Chapter 53 Supercar, and the Brat

Skye grinned, pointing at the sports car. "How about it? Doesn't it suit you?"

Lin Feng nodded subconsciously.

Even though the car was infused with elements of Superman's symbols, the integration was so perfect it wasn't tacky. Instead, it made the black Aventador exude an even greater sense of speed and power.

He had to admit, Lin Feng quite liked this car.

"This car must have been custom-made by some rich tycoon, right?" Lin Feng asked.

This kind of paint job probably wasn't even on the option list.

As for used cars, they'd likely appear in dealerships, not direct sales outlets. It was probably custom-made or modified by some wealthy individual.

Skye nodded. "You guessed right!"

"This car was originally custom-ordered at a high price by a second-generation rich kid."

"He only paid the deposit."

"A few days ago, before the car even arrived, his family ran into some trouble!"

"Apparently, his ex-wife made off with all the money in his accounts."

"Now he's busy selling off his assets to pay off debts!"

Hearing Skye's explanation, Lin Feng nodded. It was just as he'd thought. As long as it wasn't a used car, it was fine. Stark's annual dividend had arrived a while ago. He didn't want to buy a used car!

"Swipe the card!"

Lin Feng generously took out his bank card. If he liked it, he'd buy it!

"Alright, boss, over here..."

Skye cheerfully led Lin Feng to the payment counter. The bankruptcy of that rich kid's father wasn't so simple. Someone had paid Skye a hefty sum to investigate the matter. She just hadn't told Lin Feng about it.

This car cost over 40% more than the standard model. The interior and exterior customizations, along with some optional accessories, were all basically top-of-the-line. But Lin Feng didn't care; he wasn't short on cash.

He swiped his card, paid, registered the vehicle, and went through the process. A temporary license plate was affixed to the car. Skye mentioned that the permanent plates would be mailed to his villa tomorrow. Lin Feng didn't dwell on it, as long as he could drive the car away today.

After less than an hour for all the paperwork, amidst the resentful and jealous gaze of the short-haired salesperson, Lin Feng drove away...

The performance of this LP700-4 was far superior to his previous R8. Lin Feng drove the car to a race track, paid the track fee, and wanted to experience the thrill of this "big bull." He floored the accelerator.

The engine immediately let out a ferocious roar. The entire vehicle shot out like an arrow, flying low to the ground like a black lightning bolt on the track. Thanks to his Superman-like reflexes and vision, Lin Feng's control of the vehicle was more precise than any professional racer. There were a few other cars on the track. Lin Feng's black Lamborghini weaved through them like a ghost, constantly overtaking on their left.

"Damn it, where did this lunatic come from?" Seeing Lin Feng take corners without much braking, several drivers broke out in a cold sweat.

After several laps, Lin Feng finally had his fill. He steered the wheel and drifted out of the race track. He was very satisfied with the car's performance. In terms of handling, it was also excellent. The only drawback, he felt, was that the chassis was too stiff. Without his Superman physique, he feared he'd get back pain after driving for too long!

Having thoroughly enjoyed the thrill of speed, Lin Feng drove towards his villa. Although it was exhilarating, it didn't quite match the excitement of his first experience of flying.

By the time he got home, it was already dark. Lin Feng saw the lights on in the villa, likely meaning Susan was back. He had thought Susan might not return tonight due to some business. Parking the car, Lin Feng walked towards the villa.

However, in the next second, he saw a little blonde girl squatting on the lawn, fiddling with something... He took a couple of steps back, confused, and checked the house number on the villa's plaque. It was indeed his villa. Where did this little girl come from? Had she wandered in from next door?

Lin Feng walked over, intending to ask. The blonde girl was holding a small shovel, diligently digging in the dirt, as if burying something.

"Hey there, kiddo!"

Lin Feng walked over, bending down slightly, trying to make his voice as gentle as possible, fearing he might startle her. The sudden voice made the little girl freeze mid-dig. She slowly turned her head, her big eyes staring at Lin Feng. She didn't speak for a long time.

Lin Feng scratched his head. Why wasn't she talking? He'd never been good with children even before his transmigration.

"H-hello?"

The little girl looked Lin Feng up and down, then back again. Finally, she spoke.

"Are you Superman?" her clear childish voice asked directly.

"Huh?" Lin Feng was even more bewildered.

"Are you looking for Superman, little one?"

The little girl nodded and repeated, "Are you Superman?"

Lin Feng instinctively looked around, not seeing any parents. After a moment's hesitation, he found himself denying it. "I'm not Superman."

"Can you tell me why you're looking for Superman?"

The little girl didn't answer Lin Feng's question. Having received a negative reply, she instantly became wary. With a turn, she ran straight towards the villa. As she ran, she shouted, "Sister! Sister! There's a bad guy!!"

"Oh, for goodness sake." Lin Feng smacked his forehead, looking pained. "As expected, children are incredibly... What kind of play is this? She must have the wrong house..."

"Where is he? Where's the bad guy?" The villa door opened, and Susan rushed out, looking flustered. She scooped up the little girl, her eyes scanning the surroundings vigilantly. The next second, she saw Lin Feng standing dumbfounded on the lawn and couldn't help but laugh.

"Well, well, the bad guy Elena mentioned, could it be Lin Feng?" "Is it him?" Susan pointed at Lin Feng.

"Yes!" The little girl nodded emphatically, confirming.

Susan chuckled and shook her head. "He's not a bad guy!" With that, Susan, holding the little girl, walked towards Lin Feng. The little girl, clutching Susan's neck, still eyed Lin Feng warily.

"Lin! Welcome back," Susan said with a smile. Lin Feng was still completely confused. He opened his mouth, pointed at the little girl in Susan's arms, and asked, "What's going on?"

"This is Elena, my sister! She's seven years old," Susan explained, bouncing the little girl in her arms. "Elena, say hello to Superman Brother." "You've always wanted to meet Superman, haven't you? He's him..."

"Sister is lying!" Elena clung to Susan's neck, refusing to let go. "Sister isn't lying! He really is Superman!" Susan patiently explained. "He's not! He admitted it himself! He's not Superman!" Elena felt her sister was trying to trick her, thinking she was a child and would easily believe someone pretending to be Superman. But her sister never expected that the person himself admitted it!

Susan shot Lin Feng a strange look. Lin Feng offered an embarrassed smile. "I didn't know she was your sister." "I thought she was a neighbor's child..." Susan felt speechless. She could probably guess how awkward Lin Feng must have felt just now.

"Sister really isn't lying to you!" Susan coaxed Elena. "Think about it, when has Sister ever lied to you?" Little Elena thought for a moment, then decisively exposed Susan. "When I was four! You said you'd buy me a toy when you got home, but you didn't!"

The situation became awkward. Susan's lips twitched, and she was speechless for a long time. Lin Feng managed to hold back his laughter with great effort. After all, she was his girlfriend. He looked at the little girl and came to Susan's rescue. "Elena... right?"

"I really am Superman!" Little Elena eyed Lin Feng suspiciously, insisting, "I don't believe you! You just said you weren't!" "Unless..." Little Elena's eyes gleamed. "Unless you prove it to me!"
