Chapter 443: Chapter 443: Detained at the Police Station (1)
"Quinn Thorne?" Anya Forrest wrapped her arms around Shea, blinking her eyes and looking at him blankly: "Who is that?"
Elias Hawthorne’s dark eyes flashed with confusion. Previously, Quinn Thorne couldn’t stay in the room and insisted on going downstairs to wait, just to see Anya Forrest a few minutes earlier. How could Anya not have seen him?
At this moment, Aidan Lynch hurriedly walked in and said, "President Hawthorne, I just received a call from the police station. Young Master Thorne was reported by Miss Forrest for acting like a hooligan and has been detained."
Elias Hawthorne was stunned for a moment, then turned to look at Anya Forrest.
Anya Forrest saw Elias Hawthorne and Aidan Lynch looking at her and felt a bit baffled: "Why are you looking at me?"
Aidan Lynch couldn’t help but say, "The police just told me it was a Miss Anya Forrest who reported and had Young Master Thorne arrested."
"When I got back just now, I did report a hooligan," Anya Forrest suddenly realized. "So that nasty guy was Young Master Thorne? What a surprise that someone like that could be friends with President Hawthorne."
"Miss Forrest..."
Elias Hawthorne raised his hand to stop Aidan Lynch from saying anything further: "Miss Forrest, if Quinn Thorne offended you earlier, I apologize on his behalf."
Anya Forrest’s expression became somewhat better: "President Hawthorne, it’s not your fault; it has nothing to do with you."
Anya Forrest’s attitude was gentle, and she spoke softly, but Elias Hawthorne understood the implied meaning in her words.
She would not forgive Quinn Thorne’s offense.
"President Hawthorne must be busy, I’ll go back to my room to rest now." After greeting Elias Hawthorne, Anya Forrest walked towards her room.
Casper North followed without hesitation, took a few steps, and saw Shea still staring eagerly at Elias Hawthorne. He couldn’t help but feel exasperated, saying, "What’s so interesting about a man with someone else on his mind? Where’s your ambition?"
With that, he pulled the reluctant Shea away.
Baby Hawthorne also wanted to follow without hesitation, but just as he took two steps, the back of his collar was grabbed, and he was lifted up.
Baby Hawthorne kicked his legs in protest, looking at Elias Hawthorne with dissatisfaction, and warned, "Daddy, I’m staying here tonight. Don’t even think about forcing me to leave, or I’ll make sure you know the meaning of regret."
Elias Hawthorne couldn’t help but chuckle coldly at his son’s threat: "Oh really? I’d love to know how you’ll make me regret it."
Baby Hawthorne’s eyes turned, and then he suddenly shouted, "Mommy! Mommy! Daddy is bullying me! He wants to hit me! Come save me!"
Raina North was dealing with matters in the study, and upon hearing Baby Hawthorne’s cries, she immediately dropped her work and rushed out. When she saw Baby Hawthorne being held like that by Elias Hawthorne, she quickly charged forward and took Baby Hawthorne into her arms: "Elias Hawthorne, what’s the point of bullying a child?"
Baby Hawthorne chimed in, "Exactly, Daddy, always picking on me, a little kid, what’s the point?"
Elias Hawthorne felt particularly helpless: "It’s getting late; I need to take Baby home."
"No." Baby Hawthorne wrapped his arms tightly around Raina North: "I want to be with Mommy. Today, I’m not just your son, but collateral. If I really go with you, wouldn’t Mommy be at a huge loss? I’m telling you, don’t think about tricking my mommy."
Looking at Baby Hawthorne’s determined expression in protecting her, turning his back on everything, Raina North decided: "President Hawthorne, slow journey just won’t send you off."
After she finished speaking, she swiftly turned her back.
Baby Hawthorne lay on Raina North’s shoulder, grinning triumphantly at Elias Hawthorne.
Elias Hawthorne looked at his son, with his handsome face a bit dark, but deep in his eyes, there was a glimmer of gratification.
At least this son wasn’t raised in vain.
Police Station.
Elias Hawthorne personally brought Aidan Lynch to bail out Quinn Thorne.
