Lin Feng was unsure what weapon to use for the Superman.
However, in some movies or comics before his transmigration, he had seen some weapons used by Superman.
The first, of course, was Superman's sword.
It was said to have been born in the aftermath of the Big Bang and took the form of a sword after the universe took shape.
The hilt bore Superman's S-symbol, and the stronger the connection between Superman and the sword, the greater its power.
In the comics, when Superman, wielding Superman's sword, became nearly invincible, he voluntarily severed his connection with it and hurled it into outer space, believing that no one in the universe should be so powerful.
Lin Feng found this act utterly incomprehensible.
Did people really dislike being too powerful?
It could only be attributed to plot convenience.
Superman's sword, while exceptional, was not something the dwarves of Nidavellir could forge with a couple of hammer blows.
As for the rest, it was mostly armor, such as the Sun Armor or Kryptonite-resistant armor, none of which would be useful to Lin Feng.
There were also some legendary divine artifacts that might suit Lin Feng, but those were also beyond Nidavellir's crafting capabilities.
While Nidavellir could forge divine artifacts, they were only ordinary ones.
The blueprints Lin Feng provided to Eitri were the optimal choices he had devised, combining his thoughts with Nidavellir's abilities.
Of course, being produced by a "dog system," the quality was guaranteed.
The Dwarf King reread the blueprints Lin Feng had given him, deep in thought.
Thor, meanwhile, stared at the blueprints with a peculiar expression. After repeatedly confirming, he turned to Lin Feng and asked,
"Is this... a gun?"
The blueprint depicted a gun, a handgun so weak it was laughable by Earth standards. The internal engraved patterns were what made it incomprehensible to Thor.
The only discernible difference to him was that its size seemed to be slightly larger than a normal Earth handgun.
Lin Feng nodded and replied, "That's right, it's a gun!"
Thor was dumbfounded. It really was a gun?
"Why would you want this thing?"
"There are plenty of these in Midgard!"
Thor was completely bewildered. He could understand if Lin Feng wanted a spear, but a handgun?
For someone as powerful as Lin Feng, not only would conventional firearms be unable to harm him, but even the most advanced thermal weapons in the universe might not be able to inflict damage.
Not to mention whether they could even hit Lin Feng given his ridiculous speed.
"Thor!" The Dwarf King Eitri suddenly interrupted Thor.
"Don't just look at the surface! This thing is not as simple as you think!"
The Dwarf King Eitri waved the blueprint in his hand. Although it had the form of a gun, its internal structure and engravings were extremely intricate and complex.
Even the Dwarf King couldn't immediately decipher the purpose of those complex patterns.
Compared to the "peanut-firing" weapons of Midgard, this was an entirely different object, aside from a superficial resemblance in shape.
"I believe, Your Excellency's weapon, its primary means of attack is to fire energy, isn't it?" Eitri ventured.
"Exactly, well worthy of the King of Nidavellir!" Lin Feng smiled. He himself couldn't understand the patterns the "dog system" had drawn. But Eitri could discern something.
After much deliberation, Lin Feng felt this was the most suitable weapon for him at the moment.
He wanted to forge a weapon capable of bearing the power of the Infinity Stones and firing it.
A gun was the best choice currently, and it would become one of Lin Feng's future ranged attack methods.
It would be more convenient and flexible than heat rays.
His heat rays required him to focus energy in his eyes before firing.
This process naturally required some time for preheating and adjustment, and after being augmented by the Infinity Stones, the preheating time was even longer.
This was evident from Lin Feng's battle with the Chitauri mothership in The Avengers 1.
A gun, on the other hand, was much more convenient – draw and shoot, with the power depending on the magnitude of the energy he instantly outputted.
This was, of course, contingent on the Dwarf King Eitri being able to forge it and successfully enchant it.
"Then, tell me your requirements," the Dwarf King said, setting the blueprint aside and asking Lin Feng about his needs.
Forging this weapon shouldn't be a problem. Now, it was a matter of what additional requirements Lin Feng had.
Lin Feng nodded and replied, "The gun I require, I wish for it to be able to carry the power of the Infinity Stones!"
"I want it to be able to fire energy continuously and at high speed, as fast as possible!"
"Also, I want two of these guns!" Lin Feng held up two fingers.
At these words, Thor and the Dwarf King Eitri exchanged glances.
Good heavens, he was certainly not being modest.
"So, can you forge it?" Lin Feng asked.
The Dwarf King paused, glanced at Thor, and then nodded with some hesitation, "Forging it is not a problem... but..."
He also had concerns. He could forge the high-level items Lin Feng desired.
After all, Lin Feng had provided complete blueprints, and as long as they were meticulously and correctly engraved, it could be crafted.
However, if Lin Feng wanted to continuously and rapidly fire the energy of the Infinity Stones with stability, ordinary metals would not suffice.
Even the best materials he possessed could not bear the energy of the Infinity Stones.
The weapon would essentially be ruined after a few high-frequency outputs.
As if sensing Eitri's concern, Thor produced a large piece of metal from somewhere and handed it over.
"Use Uru metal for the material. The All-Father instructed me to bring this!"
Eitri took the Uru metal with some surprise.
He hadn't expected Thor to be willing to use Uru metal to forge a weapon for Lin Feng.
Uru metal was a mineral from Asgard.
Its yield was not low, but it was certainly not high either.
Only high-ranking warriors in Asgard's combat units were qualified to use weapons alloyed with Uru metal.
Uru metal could be considered extremely precious.
The forging difficulty of Uru metal was also considerable; typically, temperatures as high as those of a neutron star were required to melt it.
Asgard's willingness to forge a weapon for Lin Feng with Uru metal indicated that Lin Feng was a distinguished guest of Asgard.
"As for the enchantment..." Thor pondered for a moment and continued, "After you've forged it, I'll take it back to Asgard for enchantment!"
Given Lin Feng's immense power, Thor worried that ordinary enchantments might not meet Lin Feng's standards.
The Dwarf King Eitri nodded, "I understand. If Uru metal is used for forging, it will fully meet the requirements of Lord Lin Feng."
"I will personally forge this weapon, and it should be completed in about two days."
Since he was a distinguished guest and Uru metal was being used, the Dwarf King Eitri decided to personally undertake the forging of this weapon.
After all, the engraved patterns in the blueprint were demanding, and he feared that his kinsmen might accidentally mess it up.
This was not as simple as creating a mold and pouring molten Uru metal into it.
Upon hearing this, Lin Feng nodded, "Then I will trouble you, Lord Eitri! I will visit again in two days!"
"Three days!" Thor interrupted.
"I need to take it back to Asgard for enchantment! Lin,"
"Three days later, you can come directly to Asgard to find me!"
