"Kāwēi! (Divine Might)"
The story shifts.
Now, Uchiha Madara had summoned two meteorites, each over two hundred meters in diameter, intending to annihilate the entire Shinobi Alliance.
This was an opponent even Madara himself would find difficult to handle.
Thus, he was now simply watching the impending demise of thousands.
Especially Lin Nan, a junior he found particularly interesting.
However, from Lin Nan’s face, Madara saw no fear or despair, only a hint of excitement.
“?”
Uchiha Madara was puzzled, and then heard Lin Nan murmur something.
The next moment, Madara saw the three- tomoe Sharingan of Lin Nan’s eyes gradually change in pattern.
Blood vessels began to fill his entire eyeballs, and then blood flowed down.
Uchiha Madara frowned slightly, and then looked up at the sky. The second meteorite, which was about to collide with the first, already stopped, began to twist.
With a strange muffled sound, the space at that point distorted, and then, the colossal meteorite was torn apart and pulled into it.
Finally, it vanished into thin air, leaving behind only one meteorite that had stopped moving, while the other had disappeared.
“Oh ho!”
The Shinobi Alliance erupted in deafening cheers.
This meant they had escaped death, a true escape from calamity.
Ohnoki, who had been holding up the meteorite, also let out a sigh of relief. His chakra was somewhat depleted, and he fell down, only to be caught by Gaara’s floating sand.
“As expected of Little Lin!”
Gaara brought Ohnoki back to the ground.
The meteorite, lightened by Ohnoki’s “Light-Weighted Rock Technique,” was also steadily caught by Gaara using his sand.
“Was it that kid?” Ohnoki’s voice was weak, but a trace of relief flickered across his face.
Naruto’s shadow clone stepped forward, a brilliant smile on his face: “We already said Mr. Lin is a master of ninjutsu, he can do anything! One meteorite is a small matter. I once saw him punch a meteorite into pieces. He probably didn’t smash it now to avoid collateral damage!”
“Smash it into pieces?” Gaara and Ohnoki were astonished.
Naruto scratched his head: “Actually, I didn’t see it with my own eyes, I heard him say it afterward. I was a bit groggy then, but the meteorite did explode, so it should be true!”
Ohnoki wasn’t concerned with that. He merely gazed at the figure in the distance, murmuring as if in a dream: “He saved the lives of tens of thousands. After this battle, he will surely become a hero of the shinobi world. But I want to know, how did such an outstanding ninja die?”
Naruto and Gaara fell silent.
“Lord Madara, your attack seems to have failed!”
Meanwhile, "Wu" chimed in, not one to shy away from stirring trouble, reminding Uchiha Madara.
Uchiha Madara’s expression showed neither joy nor sorrow. He simply stared silently at Lin Nan.
Lin Nan, covering his bleeding eyes, exclaimed “Holy shit,” and sat down on the ground, clearly exhausted. The two Susanoo beside him had vanished.
At that moment, Lin Nan felt as if a fist-sized grain of sand had gotten into his eye. He hadn’t expected that while his reanimated body felt no pain, his eyes could.
It was utterly bizarre.
“Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, Susanoo, Space-Time Ninjutsu!” Uchiha Madara asked, “What is your limit, little brat?”
Lin Nan recovered after a moment. The Edo Tensei had restored his pupil power.
He looked up at Uchiha Madara, a gentle smile on his face: “Guess? Kamisama (God)!”
“I never thought that after Hashirama and I, someone like you would appear. You shouldn’t have been born in this era. My era was the stage for your might, but alas!”
Uchiha Madara looked at Lin Nan with great emotion, then his smile widened, “Little Lin, is it? I’m getting more and more interested in you!”
“Yuck!”
Lin Nan shuddered. Why was this person like that perverted Orochimaru?
“Wu” also looked at Uchiha Madara with a complex expression, likely thinking, “Lord Orochimaru said the same thing back then…”
“Let’s continue! Let me see your limit! Is it what I think?”
