"All of this was merely your machinations."

An Nuan stood up, suppressing the pain in her palm, and said coldly, "It is you who have been persistently harassing me."

An Nuan couldn't help but gasp, the abrasion on her hand truly hurt to the point of breathlessness.
She took a deep breath, blowing softly to alleviate some of the pain on the back of her hand.
"Heh, it hurts now?" Shen Xizhou sneered, his eyes filled with intense disdain.
"An Nuan, when you were setting a trap for Ruowei, she was injured that day, far worse than you are now."
"Shen Xizhou, what happened that day was not as you saw it."
"I was taken away by Huo Yunshen, and it was Nangong Jin who appeared and saved me. As for why Xu Ruowei suddenly appeared there, I have no idea."
"And how she got injured, I have no clue either. It has nothing to do with me."
Seeing Shen Xizhou scoff, his expression so cold that it felt like a knife cutting through An Nuan's heart.
For some reason, an inexplicable sense of grievance welled up within her.
"Shen Xizhou, are you finished speaking? If you are, please leave my sight immediately."
"I have no desire to exchange any more nonsense with you."
"Heh, in a hurry to make me leave? Afraid people will know how vicious you are, is that it?"
"Or perhaps, afraid that Nangong Jin will find out about your wicked side and leave you."
Shen Xizhou's cold voice rang out again, mocking, "An Nuan, you will pay the price for what you have done."

Listening to Shen Xizhou's words, An Nuan looked at the man before her with a calm expression.
She was grateful that she no longer harbored any feelings for him; it was only the false accusations that made her heart ache.
She was even more fortunate that when he had apologized to her before, she had held firm and refused to forgive him.
He truly was not worth her forgiveness.
Heh, his apology was only a week ago. In just one week, his words had changed, and his attitude towards her had shifted. Heh, his affection was truly fragile to the extreme.
Suddenly, An Nuan no longer wished to speak with Shen Xizhou. She wanted to pull her hand away but found she lacked the strength.
At this moment, she almost resented herself for not being able to break free.
Shen Xizhou raised an eyebrow, watching An Nuan's struggle, and a cold smile curved his lips, like that of a demon. Just as An Nuan exerted herself, he directly let go. An Nuan stumbled and fell, hitting her forehead against a stone stump nearby. Blood flowed from her forehead, covering her entire face, a sight that was quite chilling.
"An Nuan, stop acting in front of me. Do you think by deliberately injuring yourself, I will believe that this has nothing to do with you?"
"Perhaps I would have believed you before, but now, I absolutely will not."
An Nuan felt a bit dizzy. She couldn't get up and could only lean against the stone stump, trying to regulate her breathing.
She looked at Shen Xizhou and said coldly, "Shen Xizhou, I am not acting, and you should be the one who knows best why I am injured."
"Also, can you stop acting like a mad dog, biting at me? And don't come looking for me every time something happens. Please use your brain, figure things out, and then come to me."
"Don't just believe whatever Xu Ruowei says."

An Nuan remained silent because she no longer wished to speak with the person before her.
She realized that no matter what she said, it would be wrong, and it was better not to speak at all.
An Nuan didn't know what had happened to Xu Ruowei later, or what she had said that caused Shen Xizhou's emotions to become so unstable.
Shen Xizhou looked at An Nuan. Seeing her denial, he directly grabbed her chin and said coldly, "An Nuan, look closely at this evidence."
"You say it wasn't you, then what about these? What do these prove?"
An Nuan looked at the photographs scattered before her. The figures in them were all from behind, but from their backs, they truly looked like her, and the person in the photos seemed to be plotting something.
Looking at the photographs, An Nuan shook her head and said coldly, "How can these photos prove that I did it?"
Shen Xizhou took out his phone. There was no image, only an audio recording.
He clicked play. The content was about how to scheme against Xu Ruowei. Most importantly, the voice sounded very much like hers.
An Nuan instinctively reached out to snatch the items away, but Shen Xizhou dodged her.
"I don't know what this is all about, but I can tell you with certainty that I have never said these words, nor have I ever done these things."
"As for these things, I truly don't know what's going on."
Shen Xizhou, however, let out a chilling laugh, "An Nuan, even now, you dare to say this has nothing to do with you? Don't you think that sounds ridiculous?"
"Heh, I was truly foolish to have believed you were framed and set up. For your sake, I let Xu Ruowei suffer so much injustice."
"An Nuan, you must have been very happy then, weren't you?"
An Nuan looked at the man before her and said coldly, "Shen Xizhou, I don't know what you're talking about."
"This is all baseless nonsense, none of it is true."
"These are all your assumptions, lacking any substantial evidence."
"Shen Xizhou, no matter where you got these things, I will not admit to what I have not done."
"An Nuan, do you think I would believe a word you say?" Shen Xizhou said sarcastically, his hand still gripping An Nuan's chin. "Let me tell you, I won't believe anything you say."
An Nuan did not answer Shen Xizhou, but calmly gazed at the man before her.
