Lottelin stared intently at the image, committing every detail of the attire to memory.
This was the first task assigned by the leader, and Lottelin was determined not to botch it.
After taking it all in, Lottelin nodded and said, "I've noted it down, but in my previous career as a bounty hunter, I never encountered anyone dressed like this."
"Perhaps I just didn't pay attention."
After all, in this universe, it was common for people to disguise themselves and avoid revealing their true identities.
Lottelin wouldn't deliberately focus on what kind of robes people wore.
Lin Feng understood this and didn't feel disappointed.
"What happened before is irrelevant. From now on, if you find any information about them, report it to me promptly."
"Are they enemies of the leader?" Lottelin couldn't help but ask.
Immediately, she instinctively covered her mouth, feeling as though she might have overstepped.
However, Lin Feng wasn't angered. He explained, "It's more than just simple enemies."
"Those individuals are an organization that aims to destroy the universe."
"If they aren't completely eradicated, they will eventually bring disaster upon the cosmos."
Lottelin was somewhat aghast.
"Destroy the universe? Why would they do such a thing?"
Lin Feng shrugged.
"Who knows? Perhaps the truth will only surface when I finally capture their boss."
"In any case, don't ask too many questions. Remember to prioritize collecting intel on them!"
Lottelin nodded solemnly, "I understand!"
Her obedience pleased Lin Feng greatly.
He had offered an explanation to prepare Lottelin mentally and to ensure she took the matter seriously and didn't just go through the motions.
"Here, I'll give you something. It can track the movements of those in black robes within a certain range, and more importantly, it can save your life at critical moments!"
Since she was so compliant, Lin Feng didn't mind offering a little incentive.
He extended his hand, and a beautiful white wand materialized out of thin air in his grasp.
Creation!
Lottelin watched clearly as the wand appeared without any spatial technology involved, meaning Lin Feng had likely conjured it himself.
"This is for you." Lin Feng handed the conjured wand to Lottelin.
The design of the wand was somewhat similar to the one Lin Feng held.
However, this wand was Lin Feng's modified version.
It contained a multitude of spells. All it required was an input of energy and the utterance of the corresponding incantation for the wand to unleash the desired magic.
This thing, if seen by someone from a neighboring realm, would make even a squib drool with envy.
"I'll teach you how to use it!" Lin Feng said.
The spells within the wand were all ones he had learned recently.
This included spells to cleave objects, destructive spells akin to Avada Kedavra, and tracking spells to locate those in black robes, among others.
After explaining the usage to Lottelin, Lin Feng emphasized, "You must remember the incantations clearly. Never cast the wrong spell."
"The power of the spells depends on the amount of energy you channel into it."
"It's best to keep the wand close to your person. I've also stored an additional protective charm within it, which will activate automatically when you're in danger."
Lottelin nodded repeatedly, gripping the small wooden stick tightly. She now knew it was called a wand.
With this item, Lottelin's combat prowess and defensive capabilities would skyrocket.
"One last thing," Lin Feng continued to elaborate on the wand's functions.
"The protective charm has enough energy for three uses."
"And besides the protective charm, I've also stored two offensive spells that do not require your own energy supply."
"You can also cast them by simply uttering the incantation."
"However, be warned, the power of these spells is terrifying, capable of destroying a small planet. Do not use them lightly!"
Lottelin's bright, expressive eyes widened as she nodded continuously.
Lin Feng continued, "Remember the incantation clearly. It is: All Things Perish!"
Lottelin solemnly echoed, "I remember. The incantation is All Things Perish!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Lottelin felt the wand she was holding begin to heat up.
???
This was not good! A sudden sense of foreboding washed over her.
Holy crap!
In the next second, a myriad of lights converged at the tip of the wand, erupting outward with a tremendous force.
*Boom!*
The unfortunate ceiling of the small room vanished in an instant.
From the tip of the diminutive wand, a massive beam of light surged forth, piercing the roof and shooting directly into the sky.
In less than a second, it passed through the transitional atmosphere and into space!
The sheer power of it left Lottelin stunned.
This was destructive power visible to the naked eye!
She had initially thought Lin Feng might have been exaggerating, but now...
She estimated that half the inhabitants of the transitional station could likely see this thick beam of light ascending into the heavens.
And the subsequent tremor that rippled through the entire transitional station...
Oh dear...
Lin Feng also stared blankly at the disappearing beam of light.
He had absolutely not anticipated Lottelin doing something like this.
Watching the beam, he couldn't help but wonder if the activation conditions were too simple...
Fortunately, Lottelin had held the wand upright.
If this blast had been directed at the ground, the transitional station would likely have ceased to exist.
"Give it here!"
Lin Feng snatched the wand back and, with a lingering sense of dread, added a safeguard to the All Things Perish incantation.
He modified it to function like the other spells, requiring an input of energy for guidance and the utterance of the incantation before activation.
Lottelin stared dumbfounded at the wand Lin Feng had taken back, her expression dazed, still processing what had happened.
She probably hadn't expected herself to pull off such a stunt.
Merely uttering four words had nearly obliterated the transitional station.
Now, she finally understood why this offensive spell was named All Things Perish.
Seriously, who could withstand this if they were in front of it! Everyone would perish!
Once Lottelin regained her senses, she too felt a chill of fear.
"Here, I've added another layer of protection. From now on, you'll need to channel energy and speak this incantation for it to take effect."
After making the modifications and confirming there were no issues, Lin Feng returned the wand to Lottelin.
All Things Perish was different from other spells. For the other spells, the damage was dealt by Lottelin's own energy.
However, All Things Perish used energy to activate the spell, and the energy used was stored by Lin Feng.
There was no other way; even ten Lottelins standing together, if drained dry, wouldn't possess enough energy to unleash this single All Things Perish spell on their own.
"I... I understand... I'll be careful!"
Lottelin swallowed, carefully taking back the wand.
This time, she held it with extreme caution and cherishing it even more.
This was a truly remarkable treasure!
With this wand alone, Lottelin's trust in Lin Feng had increased tenfold.
To put it bluntly, even a child wielding this wand could destroy a small planet.
That is, assuming the child knew how to channel energy...
