Chapter 967: Chapter 955: Complaining to Lu Zijin
Upon hearing Qiao Jing’s words, the three little ones hesitated for a moment but eventually gave in.
“Fine, we’ll head back first and come again next time.”

“He distanced himself from you because he clearly wanted to avoid getting entangled with you, so he drew a line early to prevent further misunderstandings!”
“Nonsense! Not a word of truth comes out of you three sisters’ mouths, just lies!”
Sun Mingzhu was exasperated, her face twisted with rage, “It’s definitely Qiao Lao San who slandered me in front of Lu Zijin, trying to drive a wedge between us, hoping to snatch him away from me!”
Sun Mingxin chimed in indignantly, “That’s right, Director Lu was so good to my sister before, it was obvious he liked her, but since meeting Qiao Lao San at the hospital last time, his attitude changed abruptly—it must be Qiao Lao San’s doing! Don’t try to deny it!”
Qiao Jing raised an eyebrow slightly, her lips curling into a mocking smirk, “I’m honestly curious, where do you two sisters get this confidence from?”

Sun Mingzhu, already furious, was further infuriated by these words.
Sun Mingxin also felt unjust for her sister, gritting her teeth, “Stop talking nonsense! Watch us tear your mouth apart today!”
With that, the Sun sisters charged toward Qiao Jing, swinging their hands, ready to attack.
Just then, a calm male voice approached, “What are you all doing?”

Sun Mingxin, neck braced, lied without blushing or showing a hint of guilt.
Sun Mingzhu turned her head, trying to explain to Lu Zijin, “Director Lu, I didn’t, please don’t believe their nonsense…”
However, as Sun Mingzhu spoke, Lu Zijin had already started walking towards Qiao Jing.
Qiao Jing watched Lu Zijin approach and raised an eyebrow slightly, asking, “Did you need something?”
Lu Zijin nodded and straightforwardly said, “It’s like this, a patient just arrived at the hospital with symptoms similar to Zhang Chao before—a high fever that won’t subside and no identifiable cause.”
“I tried the treatment method you taught me last time, but it didn’t work. I assume the symptoms are similar, but the root causes are different. So, I wonder if you’re available to come and help take a look?”
“Sure, I’m free. Let’s go.”
Qiao Jing agreed without hesitation.
Their conversation had no awkwardness or formality, like friends who had known each other for many years.
Sun Mingzhu stood to the side, repeatedly trying to join the conversation but found no opportunity to interject.
After greeting Qiao Hong and Qiao Lin, Qiao Jing left with Lu Zijin, discussing the patient’s condition as they got into the car.