Uchiha Madara rolled up his sleeves, preparing to resume the fight.
However, Lin Nan waved his hand.
“What? Are you scared? If you are, surrender to me, and I will show you the most beautiful scenery in this world!” Uchiha Madara said with a smile.
Lin Nan’s hairs stood on end. He looked at Uchiha Madara strangely, thinking, what was wrong with this guy?
No wonder Hashirama broke up with him.
“I’m not scared, I’m tired. You can’t defeat me, and I can’t defeat you. I admit, you are also an Edo Tensei. Even if I defeat you, I can’t seal you in a short time. So…”
Lin Nan glanced in the direction of the Shinobi Alliance in the distance, where something seemed to be happening.
“So what?” Uchiha Madara asked.
“Of course, it’s a group assault. What do you think I’ve been doing? I’ve been stalling for time!”
Lin Nan wore a harmless smile.
This somewhat threw Uchiha Madara off, but he didn’t get angry. As if indulging Lin Nan, he said, “In that case, let’s talk!”
With that, Uchiha Madara jumped down and sat beside Lin Nan.
"Wu," who was standing nearby, watched the scene unfold. Just as he was about to speak, he saw Uchiha Madara glare at him and was struck speechless.
“What do you want to talk about, Lord Madara!” Lin Nan said with a hint of disinterest, his attention completely focused elsewhere.
Uchiha Madara asked the question that was on his mind: “You are not old, you should be in your prime. Why did you die being so strong? And from which era were you?”
Lin Nan retorted, “Lord Madara is so strong, on par with the God of Shinobi, yet he died too?”
Uchiha Madara was taken aback but didn’t get angry. He merely sighed, “My era was different from Hashirama’s. You mentioned I was on par with him, so it’s only natural that I died at his hands?”
“That’s true!” Lin Nan wholeheartedly agreed.
The God of Shinobi, Senju Hashirama, was simply not a normal person.
Have you ever seen someone who could beat the Nine-Tails into submission and then say he was too strong and intended to seal him?
It was pure bullying, no, fox-bullying!
Speaking of which, the Nine-Tails was quite pitiful. It had done nothing, yet it was manipulated by others, and finally sealed for so long.
No wonder it was the embodiment of hatred. Anyone would hate in its place!
It would be more than justified if it became a vengeful spirit!
“And you? I died at the hands of the God of Shinobi. In which era did you die, and at whose hands?” Uchiha Madara asked.
After looking at Uchiha Madara deeply, Lin Nan couldn’t quite figure out what this person wanted.
Was he really attracted by my personal charm?
He hadn’t shown such strong appeal to men before!
Lin Nan took a deep breath and said, “My death was less than two months ago. I died at the hands of an old scoundrel wearing a spiral mask who could control the Outer Path Samsara! A sneak attack, damn it, no martial ethics! Watch your tail!”
“Outer Path Samsara? Old scoundrel?” Uchiha Madara was taken aback. Why did this setting sound familiar? “What does ‘old scoundrel’ mean?”
“It means a hidden mastermind behind the scenes. This Fourth Great Ninja War was his doing. You should know him, right?” Lin Nan said with a strange smile, looking at Uchiha Madara.
Uchiha Madara’s smile became stiff. He didn’t know how to respond for a moment.
“What do you think of the current era?” Uchiha Madara changed the subject.
Lin Nan looked at Uchiha Madara deeply, his mind racing. He slowly said, “This era is much better than your era of constant conflict; although there is still deception and the survival of the fittest, the vast majority of the four regions are peaceful and stable; look at how the countries are united now, all the ninja villages are working together, and we have you to thank for that!”
“Thanks to us? Isn’t this merely a facade? Even if they win the war, they will repeat the same mistakes in a few years!” Uchiha Madara gazed into the distance, watching five streams of light approaching, his voice flat.
“The future is the future. At least we are united now, aren’t we?”
As soon as he finished speaking, the five streams of light arrived not far from them, revealing six figures.
