It had to be said that Minato was, comparatively speaking, almost a perfect man.
His strength, personality, intellect, and emotional intelligence were all at their peak.
He became Hokage at such a young age, married a beautiful and wealthy woman, and reached the pinnacle of life.
It was just a shame he died so young.
Lin Nan glanced at Minato, not expecting him to see through his intentions so quickly.
Lin Nan possessed Kurama's chakra within him, a gift from Naruto, pure and unadulterated.
Therefore, by using this Kurama chakra, he could resonate with the chakra of the Nine-Tails within Menma.
It was the same principle as in the Fourth Great Ninja War, when Naruto’s Nine-Tails had already sensed the arrival of the Edo Tensei Minato before Naruto himself had reacted.
Although Lin Nan had pushed the Kurama chakra to its limit, he could only manifest a fox head, unable to produce a radiant, golden Nine-Tails like Naruto.
The reason for this was that Lin Nan did not possess the Nine-Tails himself, but only the simulated Nine-Tails chakra provided by the system.
However, even so, it was more than enough to resonate with the true Nine-Tails.
"Roar!"
Suddenly, Lin Nan’s heart shuddered, his ears rang, and a roar filled with hatred and ferocity echoed in his mind.
The Nine-Tails!
It was still in Konoha Village!
Minato noticed Lin Nan’s anomaly: "How is it? Did you discover something?"
Lin Nan’s eyes widened, and without answering, he leaped into the air.
"Earth Style, Slimming Jutsu!"
Using the lightness technique, Lin Nan transformed into a streak of golden light and vanished into the night sky.
It was late at night, but unlike in reality, there was no curfew. While the night market was no longer bustling, people still strolled in small groups, giving it a vibrant and lively atmosphere unlike a ninja village.
As those strolling at night looked up, they saw a golden meteor streak across the dark sky.
"A shooting star, quick, make a wish!"
People looked up, hands clasped, and devoutly whispered their impractical dreams in their hearts.
"Hey, why is this shooting star getting bigger?"
"Is it going to crash here?"
At these words, people began to scatter, though some, disbelieving, remained to watch.
Just then, the ground began to shake violently, causing screams.
Those who had been lost in happy thoughts suddenly panicked. Before they could react, the large building in the center of the night market collapsed with a deafening roar.
"Roar!"
Accompanied by a world-shattering roar, an enormous figure appeared in everyone's sight.
"It's the demon fox, the demon fox has appeared again!"
Panic ensued, and people began to flee, fear and tension rapidly spreading.
The colossal beast, with its nine slender, long tails dancing in the night sky, had fur of a strange dark brown color, and its eyes were blood-red.
Upon closer inspection, it was evident that its eyes were not fox-like vertical pupils but Sharingan with three tomoe.
The sky was filled with brilliant golden light, as if auspicious clouds were descending.
The fleeing villagers, bathed in the golden light, involuntarily looked up. They then noticed the golden light begin to flicker with lightning and descend directly upon the raging demon fox.
"Boom!"
With a deafening crash, the Nine-Tails was knocked to the ground, letting out an even more piercing roar.
It was at this moment that everyone finally saw the true form of the golden light.
It was clearly a human, radiating golden light, crackling with electricity, his cloak fluttering, like a god among men.
"Is this a god?"
"Nonsense, doesn't Konoha have a hero? Known as the Yellow Flash, unparalleled speed in the ninja world. This must be that Yellow Flash!" someone exclaimed.
"Then, if this person is the Yellow Flash, who is that?"
At this, they looked towards a tall building and saw a figure that seemed to have appeared out of thin air, with golden hair and the distinctive green vest of a Konoha ninja.
"Has someone extracted the Nine-Tails from Menma’s body?" Minato, looking at the colossal Nine-Tails before him, could no longer maintain his composure.
After all, when a Tailed Beast is extracted from its jinchuriki, it signifies the jinchuriki's death.
Lin Nan, bathed in golden light, shook his head: "No, someone has controlled Menma and unsealed the Nine-Tails!"
This Nine-Tails was noticeably different from the one in Lin Nan’s memory. Its fur color was entirely different. The Nine-Tails he remembered was a bright orange-red, while this one was like the half of the Nine-Tails seen with the Edo Tensei Minato.
In the original story, Menma could release and control the Nine-Tails outside his body. Clearly, Obito was pulling the strings here.
With the genjutsu of the Sharingan and the immense power of the Mangekyo, one could control Tailed Beasts, as both Madara Uchiha and Obito had done.
But why abduct Menma and choose to hide within Konoha?
What was Obito planning?
"Tobi, come out! Let's have a proper talk!"
Lin Nan shouted.
Thinking of Hydrangea being kidnapped as well, Lin Nan wished he could devour Obito alive.
"Tobi?" Minato heard this and silently noted the name.
"Roar!"
The only reply Lin Nan received was the Nine-Tails' roar.
The next moment, the Nine-Tails charged directly at Lin Nan, its path marked by collapsing houses, a true engine of destruction.
At this moment, the Nine-Tails, its consciousness controlled by the Sharingan, was akin to a maddened beast, a berserk...
"Beast!"
Minato roared, clearly enraged by the Nine-Tails’ destructive rampage.
With a flash of golden light, Minato vanished. The next moment, he appeared on the Nine-Tails' back.
With a burst of blue light, Minato struck the Nine-Tails’ body with a Rasengan.
"Roar!"
The Nine-Tails swung its body, sending Minato flying. That single strike was no more than a mosquito bite to its colossal frame.
Lin Nan watched.
In reality, Minato had the summoning power of Gamabunta to suppress the Nine-Tails, along with the Reaper Death Seal, to resolve the Nine-Tails Crisis, sacrificing his own life in the process.
Therefore, without his summoning abilities or the Reaper Death Seal, he was no threat to a monster of the Nine-Tails' caliber.
Lin Nan’s inaction was because he was waiting for Obito’s response.
But clearly, Obito had no intention of acknowledging him.
"Tobi, you have truly angered me!"
Lin Nan looked around, muttered, and then performed a hand seal.
"Boom!"
An immense surge of chakra caught Minato's attention.
Lin Nan’s golden light faded as blue bone structures layered themselves, followed by muscle tissue and armor, ascending layer by layer.
The explosively expanding chakra enveloped Lin Nan’s entire form. The divine power, capable of shattering all creation in a single blow, continued to grow.
Finally, a hundred-meter-tall giant appeared in Minato's utterly astonished gaze.
It was even larger than the Nine-Tails.
"The power of a Destroyer God?" Minato murmured as if in a dream.
