Lu Yanbei had just finished signing a pile of backlog documents, and his head was swimming.
The materials sent by Lei Ting were at least a hundred pages long, and he didn't know when he would finish reading them, which only made his headache worse.
"Yan Ge, what's wrong?" Lei Ting asked with concern when he saw his pale complexion.
Lu Yanbei waved his hand. "Thank you for your trouble with this matter."
"Hey, we're brothers, why so formal!" Lei Ting said humbly.
"Even close brothers need to settle accounts. Help me ask your brother to have dinner sometime." Lu Yanbei was only familiar with Lei Ting in the Lei family. The others were too much older, so he didn't interact with them much.
"My brother is busy chasing a serial killer and has no time to sleep. I'm afraid he won't have time. I'll ask him when he's free," Lei Ting, the youngest in the family, had no strict demands from his elders, as long as he didn't cause trouble.
Lei Ting, like his appearance, was quite well-behaved. His grades weren't outstanding, but he still managed to finish university. Most of his family members were in the public security system, except for him. During university, he started a business with his classmates, opening an outdoor gear store. When he had free time, he would gather friends for rock climbing, car racing, and other activities, living a carefree life.
"Besides, it's about sister-in-law, so as a brother, I naturally can't stand by and do nothing," Lei Ting patted his chest chivalrously.
Lu Yanbei didn't ask for his help for nothing and handed him a card later.
"What's this?" Lei Ting asked, confused.
"Membership card for a world-renowned equestrian club." Lu Yanbei knew he liked this sport, so he played to his preferences.
Lei Ting looked at the logo on the card, and his eyes lit up. "Thanks!"
"I have something to attend to recently. This weekend, invite A Heng and Shu Fan to my house for dinner, and let's have a good get-together," Lu Yanbei opened the document bag and read through it quickly.
"Okay," Lei Ting replied readily.
Lu Yanbei finished reading the documents at seven in the evening.
Cheng Jue knocked and entered, asking if he needed help ordering food.
Lu Yanbei rarely worked overtime since he got married, and it had become a habit to return home on time to have dinner with Su He.
He raised his hand and looked at his watch, his brow furrowing slightly.
Was it so late already?
He looked at the documents still more than half left in his hand and had to stop for now. "No need, I'm heading back now."
"Okay," Cheng Jue breathed a sigh of relief.
It was his mother's birthday tonight, and many relatives were coming. He couldn't miss it.
Fortunately, the boss was getting off work on time!
Cheng Jue was cheering internally when he saw Lu Yanbei take a box out of his drawer and hand it to him.
"Boss?" Cheng Jue was bewildered.
"A gift from a business partner," Lu Yanbei explained. "It's taking up space, so take it back."
Cheng Jue took it with both hands and thanked him joyfully.
How bad could gifts exchanged between big bosses be? He was still worrying about his mother's birthday gift, and this health supplement looked expensive, which should be enough to get by.
Elderly people liked health and wellness, and there were plenty of supplements at home.
The gift box Lu Yanbei gave him was exactly what his mother liked.
When he returned home, Mother Cheng was indeed all smiles upon seeing her son's gift. "You're thoughtful!"

The other members of the Cheng family also came forward to offer congratulations.
Lu Yanbei drove himself home. After dinner, he went straight to his study.
Su He knew he had official business to attend to, so she didn't disturb him.
After taking a shower, she watched dramas alone on the sofa, crying and laughing alternately.

Su He waited for him and fell asleep on the sofa.
When Lu Yanbei came out of the study, commercials were still playing on the living room TV. His little wife, hugging a pillow, was sleeping soundly in a corner of the sofa.
Because it was summer, she was wearing a slip dress. The knee-length skirt hugged her graceful figure, revealing a stretch of slender, fair legs.
She had naturally cold white skin. Even in summer, after exposure to the sun and wind, her skin remained fair and radiant, very eye-catching.
Lu Yanbei watched her by the sofa for a while, then resignedly bent down and carried her to the bedroom.
Su He opened her hazy eyes, glanced at him, and then fell asleep peacefully again.

When Gu Yuheng and the others arrived, the fire had already been lit, and various ingredients were laid out on the table, waiting for them.
"This is aged wine my dad secretly kept. I 'borrowed' a bottle for you to try." The Gu family was in trade and bought a winery overseas. Gu Yuheng was immersed in wine from a young age, and his love for wine was etched in his bones.
When visiting Lu Yanbei's house, it was natural to bring a good bottle of wine.

Su He recognized the logo on the box and knew it wasn't cheap. "I'll have Sister Li steam them right away."
With everyone gathered, the barbecue party officially began. These young masters usually had everything done for them and had never done manual labor. It had to be said, it was quite novel.
"This lamb chop is sizzling with oil, smells delicious!"
"Brush more chili sauce on the skewers, I want it super spicy!"
"Don't grab mine! If you want one, go grill your own!"
Su He watched the few of them bantering around the grill, her eyes curving with a smile.

For example, Lu Yanbei didn't lift a finger, finding the oil smoke bothersome.
Su He was responsible for preparing his food.

The three of them gave Lu Yanbei a thumbs-up.
