'm not a succubus! And this is just his compensation for the wine!" *Does this teammate of mine have a crush on someone?*

Ling Lu was completely unconvinced by her explanation. "I don't believe it! You'd wear something a customer gave you? You refused the necklace Steven gave you last time! There's definitely something going on!"

Xi Xing felt helpless. *Why is she bringing up Steven?* That brute, with his alien-looking face, was nowhere near her good graces. "I'm telling the truth. Believe it or not!"

Ling Lu, whose main hobby was gossip, seemed persistent. Sensing that Ling Lu would continue to pester her, Xi Xing decided to change the subject. "Oh right, I just heard you say this symbol is Superman. Can you tell me what it means?"

This tactic worked perfectly, immediately redirecting Ling Lu's single-core processor brain.

"Superman!" Ling Lu's face lit up with longing. He was such a mythical and powerful being. "Don't you have Superman comics or movies in your world?!" Ling Lu asked curiously, but then quickly dismissed her own question. "No, that's not right. If you didn't, how would this thing appear?"

Xi Xing hesitated for a moment and shook her head. "I don't know. You know, I don't really watch things like that..." Lin Feng's metal piece was something Xi Xing hadn't paid much attention to, other than assuming it was a decorative item. But now that Ling Lu recognized it, Xi Xing felt a pang of curiosity.
