In the world Lin Feng transmigrated to, there were also superheroes.
Of course, the term "superheroes" here needed air quotes.
Because the superheroes in this world were basically demons cloaked in the guise of justice.
This world was the TV series: The Boys.
The superheroes here were mostly cultivated through a serum called Compound V.
Take the immensely popular Homelander, for example. He underwent Compound V experiments from infancy.
However, his childhood experiences led to him being extremely arrogant and brutally cruel.
He perfectly embodied the saying, "with great power comes great irresponsibility!"
While ostensibly engaged in disaster relief work, he secretly sacrificed innocent lives for his own benefit, even orchestrating massacres.
He, along with a cadre of Compound V-forged superheroes, belonged to Vought International, all products of Vought's superhuman program.
Speaking of Vought International, one must mention the Seven.
This group of seven was essentially the Vought International's premier superhero team.
Vought International, by crafting positive images of superheroes, amassed fortunes through movies and merchandise.
Their annual revenue reached a staggering one hundred billion US dollars.
And Homelander was the leader of the Seven.
Because Homelander possessed the most formidable abilities, his powers were like a weaker version of Superman's.
Though not as potent as Superman's, he was still strong enough to dominate other superheroes and become their leader.
It's worth mentioning at this point that Vought International was a private enterprise.
Interestingly, people often wondered if the US government didn't regulate this company.
The answer was no.
Firstly, Vought International had complex, hidden ties with high-ranking officials, a fact that was true regardless of whether it was depicted in the show.
Secondly, the superheroes forged by Compound V were not ordinary humans that could be dealt with.
Even someone as powerful as Homelander was unaffected by conventional firearms.
Even the invisible man, who could turn invisible, had skin as hard as diamond.
So tough that even sniper rounds couldn't penetrate it.
Lin Feng stroked his chin, a hint of melancholy in his expression.
Then, he seized the cover of night and shot into the sky at high speed, until he was beyond the sight of ordinary humans.
There, he activated his super hearing, scanning the entire planet in search of Pietro.
While the superheroes of this world posed no threat to Lin Feng, someone of Pietro's caliber was still quite dangerous.
Furthermore, The Boys universe already had a character named A-Train, who possessed a similar speedster superpower to Pietro.
He hoped Pietro hadn't encountered any danger...
However, things did not go as Lin Feng wished.
At this very moment, Pietro and Knife were hiding in an underground pipe.
Both had grim expressions, mingled with unconcealed exhaustion.
If one looked closely, they could also discern anxiety in Pietro's demeanor.
They exchanged silent glances, eating cheap hamburgers.
"Three months. A whole three months!" Pietro sighed, gritting his teeth as he uttered the words.
"Still no way back..."
"I've had enough of being here! I want to go home!!" Pietro wailed, not caring about the filth of the pipe as he collapsed onto the ground.
Three months. Did they know how he had spent these past three months!
Recalling the experiences of the last three months, Pietro felt a bitter pang of regret.
It was a life no human should endure!
Knife, with a blank expression, finished his hamburger and reattached his helmet.
His hoarse voice rang out.
"Before we go back, we must rescue Vector first!"
Pietro looked at Knife, nodding with a mixture of helplessness and certainty.
The man known as Knife was encased in armor, his expression unreadable.
He was one of the superheroes under the intelligence agency, She Who Dares. A former member of the previous dynasty, he had temporarily retired after the team disbanded, only to resurface when the Weather Witch found him.
He was an exceptional soldier himself. His fitted armor enhanced his senses and abilities, and his weapons were two energy swords. His entire ensemble made him an agile and deadly assassin.
Vector was their comrade. He had been transported to this world along with Pietro but was now imprisoned by Vought International.
They had to rescue him!
"Of course, I know we have to save Vector, but..." Pietro weakly slapped the ground with his hand.
"I just... alas... I see no hope..."
Three months had passed since they transmigrated to the world of The Boys, and they still hadn't found a way back.
Not an iota of progress had been made, leaving Pietro without hope.
He had no idea that what he thought was a simple field mission would lead to this predicament.
Previously, under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s tutelage, Pietro had become a relatively competent agent.
He and his sister had relied on each other for years, their sole purpose being revenge.
Now, their enemies were found and vengeance had been exacted. Although the process and outcome deviated significantly from his expectations.
However, after Lin Feng's appearance, his and his sister's lives had improved day by day.
Revenge achieved, and now they had jobs.
But that damned spaceship had transported him to another world.
Pietro was truly astonished! He never knew that such things from science fiction novels could actually happen.
Though, it wasn't entirely surprising, considering superpowers had also materialized before his eyes.
Lost in thought, Pietro fumbled for a toothpick from somewhere and began toying with it in his mouth, attempting to quell his anxiety.
Compared to Pietro, Knife's mental fortitude was clearly superior.
He gripped his sword hilt lightly, his voice filled with determination and conviction.
"When there is no hope, you create it yourself."
"You still have a sister, don't you? Live on and go back to her!"
"Vought International has too many superpowered individuals; a frontal assault won't work!"
"After Vector was captured, the intelligence investigation stalled, but we are not without a chance."
As he spoke, Knife pulled out a phone. Stored within were incriminating evidence of crimes committed by several of Vought's superheroes.
Among them was Homelander, the most powerful.
However, rather than calling them superheroes, Knife preferred to label them superpowered criminals.
Upon transmigrating to this world, the first organization they encountered was Vought International.
The sudden appearance of three unregistered, even unidentifiable, powerful superhumans quickly drew Vought International's attention.
Under the guise of assistance, Vought International lured the trio to their premises and then dropped all pretense.
Homelander subdued the three, nearly succeeding in slicing them up for research.
And thus, the conflict began.
After narrowly escaping with Pietro's help, and through continuous investigation, the trio was horrified by Vought International's actions.
Consequently, the trio was classified as superpowered criminals by Vought International, who, with their considerable influence, issued a warrant for their arrest.
Fortunately, Homelander's powers were not as formidable as Superman's.
In the span of three months, only Vector, during an investigation into Vought International, was apprehended.
Therefore, while searching for a way back, they were also constantly entangled with superheroes dispatched by Vought International.
