Chapter 19: Chapter 19: The Saint of the Libra, We Meet Again

[Location: Tino City, Prince’s Mansion’s Bedroom]

A pair of slender hands, already calloused on the knuckles, flipped through a blank page.

The quill pen dipped in ink, lightly brushed against the paper.

"The matter of the Tino explosion has basically come to an end, and I finally achieved the first stage of victory."

"Beatrice took away all the slimes from the Little Swan, who seemed really unhappy and even kicked me once before leaving."

"The force was too light, it was almost like she’s throwing a tantrum, she’s so adorable."

"I told Beatrice about the method to evolve giant slimes, got teased by my dear wife once."

"She said she would keep the promise of the Genie Lamp; somehow I feel like she’s expecting me to use this promise to do something a succubus should do."

"But I refused this promise, in a world with gods, being cautious is a long-term survival prerequisite."

"There is follow-up on Snow’s matter, the Secret Guard used truth serum."

"Bad news: Many people from the outer city resign, not because of being marginalized, but because they were long placed on the front line by Snow, stuck in the warehouse for years, polluted by magic substance and had to resign due to physical discomfort, can’t serve as evidence of Snow’s cronyism."

"Good news: Snow is convicted of intentional assassination, endangering empire stability, soon to be sent to the guillotine, perhaps, pop the champagne!"

"What bothers me, though, is Snow planning to use the explosion to cover up the truth of the processing plant, not his own idea."

"It’s said he couldn’t handle the magic waste and was seeking solutions privately when a mage voluntarily came to offer suggestions."

"Beatrice has already arranged the Secret Guard to search every mage within the kingdom based on that person’s looks, fearing there might be deeper secrets."

Louis paused for a moment, recalling the experiences of the original owner, marveling at the world’s truly unpredictable nature.

It doesn’t matter, let’s meet challenge with tactic.

He chuckled softly and continued to write.

"The White Tower received a royal secret order, and the mages conducted an evolution experiment based on my idea."

"The good news is, the mystery of giant slime evolution has been solved."

"The bad news is, the possibility of using giant slime as a pet and summoned beast hasn’t been fully resolved."

"Contracting a single slime is simple, but after evolving into a giant slime through the aggregation of ten thousand Demon Cores, the contract power of a single slime has almost zero impact on the giant slime."

"An uncontrolled summoned beast has its value significantly reduced, but still holds plenty of potential."

"However, this has nothing to do with Limuru, perhaps because it’s inherently special, or perhaps influenced by the sin of Greed, each Demon Core it devours becomes part of it."

"It is the natural core of a giant slime, a manifestation of greed."

"Just don’t know whether an 11th-level giant slime will affect my body."

Louis dipped the quill one last time.

The magic lamp in the bedroom flickered slightly, illuminating his sculptural and exquisite features.

"I don’t know where this journey to another world will lead me."

As the text fell onto the diary’s main body.

Beside the main body of the diary, the future diary began to emit a red glow.

Louis’s eyes lit up.

This is a sign of correcting history.

He decisively flipped to the last records of the future diary, but to his disappointment, he was once again sent to the guillotine.

"Why hasn’t it changed?"

Louis seemed annoyed.

So he flipped the diary forward.

What made his pupils contract was that Beatrice’s death only extended two years later, even...

Olivia unexpectedly died together also 12 years later.

Louis became emperor once more.

Then, two years later than originally planned, was pushed to the guillotine by the revolutionary army.

Louis’s brows twitched wildly, and in a trance, heard the crisp sound of the trapezoidal blade falling again.

Flipping forward, he wanted to see exactly what’s going on.

Moments later, his gaze focused on the two recent events.

The first one was originally in the original owner’s diary’s future —

"The Sapphire Dragon Disaster"

This marked the start of Ense Empire’s insufficient defense corps guarding the Imperial Capital after the Tino explosion.

The Imperial Capital of Ense Empire, Tino, is located on the left side of the entire Ense land’s Burning Smoke Mountain Range.

The sea breeze blowing from the Fallen Star Sea, after being blocked by the Burning Smoke Mountain Range, turns into rainwater often enveloping Tino City’s surroundings, laying the foundation for this fertile land.

The Sapphire Dragon Disaster occurred between the Burning Smoke Mountains and Tino City.

About half a month after the Tino explosion, the Burning Smoke Mountains underwent massive changes.

Two adult sapphire dragons, of unknown arrival time, crazily attacked the creatures dwelling on the mountain range.

In just half a month’s time, creatures attacked by dragons were forced to leave their homes, migrating westward.

The demon disaster formed by a large number of creatures has a huge impact on many towns, settlements, and villages under the Burning Smoke Mountain Range.

Finally, Ense Empire assembled a dragon-slaying squad led by legendary warriors, penetrated the rear, and killed the two sapphire dragons, ending the root of this chaos.

However, the creatures that had left their homes had already descended the mountain, and how could they possibly return meekly?

Creatures are called creatures not only because they can use part of magic, but also because their ferocity, like demons.

Up until half a year after the Sapphire Dragon Disaster, Tino City’s second-line army was forced to be stationed externally to deal with the aftermath of the demon disaster.

This matter is relatively easy to resolve, just find a way to take care of those two sapphire dragons.

If not afraid of some bored dragons causing trouble for Ense, forming a dragon-slaying squad and acting in advance could solve the root cause.

Louis already had a plan for this.

But this time, a previously unrecorded event was added in the diary—

"Dragonbone Prairie Shepherd Disappearance Case"

This was something future-self discovered while investigating the Sapphire Dragon Disaster.

The Dragonbone Prairie, originally located between the Burning Smoke Mountains and Tino City, should be a safe zone with abundant pasture and high-quality livestock.

But recently, reports of shepherd disappearance have been continuous.

A brave shepherd once traveled to the pasture boundary to investigate and discovered traces of creature activity.

He informed the farm owner of this matter, but the farm owner ignored it.

So this shepherd trekked over twenty kilometers to reach Tino City, intending to report this matter to the city’s officials.

Upon hearing this, Jino Kaichen, the Captain of the Royal Guard, immediately dispatched an exploration team.

But after wandering nearby and not seeing any creature traces, they could only temporarily retreat.

However, on the third day after the reconnaissance team left, the happiness of the shepherd’s three-member family was torn apart by creatures rushing into the farm.

Future-self specifically marked this event.

One reason is that future-self considers this a precursor to the demon disaster.

The other reason... is because that little daughter from the shepherd’s family, who remained, has a very special identity.

Louis’s slender fingers slowly caressed the name on the future diary.

His expression gradually became twisted, even somewhat sinister, and the tail behind him thrashed, making a loud sound:

"Grace Brent... Saint of the Scales, didn’t expect we’d meet so soon."

Louis’s guillotine PTSD flared up again.
